- Maxim's de Paris in the Astor Tower in the Gold Coast was visited by all manner of celebrities in its 20 years of operation starting in 1963. It was sitting vacant under city ownership in recent years when Adam and Victoria Bitler decided to buy it and transform it. CBS 2 Streaming Anchor Brad Edwards reports.

I've been down there in the early 90's. It was glorious, it's a shame it's only for a few now.
$5,000 to join and $300/month for dues-and you still might have to sit at a tiny, hardly private table so ridiculously close to other people. What a pretentious rip-off!

Can't afford it but love the idea and love the thought of people who have worked hard and have earned the dream to afford it can have a safe place away from the scumbags of that horrible city
