Matt Stafford is severely accurate and underrated
He threw for 5,000 yards and DIDN'T make the pro bowl...thats pure hatred
Aaron Rodgers...... Drew Brees...... Tom Brady....
Enough said.
P.S. this comment didn't age well. Jameis threw for 5,000 this year but didn't make the pro bowl
@@thefateofslate9095 lol true but Winston also threw 30 interceptions
@Odysseus dawg...wtf are you talking about? You make the probowl based off your STATS in the NFL
David Leonard if that’s the case why didn’t Matthew Stafford make the Pro Bowl after throwing for over 5,000 passing yards?
@@thefateofslate9095 Brady was not in the NFC. Plus Stafford has a better year than any of them that year
Everyone always says: Stafford just threw them up there and Calvin did his magic. Looking at all 56 TDs, I have to say, Stafford deserves more credit. That were some crisp throws, man.
Darth Mustache you're right nobody ever said that about whoever was doing the same with Moss
As a Lions supporter, I definitely knew. Watch every game, every season. Even though it hurts sometimes.... well, often :-D
Talking heads are lazy, one guys says it and that's the narrative the rest of his career. Stafford will never get the credit he deserves in Detroit and it's a damn shame. Can't wait till he takes them to the super bowl and wins, just to see their heads explode!
Steven Kirk dude, stafford will never take the lions 2 a sb
us real lion fans knew that, that how we knew he'd be just as good or better with out him
I still miss that dude, watching him every Sunday and was truly amazing, hell always be the best wr and one of the most athletically talented man ever
Calvin Johnson is a legend.
Kurt Angle Doo Doo
Astrothy ding ding
Wasted on a team that is the same thing as your favorite baseball team bangs of a team
Absolutely sir
he is a hall of fame semifinalits
Matthew Stafford is so underrated... (ATL Fan)
TheDirtyBird_ 11 rise up
Where do you rank Megatron next to Julio I put them even
Jason Tremane megatron is way better
@@jasontremane4098 Megatron is way better, when jones gets put in triple coverage and still manages to catch the ball then you can say they’re even.
Fact
Those jumpball catches over triple coverage were what set him apart from anyone else imo. Greatness.
The Sexy Arab ur pic makes me not want to take u seriously lmao
Yup
Tbh the only like reason reason why he was so good because his height so give props to smaller receivers
@@DavidWilliams-hl2zc lol yes because all 6'5" receivers were putting up Jerry rice numbers...
Not all but most
Everyone is gonna hate me for this but : Stafford made 90% of those happen, and he still does with more accuracy.
megatron, in his prime, was as close to a football god as you get
Calvin is 6'5" and he ran a 4.35 40. That's a monster of a man
Maverick Derushia 42 inch vert too
That 40 was just at the combine. His best ever recorded was a 4.29
Maverick Derushia That, is no man
Calvin Johnson is no man he's MEGATRON
He was also 235 - 240 pounds throughout hit career
give us every jay cutler to packers DB completion
Aaron#12 Rodgers#12goat or Aaron Rodgers to his boyfriend
Tun Gitles lol
I believe Jay Cutler's last completed pass was a interception to Landon Collins
There's actually already out there. It's over 10 minutes lol
Aaron#12 Rodgers#12goat there already is one lol I remember watching it
This made me so sad as a lions fan
Buran Sakiri I'm a lions fan but not me lol Calvin keeps dissing us so I could care less
Royal Pazzi good the lions are a pathetic franchise that ruined Megatron and Barry Sanders' careers
The Sphinx yes if that's what you think they both could have easily left Calvin decided to Resign he wasn't forced too
megaton didn't have to sign that 6 year contract extension either if he felt that way he shouldn't have made the commitment if he felt we weren't gonna win
Buran Sakiri It's sad to see that he retired just because he was tired of taking losses in Lions. If only he never retired by now, we could have a REAL competitive division rival. Props from Packers fan here...
Top 5 WR of all time. Easy
EazyyMuthuLovinnE top 6 easily
1.Jerry Rice
2.Randy Moss
3.Dwight clark
4.Terrel Owens
5.Calvin Johnson
And yes the 1st 4 was 49ers receivers......(Faithful fan)
@@DavidWilliams-hl2zc switch moss and owens
@@hilyfe01 ya but moss wasnt a 9ers lots of his career but.... I agree I will
Dwight Clark?
The best QB / WR duo ever. Some will say Montana and Rice, but this was the perfect pairing.
i’m hoping stafford/kupp will break this one day
@@TsukiRaiki they won’t
they won't. But Stafford was throwing the ball to Calvin when he broke the record. And also to the receiver who arguably had the best season a wide receiver has had in history of this game. And I get these times are different than the past.
if Calvin Johnson came out of retirement he would still be better than any WR in the league.
jett sasser Brown and Julio might have something to say about that but he was a Megatron
Megatron = HOF
HOF means hall of fame not megatron
@@DavidWilliams-hl2zc You're stupid if you think megatron doesn't belong in the hall of fame!!
