Kuwait Apartment Tour | Expectations vs Reality

  • I've been living in Kuwait for nine months now and I've been putting off filming my Kuwait apartment tour for that whole time. But today's the day! Here's my Kuwait apartment tour so you guys can see where I've been living in Kuwait. The apartment I've been living in in Kuwait doesn't belong to me. One of the perks of working in Kuwait is that my apartment is provided for me. It doesn't really look like it did in the pictures so it's going to be more of an expectations vs reality type apartment tour.

    I think that odd window in the kitchen is an air shaft for fresh air intake. If you open it, and crack the balcony window, you might get a fresh air cross flow.

    Im sorry that ur experience in kuwait is awful and you have a bad luck, thats how your showing it to others.But, alot of expats (americans and british) love kuwait and are living the best of it and many have lived in kuwait for long years because they admire it and they understand that they are living in the dessert thats why its hot and dusty. I dont like how your showing others the bad impression of kuwait and making fun of it when really its not how it is.If you dont like kuwait that doesnt mean every expat doesnt like it here. Good luck you did a right choice in leaving kuwait because its not the right place for u.

    • @AimeeRebecca
      @AimeeRebecca  Před 6 lety +6

      On the contrary. I think I actually said in the video that my apartment isn’t a reflection of how everyone lives in Kuwait so I’m certainly not making any broad generalisations. I also said I was really grateful to have my apartment provided for me as part of my contract.
      I have never said that my time in Kuwait was awful. In every single video I ever made about Kuwait I expressed the positives of living there and reiterated more times than I can count how happy I was that I had made the decision to move there. If you sensed any kind of negativity towards Kuwait in this video of me just showing people where I lived then that was not based on any comments I made or anything I said.

      Nooo you don’t want to live in America. We’re being robbed here and our government doesn’t function. Housing costs are getting ever higher while wages are down. An ambulance ride to the hospital costs a couple thousand dollars alone. You can only have insurance if you have a job too, this in a country with a precarious employment situation. We have a gig economy. The small towns are dying and the big cities are getting so expensive that even communal living with a bunk bed costs $1200/month. STAY AWAY from this country.
