chargela did better than me on my first try
lasted longer than I did đ„
is there a colab incoming with those dirty australian slot machines?
I knew I would not be the only one with this mind after seeing chargla in action
Maybe chargla needed some music?
And last ;)
The charger dry humping the Truckla wasn't the least bit awkward. đ„ș
oof eef oof eef... like that turtle video.
Oh, not at all.
I came here to post a similar comment đ
I was having flashbacks from my honeymoon..đł
there was a spark.
That's all really cool and pretty exciting, but the it can not be overstated how funny it looks seeing Chargla "anxiously and nervously" approach the Truckla port
Haha, right?
yeah, then she NPCs the Tesla mantra now.
I really wanted some sort David Attenborough voiceover for that part of the video.
"The the charger approaches tentatively... "
@@ricksarvas6563 Maybe in the 2033 24k AI upscale remaster
It was his first time. Give him some cred.
Chargla is the closest robot I've seen in demeanor to the fire extinguisher bot from Iron Man
Don't worry Chargela, the first time is always awkward!
Imagine three people and a dog watching you on your first time? Talk about performance anxiety đź
okay you win the internet for today I'm dead đ€Łđ€Ł
I call myself experienced and it seemed elegant to me

She couldâve taken 10 years and still would have beaten Tesla

There's a difference between concept and mass producing for hundred thousands person
Lol underrated comment
â@@ariihauu_mrs But also a difference between a single garage engineer and an industry-leading corporation
I love how she was like, "I only did Truckla to 80%" And then did the fix ups to 80% too
Ah!!!! đ
The cybertruck unveiling by accidentally breaking the window is comedy gold
honestly the team watching the charger slowly approach and make contact with Truckla felt like zookeepers watching two almost-extinct animals copulate successfully for the first time
Exactly my thought! đ
Perfectly described đđ
Definitely had a dog humping a leg vibe.
You just read my mind đđ

Must have been a lot of pressure for Chargela to have his first time on camera... ;-) -Daven

@@Reman1975 Absolutely would have worked much smoother is it started playing Can't Get Enough Of Your Love Baby before approaching.
Performance anxiety. đ
Hah! Find the right hole or you're a shitty robot.
Just saw the short wherein an Attenborough-esqe voiceover narrates the Chargela "docking" sequence. On top of Truckla's/Chargela's existence, I'd just like to thank Simone for listening to the fans and bringing this wonderful bit of CZcams gold to reality. It's really made my day!
This sparks joy.
Chargla still needs some balancing since it still looks a litte top- and front-heavy BUT i've seen other attempts from big companies not looking that good in later stages of development. So: Two thumbs up!
It's impossible to mistake just how hard Simone is struggling not to make a double entendre while Chargla spent a minute or two trying to orient itself the first time at 7:50
The first time is often embarassing.
Coupling is the correct engineering term. đ
*_I love her general awkwardness, so cute!_*
She has come along way from saying something inappropriate and losing a sponsor lol

Feeling a lot more confident about myself after seeing Chargela đ
Same. My work looks less shitty lol
She sounds more functional than many many working pickups I know of, lol.
Absolutely. Modern mass market pickups are so tall it's awkward to work out of.
Yeah, last time I used a company pickup, it required: the keys, a screwdriver, precision 'jiggling', and the knowledge that the brakes maybe worked half of the time and were super 'squishy'.
@Billy Maguire đ „ Nope. SPAM.
@@Tfaonc yeah, I'm 6'2 and hauling shit out of an F150 if they aren't loaded to the gills is a chore. Even I prefer shorter trucks.

On behalf of my daughter trying to make her way in the world... thanks. She has just decided to become a bio-engineer. Not really related to what you do except for the fact that she calls you a bad-ass and is inspired to be a bad-ass too.

Truckla is the design that Tesla should've gone with, it's so perfect. I can't believe it's been 4 years since you made it.
No lie I think your videos are the reason Iâm gonna give electrical work a try as a career.
Truckla is amazing.

