I got mine on clearance at Walmart for $50, about 2 years ago I believe, and I thought I just got a bad upholstery attachment, I didn’t know they were all junk for this model!

I have to say, I looked for reviews and none actually talked about the things you did. I thought those points were very important. I had a Hoover windtunnel and the hard wood setting is what turned off the roller. Sad that this one does not turn it off.
@Intellitech Studios is there a machine you could compare the hart compact upright to?
I recommended her a bagged Hoover T Series she loves it so much
Where is motor filter I knows filter tank but motor filter ? Do we need replace please do video take it out put it back model 2260 bissell thanks
i like these hoover vacuums but the price is a bit high
I was at Walmart and as a cleaner, I sometimes browse to see if there are any deals. Happened upon this vacuum on a clearance for $20. For that price, it definitely made sense. And I agree that it's definitely not an incredible vacuum, I typically use Riccars and dysons for the business but just to have a spare as a backup, I'm not upset about a $20 vacuum.

Question, is there a way to turn off the brush roller when you are using the tools/hose? I bought this and it does not have any way to turn off the brush roller on the bottom while I'm using the hose and its annoying! Thanks for your overview, super in depth.
Unfortunately that feature was removed from this model, so there isn't a proper way to shut off the brushroll

Thank you so much for this review, I strongly agree with you on everything! Most certainly not one of Hoover's greatest machines, they are definitely better options including from Hoover.

This machine was really disappointing to me. I bought it for my mom who has a mix of both and I too was advertised the one with the brush shut off. I paid $169 for this. I ended up returning it and paying the few extra dollars to get her the Windtunnel High Performance. It actually has the brush shut off and a VERY long 40 ft cord.
It's worth nothing that as of this comment, the price has gone down to $89. For that price, it's a much better deal. I still recommend the Elite Rewind Plus over this machine for all the reasons described in the video, but at least it makes the flaws more palatable. You still shouldn't buy it.

This Handle Release latch is the dumbest thing I've ever seen on a vacuum. Any company that has engineers this dumb don't deserve our money.
