She has more than 50 performances as good as this one. She does all the arrangements and they are all amazing and she makes the song her own. You should check her out. Try her Korean song called Arirang Alone. It is a magical experience. Take care.

이 곡의 편곡이 정말 놀라울 정도임.. INTRO에서 잔잔한 셀틱풍의 뉴에이지 스타일의 연주와 소향의 허밍... 이걸 처음 듣게 되는 사람들은 어라? 원곡과 전혀 다른데? 다른 노래인가? 라고 갸우뚱할 인트로임... 그래서 방송에 나온 셰인도 초반에 살짝 뭘까 하는 눈빛임... 대다수 원곡을 아는 사람들이 속는 부분임.. ㅎㅎ 그리고서 바로 원곡과 같은 리듬으로 들어가지만 속삭이는듯한 독백에 가까운 여린 감성의 흔들림을 노래함... 그러다 점점 패턴이 전환되며 본격적으로 롹과 더불어서 가스펠등을 함께 느낄수 있는 다양한 스타일로 부르니... 셰인도 헷갈리다가 열창에 감동하며 최고의 무대였다고 멘트남김... 자기곡이 가장 좋은데 이제 이걸 앞으로 듣고 싶다고 말했던가? 뭐 그런 뉘앙스로 이야기 했던것 같은데... 소향 버전이라는 말이 괜한게 아님.. 원곡을 소향의 버전으로 편곡해서 다양한 장르가 한곡에 휘몰아치니 듣는 사람은 끝나면서 진이 다 빠지며 그때서야 호흡조절하느라 힘듬.... ㅎㄷㄷ

I bet he did not expect anything like this at all, not even close.

Her heart and compassion are with every word and note of this song.
This is by far the most moving and deeply spiritual performance done by SoHyang.
This is a complete makeover of a nice but boring pop tune into a truly inspiring masterpiece.
No one should be able to cover this version since it requires both absolute technical mastery and spiritual commitment.
Definitely need to react to her performance of “Everyone”.. arguably one of her best

She was actually sick during this performance. The doctor told her not to sing as she still wasn't recovered from pneumonia but she didn't want to disappoint the audience so went on & performed. Those that are well aquainted with sohyang probably agree that she looks very tired &looks like she's thinner than normal in the face. In my opinion, although this is an amazing vocal performance, I dont think she's quite at her best here & I think that she more than compensated for that with yet another masterful sohyang arrangement.
When they went to shane for his comments he said she made the hair on the back of his neck stand up & that this was his new favourite version of the song to listen to time & time again.
I hope others are crying like me....BUT can you even guess or image if she had Been Well that night

Sohyang has a few O Holy Night performances. A few are fancam.
Many who heard Sohyang will remember her unforgettable voice, but a lot fewer are familiar with her superb ability in musical composition and interpretation. So many covers she did were spectacularly stunning yet remain respectful to the original version. This rendition of You Raise Me Up is a masterpiece that portrays her own story, presumably about her faith. The arrangement was so breathtaking as it takes you on a spiritual journey with her. Glad you made your way to react to this performance.
It is about going through trials and how God uses them to build better spiritual character in us. It is a profound step in any Christian's spiritual life. Try reading the book of Acts in the Bible and how the apostle Paul was converted and all the trials he went through to make him almost the super star of Christianity. He began as a basically Gestapo fanatic against the faith, having people put to death and imprisoned. It is a truly great story.

@@fabiani.wooper8265 She has no Korean accent and speaks excellent English with a North American accent. Sings in excellent English with perfect diction and enunciation. Maybe your PC is having a sound problem. Moreover, David Foster (Whitney's producer) has nothing but praise for her and went to Japan to do eight concerts with her. Sony Music US just tried to sign her to a record deal in 2020 but So Hyang turned them down, and it wasn't the first deal she turned away. So you are hearing things that best in the music business don't hear. Sure you are not biased or trolling us?

And the people who write up the subtitles and music scores with lyrics do make mistakes in Korea. I've seen it more than once.

She's older than you? But she looks so young. She sang it with an evangelical revival feel. My favorite version, though I haven't heard Westend's, is by BYU Vocal Point with their alumni. The sounds so real at first I thought it was a real drummer. Had to add this. I just saw a duet cover of this song on Bruddah Sam's channel that is unbelievably good. It shot very near if not at the top of my list for this song. You have got to check out Lucy and Martha Thomas. Get on them early for the world will soon be looking for them.

I don't wanna burst your bubble but she butchered it by over singing. She bored me to tears. Her accent is so noticeable when she sings "I will always love you" from the beginning to the end! Every word/lyric should flow naturally!
