Really appreciate this being put out for free. Stream is looking great and always enjoy Loz commentating. Hopefully other comps look to Rogue and the Arnolds and take notes for how a live stream should be done
WSM I'm looking your direction.
@@bmstylee I'm sure they care about your opinion. How about you front up all the money the worldwide networks do for exclusivity in their country over a polished, post-produced TV show for the 200m+ viewers worldwide? Those networks wouldn't even sniff at the Arnold and it's sub-1million viewership. They are utterly different products.
@@chrishood2883 where are you getting the 200m+ viewers from? world's stronget man was televised to cbs sports network which from a quick google search around 60 million households are able to receive. that basically means only a fraction of those 60 million actually watched it. furthermore it was televised as a weekly show on wednesday and thursday... seems more like a schedule filler, a lot different to this stream where people actively want to watch it. it is a different product but i do think it could be a feasable option.
the giants live event for example got streamed and televised

thnx!
Well done sir
42:00 Novikov was dead serious when he said this event is going to be mine. What a performance 👍
That is what we call peak performance.
I thought 3 was crazy for a 275lb dumbell but then this guy did 7 and managed to sip a drink of water mid set
Kearney straight killing it. Putting in the work and his game has increased massively. Very impressed.
Great to see him at the top of his game in his two best events. Wish he didn’t have the tricep blowout, cause the max log would be another top 2/3 performance. Nice to see Rob at the top of the leader board as the log might be mid pack at best and he couldn’t move the frame without straps due to the small hands. The stone to shoulder will be interesting without Mateusz and people being more aware and preparing for it better.
I remember him being pretty good but now he is top tier.
@@sarethums he has always been a top tier guy in anything that his height and hand size don’t hurt him in.
Yeah. I'm very surprised how much better he's gotten.
Given his size I never thought he'd be top tier
Sure you don't just like that hair style?
Kearney 's form was flawless. Amazing when you realize he doesn't weigh much more than the dumbbell.
I want Loz to do all of the strongman commenting from now on. He’s so engaging and knowledgeable.
Yes, specially after all the goodies in his YT channel (the homework which goes to making them and all Strongman interviews)... Not to forget the support from Liz. Loz is definitely the best Strongman commentator in the World right now.
However the voice of the other two are also iconic and signature for ASC and Rogue.
Novikov is just a beast on the dumbell, i´m rooting for him and Martins! Rob is shuting every unworthy person that said he wasn´t Arnold´s material too
rob is just insane! so light an still so strong
I mean I am pretty sure nobody thought he isnt the best at this event. East europeans do something right, especially if its about dumbells
Well said. He was a true Cyborg yesterday! And I'm sure he made Putin beta yesterday after his alpha performance: not only the DB, but with 3 good squats with that final 906 (411) PR.
I've always been impressed with his strength to weight ratio he's very very strong
Crazy flex by Novikov by taking a water break in the middle of a timed event.
Power move almost lol did seem to give his muscles a quick boost though
Did not expect such an incredible performance from Kearney, that was awesome. But, Novikov is really second to none. Even brought a smile out of him.
Thank you Rogue Fitness for the strongman shows and the free live streams. They are much appreciated. However, having said that, I have a beef with the rules of the Arnold's Strongman Show scoring system. I don't think that athletes who fail to complete even one rep, or fail to complete any requirement of the feat of strength that is needed to register any level completion, should get ANY score for that event. This is the way that "World's Strongest Man" keeps score on "no lift" events. To illustrate why and how it's unfair, take a look at today's events. On the max squat, Luke Stoltman came in last and thus only got 1 point. Still, he succeeded in squatting 816 lbs to earn that 1 point. Actually, had he used better tactics, I'm confident that he would have squatted 890-900 lbs successfully, and would have got a couple more points to his score. Anyway, so in the dumbbell press, he successfully pressed three reps and tied for 3rd place. (Btw, Martins did NOT successfully complete his 3rd rep....Odd Haugen was being generous to him. Martins should have had 2 reps scored and came in 4th) The 4 guys who failed to complete even one rep still all got 2.5 points each(the avg. of the bottom 4 slots.) Unfortunately, this causes Bobby to be scored above Luke, when Bobby had no successful dumbbell lifts, and Luke would be above him had they registered zero points. And JF would be just 2 pts above him in score, instead of 4.5. Now say that if Maxime had done two reps, then JF, Tom, Bobby, and Trey each got one rep, THEN it would be FAIR to give them the 2.5 points each. Just the fact that they got to have the exact same amount of points awarded for doing no successful lifts is the self-evident proof of it's inherent unfairness. Anyway, that's my feelings on the matter.
