    Who you with here: Nath or Johnny?

    • @K1NGD0M
      @K1NGD0M Před 2 lety +4

      Nath for sure, I didn't enjoy the rap, hell, the song didn't need a feature.

      @ericarodriguez662 Před 2 lety +1

      With Nath. It didn't add anything to the song. But if you're in the pit, it's kind of annoying when the song breaks up and you look kinda dumb if you're still moshing. But it did go by pretty fast, so maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Great song though!

      Jonny, I enjoy rap in heavy music as with our last night's cold blooded, and I like that's being incorporated more. This song has been splitting fans or wcar because of its risk with this song but after listening to the lyrics I did enjoy it a lot more and it does grow on you after a while.

      @listerBE4R Před 2 lety +2

      100% Nath. The rap part is rubbish mono tone boring if your going to do a rap feature in a song it needs to fucken hit as hard if not harder than the song and it just didn’t

      I think Johnny, but I need to listen to it again without the pausing just to make sure lol.

    I just love Zero so much I can't be objective. I think he's a breath of fresh air (for me). His collaborations are great. I really enjoy this song.

    Im not a huge fan of the rap part but the lyrics in the rap part hit me deep once I read them, outside of most rap these days I related to these lyrics and he did not take over the song. I 100% see Nath,s point though and I think the song would be just as good if not better if another part was there instead but I'm not sure.

    While I personally love the rap part, I totally understand where your coming from in terms of how flat it fell comparatively to the entire song. To me it just felt like breathing room especially when performing this track live.

    • @linkgobrrr3358
      @linkgobrrr3358 Před 2 lety +1

      Absolutely right, it’s breathing room. It’s a creative way to build up your excitement for the heavy coming right after.

    • @jynxycats
      @jynxycats Před rokem

      When played live, its a backing track, and time for them to hype up the crowd, and whatnot. Kinda worked, but more for live music reasons, and not music reasons. That said, I love it in the song, but I can see how it may not be everyones cup of tea

    New song came out by this guy named Mitch Jones. Song is named West Coast Tragedy very punk song with early 2000s elements mixed with modern punk. Highly recommend if you have not listened

  • @fadence
    @fadence Před 2 lety +12

    Nath said it exactly right at 6:00 about the rap part, it was so flat. A rap verse could have worked well, but it just didn't have the same energy as the rest of the song! Would love to hear a second mix of this song without it because the rest was nutty.

    • @dustinswope9140
      @dustinswope9140 Před 2 lety

      Agreed. If you took the energy of the rap part from Derelict by Currents and swapped that for Daggers features energy, it'd be such a huge difference.

    • @BURDENOH
      @BURDENOH Před rokem

      I feel the rap part doesn’t fall flat. Lyrically it fits the song hella well. Plus I grew up on nu metal so for me it just felt natural.

    You guys should really check out the Scottish metalcore band "Bleed From Within" they just dropped a new song called "I am Damnation" and it will fulfill all your groove and riff needs, promise

  • @Serasu33
    @Serasu33 Před 2 lety +2

    Yea I agree with Nath that the flow of the song feels a bit off-putting with that rap interlude. I think if his pacing would've been faster throughout the feature it might not have felt as jarring. The song goes from punching you in the face and making you want to move to this weird pause where you're like uhhh what do I do. Again nothing against Zero 936, it just feels really out of place in this song.
    Got 2 new bands you two may enjoy. Infected Rain has 2 songs with really awesome music videos to pick from: Fighter or Postmortem Part 1. The second band is SETYØURSAILS with their song and music video for Ghosts (feat. Rudi Schwarzer). Rudi is the harsh vocalist from Annisokay and it's pretty cool to see him as a feature.

  • @jordanroberts1519
    @jordanroberts1519 Před 2 lety +2

    Agree with Nathan on the rapper. He was borderline mumblerap. Unnecessary cursing too. If you are going to curse, punch it. Don't mumble it, you taint. Thankfully the rest of the song was great!!!

  • @shannonconner6602
    @shannonconner6602 Před 2 lety

    I agree with Nath, it didn't really fit the song. It took away from how heavy and strong it was. The pace was thrown off.
    That's coming from someone who loves both WCAR and Zero but I'd say it's cool they collaborated but idk if this was the right choice.

  • @Rachelx_x
