Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Review - The Final Verdict

- Cygames' Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is like an enhanced version of its predecessor, but don't let that put you off. The gameplay mechanics are much more involved, with more potential for mix-ups courtesy of Triple Attacks, Raging Strikes and Chains for aggressive players, and the Brave Counter to get out of tight spots.
You also have tons of cosmetics to unlock, an in-depth Training Mode and, perhaps best of all, rollback netcode for online play, which works well.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising stands out as a fighter despite so much competition. - Hry
No connection quality indicator when matchmaking
I’m glad that this game is finally getting the credit deserves. The bass game was good but everyone had complaints about it’s online connectivity so now I hope everyone can enjoy it.
@@user-nt3ve3du1z if you knew what I meant what was the point of typing all of that🤡
this and relink in B2b months is insanity man, cygames is killing it

"bass game" 🎣
Been grinding the free version, definitely picking it up next paycheck lol, the fact theres content coming almost every month is amazing
Very fun game and I love everything about it's presentation
So this game is like if boss fights in final fight were a fighting game?
This and street fighter 6 outsmarting mortal Kombat in nearly everything right now 😂😂 thankfully i own all 3 this one being my recent purchase looking forward to seeing where this goes Glad they decide to give this game another chance to shine now it's one of the go to fighting games out there right now for a good price
this kof 15 and sf6 are so much better and guilty gear strive is better then mk1. mk isn’t fun.
i was deciding to buy or not to but the Demo was great so i decided to get it since i want to play other characters
How long you tested it? Still on the fence.
@@DrCurvy for a bit tbh its also quite hard to decide since u cant rly use that many chars in free version
@@PoesYTi have a friend whos grinding in the free version since he wanted to main gran anyways
Where can I download on google
I wouldn't call this a sequel at all. It's just the complete edition. They finally finished the game.
Need dragon ball fighterz like game with one piece characters
guilty gear strive seems better
Agreed
Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra would also be interesting too. Or even Genshin Impact as a fighting game.
Mid anime versus
@@joesunday199 final fantasy should be a 2d fighter.
Howdy 🤠
This game is VERY, VERY good!
They totally lost me when they took out the RPG mode and couch coop for it, glad they had a demo so I could try to play it though and see for myself, that was great of them. :/
they didnt
They still have it?
@@baal7325 No, RPG mode is story mode; and you cannot play coop same team splitscreen
So it's bad if all I would play is single player modes?
I think this is just great. The core of the first one was there but totally dead on arrival. This takes all that and makes it a legit competitive fighting game with meaningful extras.
I'm looking for someone who doesn't play GBF on a browser and would like to give the promotional code to good hands 🙏
Fighting games don't have enough content in them to warrant a price of more than $20 if you don't play online. Always will be the case.
WOW removing couch coop for story is such an improvement. This was one of things making this game special.
They ruined the game for me now
I also loved the rpg mechanics
The biggest L is that I can't assign a dedicated jump button. Singelhandedly the reason I'm thinking of refunding it. A friend gifted it for us to play together and I'm thankful, but I rather he gets his 50 bucks back and we keep playing strive together.
I kinda wanna get this but i dont want it to be another DNF. Wasted $ on that
Also so far the stream charts for all time peak is only 6,000 on release.. dnf was over 11k. I know it’s day one but that just means this game has a better chance of dying faster than dnf. It could either be stable popularity like strive or a loss cause like dnf
Most likely there'll be plenty staying on this game now that it's actually solid. Game is a little too pricey right now, but the demo is so good it'll be a great way to gauge player interest in the long run.
@@qxpn9220this is a lie, granblue has crossplay. Dnf did not. The player count is way higher than just steam. You can see literally by just looking at how many full lobbies there are (each lobby holds 100 ppl) lots of people are playing.
I am incredibly on the fence of buying this game
Free to play version available
I know, it’s more of will the player base still be here in 6 months.
Hoping that since this now has rollback people that were curious about the original version will check it out. Not to mention the free version can potentially bring in more players
Also has crossplay which should definitely help keep it alive
buy it
I don’t think some mechanic changes, 4 new characters, and rollback is worth the price of an entire new game. Especially since I have the original version with all of the dlc already. Just can’t justify spending all that money on it
Guys, try to match the narration with the video... :-/
I mean, you talk about modes and stuff and you show the same battle...
I’m so tired of fighting game developers simplifying everything. Whenever I see/hear a dev talking about how “accessible” their new game is, I immediately become less excited about it. Just look what they’ve done to Guilty Gear for fuck’s sake.
Well developers want to make profit. It only makes sense that they would want to increase the range of buyers by making games accessible. Luckily for hardcore fighting game players, I’m one myself, they keep the things in the game you know and love. If you don’t like simple commands, great don’t use em you don’t have too.
What's with too much and use story mode footage. No one checks a fighting game for story mode. All these game recording seems to be done by someone who's never played a fighting game.
First comment
Guilty gear strive is a shit fighting game, I doubt this game is worse.
It comes down to the community if they’ll stay here for another 6 months. The difference is that guilty gear series have always had good impressions through decades even with a shit game like strive.. meanwhile gran blue had the chance to present itself for a new fighters but failed miserably through covid
Sound like you been getting your ass beat in it lol
Aww man another fighting game I’d love to play, but apparently I can’t play fighting games anymore 😢. My right wrist starts to flare up and get numb if I button mash fast.