I agree with you, a no rep on an event should mean no points not the average lowest score
Hugely agree here.
No lift is a no lift.
Even a 275lbs squat should earn more points than a 0 lbs dumbell press
Totally agreed. Martins’s third “rep” wasn’t good (nothing against him, rules are simply rules), and if you zero out on an event, you should not get any points.
100% Arnold's way of In strongman rules it's like a power lifting contest with a bit of strongman thrown in I don't rate it as a strongman competition but good to see the guys doing stuff a little differently
Agreed.
Oleksii was the 6th guy to go and he did the same # of reps as everyone else combined
Let’s go Oleksii 🇺🇦
Very impressive show by Novikov. That's crazy!
Rob Kearney take a bow, whatever the outcome of tomorrow he's proven his place today at the top tier of strongman
At 100lbs lighter than some of the guys as well
Thanks for bringing this live and free for us, Rogue Fitness. WSM/GL should learn one thing or two, haha.
Rogue, top marks for streaming this. I've just ordered a shirt as a thank you. 😊
Novikov is gonna crush this
Oleksii basically said this event is mine, y’all are competing for second.
Pretty much like caron in squats, except novikov performed good in squats as well.
@@adityavikram244 well some guys have technique problems, novikov really knows how to do it. They should all learn from him
@@seife41 I'd say licis has a better form in everything but novikov has really perfected the single arm dumbell. Also, lifting the dumbell like novikov requires some sort of flexibility which I believe many of the athletes here lack, especially caron.
This event is like a single handed clean and press, and like weightlifting, technique is everything. Novikov has it: the vertical path, the feet adjustment as he presses, pulling himself under the dumbbell. Champ.
Rogue, good job putting this up to watch for free! Appreciate the move to make watching this more accessible.
If only Mateusz was in this. Ugh
Why did the zero-reppers get points in the dumbbell?
Loved every single second!!👍
Love big Loz on the commentary.
275 was once a world record weight. Now it's the standard. What has happened in this sport, the set bar has reached the stratosphere.
Thank you for the stream!!! Excellent show
This is when a showdown between Mateusz and novikov would have been legendary. Both are incredible dumbbell pressers.
We all need this during these times. thanks
Almost all people in the world are good. We will save the world from this evil.
Thank you again for the quick content for the fans to enjoy.
Thank-you to Rogue for putting this online for free.
It was awesome in person
Not really sure Odd Haugen being the ref on dumbbell is fair given his closeness to Licis.... And that 3rd rep? Hmmmm
I continue to be amazed by Rob Kearney. Outstanding performance!
Great to see Novikov performing well. His best squat ever and then a dominant display of technique and power in the circus dumbbell.
Jesus, Rob with the almost body weight db overhead for 4
What I would give to have seen Mateusz do this event
Im surprised by Novikov, I didnt think he would be mentally ready for competition, and here he is, proving me wrong! He did absolutely amazing in the squat, I didnt believe he would outsquats the Stoltmans, and his dumbbell is just perfection. Looking forward to day 2, I think it will be between Martins and Novikov!
Moreover, he is proving what many, including I have been saying, that strongmen would benefit from utilizing more of a weightlifting technique, a jerk instead of a push press on overhead events. They could put up much more weights.
Love streaming strongman events is the way to go. Wish worlds strongest would figure this out. Thank you everyone at the Arnold classic
Great job Rob! 💪😤👍
This was a good one!!
Thank you Rogue!
What a performance Novikov!
Rob could legitimately win. With a log still to come, and a decent showing in the other two events. Martins probably pulls out the win in the frame, but it could be anybody in the stone to shoulder without Mateusz
Idk. The stone to shoulder and the frame carry aren't good events for him based on past performances. Let's see, though.
@@AlexJones0316 has he ever done stone to shoulder in competition? I haven’t seen it.
I don't think that should be the biggest concern. Rob did ok with the stone medley a little while back, but I've seen him struggle to move real heavy frames. I can see him coming in last on that event.
Rob’s log hasn’t been the same ever since he had his tricep injury.
Novikov on dumbbell--beautiful to watch!
They should really study Novikovs technique, dude barely lifts with his arm at all, just pushes his body down to straighten his arm and then lifts with his entire body.
