Let me clear this up! There is nothing wrong with sitting on your phone during your rest times, especially if you need longer rest times (3-4 mins) it’s just the blatant disregard that I’ve seen with some people that aren’t there to train. Sitting on a busy machine “resting” for 10-15 minutes using the machine as a chair. It’s all about considering others in the situation🙏🏼 much love my bros!

@@SynnyXX world
I've taken 15 minute rest times before since I'm hypoglycemic and have to wait for my sugar levels to normalize after a big set and I'll ask people if they're cool with me coming back and rotating in-between sets after I'm feeling good again. Most people aren't douche bags where I work out so they understand and agree usually and when they don't they just say they'll come back after I'm done
@@PremixedDoge broooo I’m also hypoglycemic! I snack on some raisins during my workout to prevent the dips. And that’s fine bro as long as you tell people you’re resting and they can go ahead 🙏🏼

Yeah I actually started working out a few months after I made this comment, but thanks anyway ☺️
I completely agree, I hate when someone sits on the bench for like 2 hours does 1 set and then just sits at the bench and doesn’t allow anyone to use it.
There was this dude doing dumbbell presses on the only bench in the gym that adjusts to a sitting position. He'd do a set, then take pictures of him flexing for 5-10 minutes, then do another set. I mixed up my workout hoping he'd be gone by the time I needed the bench but he was still there, with his 10 lb weights flexing in the mirror so I just sat down and stared at him until he left
Guy: "How many sets you got left?"
Me: "Probably 4"
Guy: "Ok, cool"
Guy: *Stands right next to me for the next few minutes*
Yeah man and you feel so uncomfortable that you leave the machine to him
don't you do that thing where you "take turns"? I don't know the proper expression but basically one person does one set and while resting another person uses the machine. It's considered normal in my country

@@jasonmelvin9102 he must be one of those incels trying to look alpha on internet by freely vomiting their hate and agressions on other people. Also, he must not be very intelligent because he doesn't understand jokes
My additions:
If you go to the gym to socialise make sure that the the other person is on the same page AND that you DO NOT occupy a machine while doing so.
Also just because I'm looking down at my phone it doesn't mean that I'm on facebook, I need 60-90secs for recovery between sets during which I keep notes of my progress which is essential for the kind of program that I follow yet I've seen people giving me "the look" assuming that I am just on social media wasting their time.
Last, headsets / airpods etc is a clear sign that this person is trying to focus and doesn't want any kind of interaction.
When I go to the gym, I just put on a playlist and hit shuffle, and focus on my workouts. This is what we need to do as people, not just in the gym but in all common spaces, we all need to step up our etiquettes and consideration of other people.

@@christopher6337 wth is wrong with your gym... why are people blowdrying their balls...?
The "Leg Press" segment really hits home: it's really tedious to put everything back in place, and due to the pandemic you need to disinfect the machine and the weights you've handled, but you know you're doing it because it's correct towards the other clients, and if everyone behaves correctly going to the gym becomes a much better experience. Fortunately since I never go training at peak hour usually there's just 2-3 people left, so nobody occupies machines I need to use.
You guys disinfect ?
@@danialyousaf6456 Italy, normatives for Covid recently mellowed due to vaccination and such, so certain public activities like gyms have reopened. Cleaning machines was a good behaviour anyway since you definitely don't wanna sit onto some else's sweat, now it's necessary.

Did his balls touch the drier?
Probably not.
I've seen a guy who drys his hairy back with the hand dryer on the wall. the gym I go to doesnt have hair dryers for mens and after hearing this I'm glad they dont. One thing I've noticed recently tho is guys leaving ball power all over the shower floor
So you're telling me that when I dry my balls and my ass with a hairdrier in the bench press next to the gym staff and people I make them feel uncomfortable?
In the gym I go too you have to pay for showers. It's a lower cost membership because it doesn't include baths. Since it's so close to my house idgaf and just shower at my house. It's also better due to the pandemic