He means that Megatron deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame, right now, he is in the Hall Of Fame.
Top 5 receiver, underrated QB, good duo..
Just saw Stafford and CJ embrace each other during the Rams vs Detroit game and had to come back and watch some highlights. That duo went hard, time flies..
How did stafford not make a pro bowl this year? Most underrated QB ever!
It's actually amazing how the lions couldn't build around this. Makes me sad. These 2 were dynamic together.
I know I’m late, but couldn’t build around them when Staff, Calvin, and Suh takes up almost 75% of your salary thanks to the old rookie scale……and they wasn’t drafting well so that was a bad combination
Matthew Stafford for MVP this season. Detroit vs. Everybody.
Justin Kiwi L

Just here before the Super Bowl. Long live Stafford-to-Megatron.
Will miss Stafford in Detroit. A legend
Staffords cannon arm plus Johnson’s ability to just go up and get it made them so special shame thy could never really form a contending team
Most of these plays are really impressive, he was an amazing player.
as much as calvin has been dissing the lions i still respect him because he could have gone to another team but stayed loyal. same for barry.
Hank3666able he should have never signed an extension if they sucked so bad I know if I'm not in a favorable situation I would leave. It's not like he wouldn't have got equal to or the same money elsewhere. I don't understand why the dissing if it was his decision to stay
Sheddrick McGhee also i dont care because we did better without calvin
Sheddrick McGhee it’s called loyalty
Can't believe this guy is no longer playing in the NFL.
Here comes that stupid Odell account saying "Me and Eli are way better than this duo"
PhillyPal Lol you called it
PhillyPal Yep 😂
*Eli and I
why is everybody worried about Odell? what about me
Because he's a bigger troll than you.
6:09 one of the most hype Lion’s moments I remember. That was a good team that year, and the first drive of the season cemented it. Too bad Jerry paid off the refs.
I miss Calvin... there will never be another like him. When your QB says he didn't study game film because he had a megatron to throw it up too.... you know you're a all time great, a legend..
Awe good ole Stafford to Johnson😌😌
I can't wait to see what Stafford can do with a competent coaching staff and a reliable o-line in L.A with The Rams! I'm a life-long Lions fan but they are famous for squandering talent!
Super Bowl win
i see so much potential
Matthew Stafford is a Top 7 QB
General Panda If only he had an OL to actually play behind
General Panda he top 5 u underrating him
General Panda no he s not
Ballin Too - lion fan 😂
facts
Give mathew some credit on these throws he's underrated
Can’t wait to see the one with him and Kupp.
Notice a lot of these tds they were up tying or going up...Good things happen when you throw the ball to Megatron
great duo
2012 was a weird season considering that was the season when he nearly cracked 2k rec yards with like 120 catches. And he had 3 times as many TDs in 2011.
My favorite NFL player of all time. Look up to this guy.
Stafford's arm from goal like to goal line is RIGHT there all time
Could you imagine those 2 plus sanders and Jones? Unstoppable!!!!
miss this dude so much
A lethal combo
This is coming after Megatron dissed the lions
Good times, will miss them both
2:28 is just one of the filthiest, most swaggaliscious throws I've ever seen. Just a 40 yard laser, falling away (just for no reason other than he can- there's nobody in his face) that just drops into Calvin's chest perfectly in stride. Stafford really is a fun player to watch. Unappreciated.
Not any more brother he just won the super bowl
Watching these guys ball out was my child hood
Whats next? Moss comin out of retirement?
he been did that
We'll miss you Megatron!
Calvin is an animal but Stafford deserves more credit for a lot of these throws straight dimes!!
Those were pinpoint accuracy darts thrown to Megatron. Stafford is a 1st ballot Hall Of Famer as well.
Never seen a more dominant and uncoverablw wr in the history of the game
Beautiful
Touchdowns 51-53 I was at that game at that endzone, my first lions game, we blew em out, saw big sean perform halftime, yea best *Day of my Life*
favorite player of all time
Calvin Johnson, what a great player
Megatron should come out of retirement. He was the lions' only hope for a superbowl.
PhillyPal Stafford is playing better without Megatron tho.
That's not really true. Stafford's best year was his one year without him last season. He was MVP candidate before he hurt his hand without Megatron. Stafford spread the ball around more without him. It's sad for him to go but it has benefited
Julian Harrison exactly
PhillyPal he literally came out a few days ago and said he retired because the lions sucked
He won't return. If he returns he has to to play for the Lions and he has really bad blood with them. Hell most likely never come back
#33 was probably one of the best regular season catches of all time
The most physically dominant receiver to ever play in the NFL! And people that want to discount Stafford's accomplishments in Detroit, need their heads examined! Stafford has ALWAYS been a stud but was the victim of the same this every other Detroit great dealt with!