That tailgate is seriously impressive. Well done and awesome job building a one-of-a-kind functional truck!
I put my hamster in a socket and slammed it against the furniture
Impressive, but also illegal lol. Can't have tail lights on a moving portion of the rear of the car (tailgate/trunk,etc)
@@mr.bennett108 I think the turn signals and break lights are still stationary on either side of that tail gate. The only lights that are attached to the tailgate would be the reverse lights. If those have to remain stationary as well, auxiliary reverse lights could be integrated into the bumper fairly easily.
â@@mr.bennett108
"Can't have tail lights on a moving portion..."
Actually you can, but they can't be the only ones. There would have to be a set on a non-moving portion.

Very fun.

That was a great video! All three of you watching as Chargla mounted Truckla had all the vibe of a stud breeding back on the farm. my favorite wincing moment is you shaking it by it's input port as a job well done! lolđ€Łđ
Thanks for this update on this major project. I love when creators and artists update us on their projects, builds, and pieces of art and show us how they are doing / working out so many years later. It really informs us if it is worth all of the work, but more importantly financial cost of a project like these.
I have missed Truckla. Iâm glad she is finally getting water proofed. She is too cool to not be fully living up to her potential.

âSimone Giertz, -A Close Friend of Trucklaâ đđ
The little robot humping the big car just like a dog is so cute xD
The funniest part about Truckla is it's more usable than a cybertruck. Probably more useful than most modern trucks in general, damn things are huge these days.
It's the Simone Giertz touch to her videos that make me smile. The leaving slowly for coolness and safety and humor is something many engineers on here would do, but it's Simone that's awesome enough to just nicely and somewhat awkwardly add "I hope you have a good day." Now I'm leaving the video smiling and having a good day. Thanks Simone.
I love the "CHZ LOUISE" plate on Truckla. It's such a wonderful reference to that awesome slice of a car.
"slice of a car" I see what you did there đ
The ending alone is worth the like. You are cool for sure! Good job.
7:40 The moment that most people realised they had seen a contraption like this in some video clip somewhere on the web thats NSW
I love this mockumentry style intro itâs so calming
Technically, it's a real documentary.
"under very specific circumstances" made me chuckle. Always great to see Commander Scraps inspecting things.
"It works on my machine."
Wow. Depression much?
Glad you're back.
I saw your truck once near Beronio lumber in the Bayshore. It was exciting.
Nice update video, that ending somehow is perfect for your channel. Actually finishing projects is always hard, got some issues with that myself those last details that are at times important too (like waterproofing) are worth getting done as tedious as they might be. Would've been absolutely essential here where I live but I guess in LA it can wait.... a few years.
I must admit I was slightly disappointed in the tailgate not being automatic in its opening and closing, but it certainly looks sturdy and functional.
I'm not sure how I'd describe that scene when observing the charger trying to do its thing for the first time, be wary of rogue teslas getting near chargela though! They might want to steal some free electricity.
The first thing I thought about when I saw that the tailgate pulls outwards is "Will that crumble under load? Like, could you sit on that?" - A few seconds later the affirmative was proven; very impressive!
yeah only concern I wonder about, which is probably just due to the short video, in how easy to close it is, like making sure it latches securely, and if things could get into those slides and gum them up
"Picking up the broken promises of the car world." Nailed it.
I love Truckla. It would be nice to see any auto company release such a small truck in America today. They do get made & sold for SE Asia and other areas. Dozens of hours into a prototype charger that saves 5 seconds per day. Anyone can build a prototype. Mass production is hard. I wonder who said that?
Like the broken promises of EV's in general, it will be a looooooooooooooong time before those pieces ever get sorted.
@@Nphen The Ford Maverick is pretty close to the Model 3 dimensions.
This video was so hilarious! You guys watching chargela work for the first time was too funny!
I have never imagined I'd see a smol robot gently hump a vehicle. đ
Glad that Truckla still exists and didn't end up sitting in a back lot rotting! So many project vehicles do. Very cool update! Thanks for the inspiration!
I like the part where it un-charges by disengaging and just backing away, presumably until it hits a wall off screen. Nailed it. Thereâs something about clumsy robots that makes them feel sooooooâŠ. Human? It gives them personality. Just goes to show that a robot doesnât need eyes, or fingers, or really any physical human features for personification to take place. All it needs is the ability to emulate a head tilt, and weâre totally smitten. Or is that just a me thing? đ
Just look at how people respond to Boston Dynamics outtakes. Humans have a wonderful tendency to see ourselves in things.
How was I not already subscribed? Sending love from Texas.
This is consistently one of my favorite channels on CZcams
