I get this errror --- App Record Creation failed due to an invalid attribute. Request failed with error code "ENTITY_ERROR.ATTRIBUTE.INVALID", and reason "An attribute value is invalid. ITC.apps.validation.bundle_not_available"

Just recording the Simulator (option click the screenshot button on the simulator) or using a tool like RocketSim seem to be the goto approaches :)

Probably means that that bundle id is already used by another developer? Have you tried changing the bundle id?
How do you get the mobile phone on the side of vs code displaying what it would look like? I can’t find any vids about it?

What if I used Xcode 12 does that mean I cannot submit my app on apple store?
As far as I know only Xcode 14 can currently be used to upload to the App Store. Apple blocks older versions after a few months of the new OS release.
What if my app doesn't collect any data and I do advertise? Do I then have to write this in my privacy policy and state "yes, we collect data from this app"?
If you don't collect any data you can say "no". But that totally depends on the types of ads you are serving. It's best to check with the ad distributor on that :)

The developer name is the name of your developer account.

Yes, nothing in this video uses an iPhone :) Though it does help to be able to run on a real device, it is possible to build an app with just the simulator.

Playstore? I can't help with that. In the App Store you have the option for an expedited review :)
you didnt mention about signing the app
Because that is handled automatically by Xcode. No need to worry about it when building native iOS apps.

Using ASC is part of your Apple developer program membership, which costs about $100/year.