Monster
So humble. Makes AB and Odell look silly. He didn’t dance or celebrate for a single touchdown. He just hands the ball to the ref. #Sitdown #behumble
I love how half the time they said "Touchdown Calvin Johnson" instead of "Touchdown Lions" because he was the team. (Minus Stafford)
Jake ate a Taco two different commentators. The younger more enthusiastic guy says Touchdown Lions, the older calmer guy says Touchdown (name) like Johnson, Ebron, Tate, etc.
Man they were quite the duo.
So happy I got to witness Calvin Johnson. I am a lot younger than most of you and only got to witness the back end of Jerry Rice and Randy Moss.
It may hurt as a Lions fan for Calvin to be gone but it has tremendously benefited Stafford and the Lions. The one year without him, Stafford was an MVP candidate before he hurt his hand. He spreads ball way more now. Look how many passes he throws where Calvin is double or triple covered. He just tossed it up and hoped before
Megatron was such a menace🙌
The Lions had the most talented running back ever and the most talented receiver ever and are 1-12 in the playoffs since 1957
As a Vikings fan, I only got to see him play two or three times a season. Thanks for this video.
Stafford is underrated because he plays for the lions, great QB
GOAT
as a lions fan this video is GREAT💯🔥
THE MEGA BEAST
this dude is insane
Greatness
I saw the last one live at Mitchell’s Fish Market 👑💯
Most of his touchdowns are not running into to end zone it is just catching it over people's heads in the end zone! :)
Tight end size and strength with sub 4.3 speed equals sick combo. When you run at top speed Megatron speed walks and still has 5 yards on you DAMN!!!
How quickly we forget this guys dominance. he was in a league all by himself
Too many people don't give Stafford enough credit
Thanks for everything Stafford, sorry the Lions failed you. Always gonna be my QB 🦁
I’m with you as a Lions fans also.
That throw at 2:28 holy crap and at 3:42!! Beautiful throws!!
Rams fan. Watching this a couple days before the Rams play the Lions in the 2023 wildcard round at Ford Field. Wish Megatron was able to extend his career long enough to play under the current Lions’ coaching and management.
I'd take Calvin Johnson over any other receiver in NFL history
I always assumed the Lions just threw the ball up to him. Never paid much attention to them. But those passes by their quarterback......my Lord. The dude puts the ball where ever he needed it to be.
I wish the Dolphins had a quarterback like that.
Unstoppable duo. If only they had better players around them.
Looking at those amazing throws tell me again how people gave Calvin all the credit? I think Stafford deserved just as much credit.
yup, and if you're still here, he also threw the ball to Kupp who statistically and non statistically (as he was a great blocker) had the best season a receiver has ever had.
@@notboblowski0624 Look at all the receivers who had their best years when he was the quarterback. Calvin Johnson, Cooper Kupp, Golden Tate, Marvin Jones junior, Kenny Galloday & Nate Burleson. Every one of those receivers have nothing but the highest respect from Matthew Stafford. All have said hes the best quarterback they've ever played with.
@@BBBYpsi yup, everyone laughed when Tate said Stafford was the best quarterback he had played with, even with him playing with Russel Wilson
Mathew Stafford is the truth.
You could almost feel the bromance between those two.
0:24 Bloody action!
Matthew Stafford is a future Hall Of Famer, as Megatron already is.
Greatest WR of all time, if only the Lions didnt ruin his career
But he doesn't have any rings...
@@aaronseidl5941 lol k
Matthew Stafford made Calvin Johnson a Megatron.
kingturtle 19 they made each other great
Sheddrick McGhee I refuse to believe that Matthew Stafford didn't need that overrated bum.
danny fonseca Be quiet your farts stink.
I'm just kidding guys.
I just realized how fast Calvin was, my gosh.
I'm just happy we haven't been terrible without megatron
No joke the o line was great
Are used to not like Matt Stafford but over the last few years I realize he’s top a 10 quarterback over the last 20 years. The fact he recovered from a back injury and now he’s on the Rams playing one of his best seasons ever, proves that he belongs in the Hall of Fame. I mean these two pretty much single-handedly got the Lions to the playoffs which lions in playoff should never go together in the same sentence. Jared Goff played in a Super Bowl and even he can’t help the Lions get a win. Last year Brady showed how much the patriots need him to succeed, this year Stafford is showing the Lions why they need him
Stafford throws strictly lasers
Anyone else miss Ryan Broyles? I feel like he coulda been great had we not switched Head Coaches after his ACL tear. Always seemed to get a first down, but never got any playing time under Jim Caldwell. I mean, isn't he the SEC all time leader in receptions?
John Kochans Titus was a psycho tho. I wish the best for him, but he’s always in trouble
Kris Durham too. I wish we gave him more time. 6’6” Durham with 6’5” Calvin was fun to watch
I've never laughed so much watching a wr highlight reel
The best players are always the ones who stick with the team who drafted them, even when the team struggles
THE GREATEST RECEIVER TO EVER PLAY THE GAME IN MEGATROM
