I think the reason they avoided having the camera in focus for the video is because it serves the emotions of the song. It's about losing someone close to you and the feelings that come along with that. Things would be blurry, confusing, you'd be unable to focus on details and things that you see in front of you, and I believe from an emotional standpoint that's the reason they did that.
Also, the first Architects riff I thought of, just based on the sound was Doomsday. It has a similar structure but not as much of the 'escalation'.
Love you guys, always enjoy your content and being introduced to new music with your great commentary and banter alongside it :)
Thank you 🤘🏽
The blur, I believe, is done to represent the blur of trying to see through tears, and the blur of life in mourning, and the constant reminder that Kyle is gone. And no matter how good life is, you’re always mourning that loss.
Man the songs about Kyle just hit different man. So fuckin good
If this is about Kyle’s death (I think it is), it just makes the entire situation even more heartbreaking. Kyle would be so proud of WCAR.
Johnny: Have you ever overcuddled a child before?
Nath: what?
Dude I love this channel so much 🤣🤣🤣
The home of “speak before you think”
11/10 outro again boys!
I'm sure heaps of people have said this already, but the boys in WCAR typically do not focus on themselves in film clips when the songs are about the late clean vocalist Kyle. It's their way of not taking the stage that usually would have been for him were he still here. Hurts man. Been a fan of WCAR since their first album way back, I'd say one of the more impactful deaths of an artist in my life. The most impactful being Chester of Linkin Park, as LP was my first band and I still have my first album I bought with my dad when Hybrid Theory dropped when I was about 7 years old. Now I'm 28 so when Chester left us, that hurt me, still does. I was actually listening to a new album by Wage War and my dad texted me saying "they haven't confirmed it yet, but allegedly Chester B passed, the early reports are saying it's a suicide. Really sad day if it's true" because we didn't have confirmation yet. I was laying in bed on a day off(which was rare) and staring at my ceiling and just felt waves of sadness wash over me and the tears just rolled out of my eyes. RIP Chester, and Kyle miss you guys.
Really dug how you guys talked about lyrics in this reaction. I love talking about lyrics and what they mean to each person individually.. air drums still going strong 💪🏽 Yeah the boys.. Keep it up!
Literally deep diving lyrics is one of my favorite things about music
Absolutely love the song after a few listens banger
This is probably the best release from the new record. It sounds so good and is very emotional. Definitely my favorite song.
Riff reminds me of Doomsday by Architects!
WCAR x Beartooth would be sick
The ending to this video was golden!
The song is pretty good too
0740 we fucking love you forever Kyle
Great video as always legends!
🤘🏽🤘🏽
These types of music videos have been prominent with Sharptone records this year. Miss May I, WCAR, Currents all have this style video in the last few months
Won’t lie, I was multitasking so I didn’t see much of the clip, but loved the song. Looks like I need to listen to these guys more. They had some great stuff when I used to listen to them.
i was with you on the out of focus/blurry vision take at first but I assume its to have the listener also "see through tear filled eyes" just like the lyrics. That makes it all that much cooler and a really nice touch so im with it
reminds me of the 'doomsday' riff from Architects
You get that a lot with modern metalcore, and I'm not mad about it really! It's a sick riff
“Andrew Smith” That includes more reasons why Holy Hell is a classic start to finish
@@lukepattison61 Hell yes it is!
😋 Great one lads!!!!
Yeah 100% agree with too much going on. Took me 3 or 4 replays shuffling through my playlist to really get the impact of the intricacies
Should check out Scratching at the Surface by 2 Shadows. Epic song!
Also good call out on the ERRA/Architects riff. I heard ERRA first but I think that’s insanely similar to Nihilist? I think it is?
Monster Truck - Get My Things & Go
the riff for the pre and post chorus sounds similar to wage war's 'if tomorrow never comes'
Can you check out Crooked Royals? Their last 2 singles are legit.
baaaaaaaaaanshee
Yo boys, I know you’ve checked out Vatican before, but I would love to see your reaction to their song “Reverence”. A bit of a different direction compared to the song you’ve checked out on the channel. Cheers!
I thought this is a Cory Wong song when I saw the title hahahaha
y'all sleeping on Glass Hands by Crooked Royals!
Wondering if you guys could do a reaction for the song the perfect crime by terra. It's like prog punk, female fronted and quite interesting/unique/good. If not still worth a listen guys.
Can we do reaction requests in the comments? I'd love to see your reaction to the wholesome calming song, The Elephant Man In The Room by The Callous Daoboys.
You can indeed
My favourite Single so far.
Yeah I wasn’t feeling the film clip at all, it was so fast and chaotic where if they had a more slow and meaningful clip it would’ve made the song hit more emotionally
I recommend you guys reacting to the song and film clip to glass hands by Crooked royals 🤙🏼
This one reminds me of both Linkin Park and Caskets 🤘
And most important, old WCAR!
“Nathan Smith” Funny because WCAR and Caskets are signed to SharpTone. In all seriousness and I might be wrong for that opinion, both bands were influenced by Linkin Park
Please turn the vocals down on your mics a bit ( your voices are to loud) and turn the music volume up on the music clips 🤘
React to palaye royale fever dream
You have 66.6k subs, a glorious number!
