Haven't been to ULTA in a while so this was fun. I'm always interested to know your thought on the products. You made a similar comment about under eye dark circles a few years ago and as someone who has them, I had a light bulb moment and realized no amount of color correction and concealer is ever going to completely hide them. So I've tried to embrace them as best I can but wish people would stop telling me I look tired or even worse, ask who hit me. Yep, they're that bad! Happy Monday, Dr Dray!! I purchased the ELF Mineral Sunscreen spray for my face to reapply SPF after 2 hours before Dr. Dray told us it needs to be rubbed in with your hands. I'm using it for the backs of my hands. The Ordinary has some good products. I alternate between the Lactic Acid 5% and 10% depending on what is going on with my skin. Always patch test is my advice because my skin reacted badly to both their Caffeine EGCG and Resveratrol serums.

The fragrance in hair care products irritates my scalp - or I think it's that or essential oils/floral waters - so I am trying what you recommended, Function of Beauty. In my formula, do you rec salicylic acid in a daily shampoo for an itchy scalp (it could be due to my styling paste - Bumble and Bumble, highly fragranced)? P.S. In my early 40's I started getting bags, so I had a cosmetic procedure to clean up my under eyes. It worked, but, it was weird to see myself without the dark circles. Speaking of body odor, I've been eating natto all this year (fermented soybeans) and find that I don't need any deoderant anymore. Maybe it's the beneficial bacteria that keeps odor causing bacteria at bay? I'm mainly eating it for the vitamin K2 benefits, to help my bones absorb calcium instead of the calcium going to arteries, etc. I feel like it also helps my skin because of its probiotic benefits, which help my gut absorb nutrients I need for good health. I just turned 70, so I need all good things to keep me healthy. I wish I had discovered this channel years ago, by the way! :)

8:47 I have dark under eye circles (hereditary). They're so bad a mom at a mom's night out asked me if my husband hit me (she thought I had a black eye). I've been HIGHLY self-conscious about them ever since.

Well said and respect Doctor Andrea for saying this out loud and by that i mean the dark under eye circles matter. We are beautiful just the way we are with our flaws so why not normalize them and be who we really are. Of course there is no problem in addressing and treating the flaw that you want to get rid of it is not a minus to you in any case. Treating our body like a temple and respecting it and admiring it like no other because it is unique 😊❤. I love neutrogena hydro boost body lotion ❤ so affordable and good too. I got super excited again with the shop with me 🎉❤.

I wear a full face of makeup a few times a week. I always use a sunscreen base of at least 30SPF. Lately I have been seeing everyone come out with setting spray with SPF to be used after you apply your makeup. Do you think this is an effective step to add? Always looking to step up my sunscreen game!

In her videos/shorts on reapplying sunscreen over makeup she doesn't recommend sprays even with SPF over makeup. There are other dermatology channels that have recommended them like the one from kate somerville and the soleil toujours.

Sun Bum makes an awesome facial sunscreen spray 45SPF. I know I should spray it in my hands first but…. When I’m kayaking here in FL I keep it handy and spray down my face, neck and shoulders frequently and so far no burn whatsoever!

Hi Dr. Dray! I am always drawn in to the pixi products because of their cute packaging and ingredients, BUT (unfortunately) I am generally disappointed with the products. I think I try to convince myself that I like them (just because I've spent the money 😅)... BUT....
And then I am somehow "influenced" yet again 😮
I have to stop that 😂
I do really enjoy your videos! ❤

2% Hydroquinone for dark circles has been a game changer for me. I use artra skin tone cream for oily skin and the old formula of ambi fade cream for oily skin. Both of these had sunscreen in them. Ugh now both aren't available with the Hydroquinone.
