Well judging by the fact that originally the dots in his suit were like some sort of sub space technology to hide gadgets in, he could be hiding in one of his dots or something
I feel like they would bring him back because remember the director James Gunn is the same director that directed Guardians Of The Galaxy with that in mind Groot died in the move but came back alive because of a twig of his body.
Now imagine Polka Dot Man coming back because of his dots. It would make sense

His powers were pretty close to the 40s comic he was in the polka dots he threw at batman were pretty fucking lethals
He's so cool now, his gauntlets thingies are fucking awesome.
The fact that James Gum gave him powers completely erases the purpose of the suit. Definitely doesn't seem like something a guy like him would wear, which is closer to emo goth stuff, no matter what kind of subversion you put on it. It would have been better if he can actually shoot them out of any part of his body but just chosed through arms mostly. Also how is he a supervillain instead of just a murderer, is it just because he has powers? And even still, why is it that until he does something, he's being thought of as some kind of ridiculous villain?
