I’m not familiar with this singer. Looked him up..sad to see he died in 2016. The emotion he injected into this song was reminiscent of the heart and soul that Dimash pulls off so well in his performances. Although I’m a Nightwish fan, I’m open to all musical generes. A very enjoyable song.

How good, that you decided to react to singers, Mexicans, one of the things, of which Mexicans stand out in music, is that when they sing they cry, they sing crying, they draw all the power of that voice, from the bottom of their heart, and they have a very beautiful voice, as well as many of them are Juan Gabriel, Vicente Fernandez, Pedro Infante, Miguel Mejia Aceves, among others to mention a few,
take good care of yourself and a hug from Mexico.

Juan Gabriel definitely for us Mexicans was and will be a composer, interpreter and performer who made Mexican music and culture greater. He broke barriers in a traditionalist and macho society. His shows were known to be legendary and something that many people wanted to experience.
He began making music on the border between Mexico and the United States, ranchero type, then pop and mariachi. If I remember correctly, this concert at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City was probably one of the first times that the music of the "people" or the "masses" was allowed to play in a place considered for "cultured" music. that's why they made versions with grandiose crew arrangements and longer structures.
I think, without a doubt, that that time was the peak of his vocal ability, because some years later he had respiratory problems that caused him to lose lung capacity and although he continued to give concerts, he never regained this level. His death in 2016 really struck a chord with the Mexican people and because he was so well-known and respected, that same building, the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City, was set up so that his audience could give him their final farewell.
As a composer, as they have already said, he had more than a thousand songs recorded by him and other singers and sometimes when he went to give a concert in some city in the United States, for example, he would perform 3 days in a row at the same venue and his fans would buy tickets for the three dates because every day he played a different show, since he had a huge repertoire.
