Teaching In Kuwait vs Teaching In Dubai

  • In this video I compare teaching in Kuwait with teaching in Dubai. These two countries are separated only by a 1 hour flight but are quite different to live and work in.
A huge factor in what your teaching experience might be like will depend on the school you are at. In general UAE students are very similar to Kuwaiti students. You won't find any huge cultural differences between them. If you are teaching at an international school however then you will be teaching a huge variety of nationalities and will have a totally different experience altogether.
For more about what it's like to LIVE in these two cities you can see more here:

I've been to both countries and if I'm honest with you, I would say I like Kuwait better.
No hate on Dubai though, I've been to Dubai on New Years by the Burj Khalifa and it's great!
But I just enjoy Kuwait much more because the food is great, the heat is great in my opinion, and I love how Kuwait is not afraid to show their religion.
Dubai is amazing, too, but I just think they try to impress the people from the west more.
Either way, I LOVE both, probably my favorite places on Earth, but I prefer Kuwait.

Btw its widely known in the UAE is that dubai is not the most comfortable place to settle and live in, however its still very comfortable, Abudhabi however, is in my opinion the best place to live and settle in. My mother is from kuwait and my father is from abudhabi, so my mother moved to abudhabi and she says its a million years better than kuwait for living and settling in. Dubai is basically a tourism destination so its not VERY ideal to live in. But trust me come to abudhabi and you’ll find a whole different lifestyle and it’ll become your favorite place in the world, i promise

The only Saudi King I like is King Faisal! الله يرحمو andالله يرحم sheikh Zayed I hope as a Muslim Ummah we reunite once again maybe this time by Ottoman Erdogan lol... hes trying to do it by his expansion and influence. Ok out of topic! Coming to Dubai its more conservative compared to West... like even in sex outside marriage is illegal, or alcohol there are restrictions and only in private (and there are many other things that i can list thats not like the west).. Sharjah banned it al hamdella. But in the end this is an Islamic country and we must not please others. Btw im not from UAE but i was born and raised in this beautiful . HAHAHA, I can tell you that is not true because I'm from Al Ain and live in Sharjah, number one Sharjah is famous about holding on to their traditions and all their cultural museums. I live here and I can see the defence when I drive to Dubai. The reason we moved from Al Ain is that of how underdeveloped they are. to the point where the people cant speak English so how can you even consider that westrnized

I compared teaching in Kuwait to Dubai because I’ve lived and worked in both Kuwait and Dubai. These two places are roughly the same size and population so easy to compare.
It’s hard to compare Kuwait to the UAE because the UAE is much bigger and every emirate is totally unique and has its own character. I only know Dubai. I do not know the other 6 emirates.
As for the picture - really very little thought went into which clip of Kuwait I used. It’s no secret that Dubai is way more built up and modern than Kuwait… I’ve made loads of videos about Kuwait so please watch those first before you get upset.
Anyway - more importantly, thanks for watching, I appreciate all your comments! Mike

Welcome to UAE Arabic Mike, I'm an Emirati girl and I'm just subscribed, as you said he UAE is home to over 200 nationalities. Emiratis constitute roughly 20% of the total population, making UAE home to one of the world's highest percentage of immigrants.. Thanks for sharing with us your experience x

Sadly tho you haven't discovered any other parts of UAE ..
You compare "Kuwait" as a country with a city like "Dubai', ofc those differences will exist
you didn't spend any time exploring UAE by itself.

I believe when he said Kuwait, he always meant Kuwait city.....I might be wrong, but there are only two cities in Kuwait. However, Al Ahmadi was not really a city in that sense.

    And with lower price
+ Kuwait is a small country so we don't have trains ' now ' but it's getting bigger so I think and hope that we will have some in the future.

I never been to Dubai I live in Kuwait and I am a Kuwaiti. You're absolutely right about the education here, I am studying engineering in a private college the education is very good and there are a lot of experiences in my education. It is like you study the information and applied this information to your life not only classes, but also physical working such as workshops, labs, and internships we are here supporting those things a lot. To really understand what's your target. And I really found myself liking working in lab 🔬 as a mud engineer. This is my experience and I just shared it here. Thank you 😊

There is no differences between Kuwaitis and Emaratis at all. But thank you for the video. And i love the British accent always easier for me to understand.