Yea its just pure technique init
Novikov, wow! Excellent showing from all. I hope J.F can recuperate.
Rob is a beast
Thanks 🤗♥️🤗😄
This was a perfect day one for Kearney, but the day one events were near perfect for him, aside from a yoke for speed for the dumbbell. The Timber Carry and Stone To Shoulder will prove consistency across the board.
Hopefully JF's shoulder can hold up for day 2. He'll need them for two more events, the Log and STS. Sucks when he's on form to at least get high podium, he gets a minor problem.
Novikov will be consistently good for the last 3 events. Martins as well. Something's wrong with Trey, both good events for him and he nearly bottoms out both of them. Stoltman's are both doing worse than I thought. I don't think either will scratch podium. Maxime being the quiet middle ground as usual. I think even with Kearney's day one performance, it's Martins's to lose. I think it'll be between Novikov and Martins because both are gonna do about the same for the last 3 events.

Feel sorry for Mateusz he had to withdraw from Arnold’s two days before due to an injury
yaa
I haven't seen the other event. Was it a tricep again?
@@bmstylee heard it was a hip injury. From worlds strongest fan.
@@garrettjohnson907 I'm afraid he is going to end up being one of the best competitors to not win the Arnold or WSM due to being injury plagued. He is a freak athlete but seems very fragile.
@@bmstylee hip injury
Odd was generous on Martins’ 3rd rep
Also on Novikovs 4th, you could see he wasn't stable and started to fall backward.
ASC makes it available for everyone to see, has top notch refreeing and implements. WSM can learn from this.
Novikov is such a strong dude
Not to be a hater or anything but that last rep from Licis wasn't it
Thank you for being streamer

@@a-a-rondavis9438 why?
If Rob manage to do a 1 out of 3 events with a good performance (log most likely) he must clinch a spot on the podium, a well deserved one if you ask me.
CMON JF GET THE OVERALL WIN
Unbelievable. At 65, I'm just learning to deadlift. So far, 275 has been my 1RM. These guys are pressing it overhead, multiple times WITH ONE HAND!! I give up....
DONT GIVE UP! That's amazing for 65! Most 65 yo I know struggle to get around!
That bro nov is a beast. Love him. My new mariz
Mateusz would have done 10 reps. With his right hand. And 5 with his left.
25:10 for introducing the event and standings from the previous event.
LETS GO OLEKSII!!
A bit of perspective. At 275lbs the average gym bro can't squat, bench, or deadlift that weight and these guys just toss it around like it's nothing.
I wouldn't say they're effortlessly tossing around 275lbs...
You can clearly see them struggling to push press that weight for even a few reps, and they're only able to do so because of their sheer size.
It's an extremely heavy weight to lift overhead with one arm as well as very dangerous.
275 isn't that huge to deadlift, or squat even. Lifting it with a single arm is utterly ridiculous though, from a normal human's perspective.
Everyone expecting Martins and Tom to be battling for the title but solid performance from novikov and he's also good at the day 2 events. Can see Kearney maintaining a solid position too. Don't see the Stoltman's dragging themselves out the bottom half - such a bad show from Luke with the squat. Shame for JF. Hard to tell if it was bad form that caused the shoulder injury there or if it was an existing issue - looked like bad form and something went.
Novikov is an absolute artist of lifting!
Too bad about Caron's shoulder. Would've been fun to see a few reps from him too. Also, BLOODY HELL Kerney is on a roll.
Im so impressed by Kearney. How awesome does he feel today!?
Licis never locked out on the third rep ,
event start at 27:07
Big up big loz!!
What's the name of the music in between sets??
Martin's last dumbell press wasn't that good but... Odd Haugen his spiritual father
✊💛💙
Tom needs to up his static strength .carrying weight in medleys and stones hes as good as it gets ,maybe the best ever but he lacks the sturdy thickness of a prime Big Z or Eddie for the max stuff ,i know hes 100lbs heavier than when he started and to say this about a 380lb man is crazy but he still looks a little flimsy and delicate 😂😂 and Rob is legit super impressive and considering his size and frame even more so
His deadlift and log are still improving, it's just that many Strongmen don't focus so much on heavy squats, and it hinders the taller guys moreso. Tom's just not gonna be a great squatter. For example, Evan Singleton doesn't like squats, and thus isn't as good as he could be.
17:10 what's the name of that tune?
Shocked about Boudreault.. Overhead press is typically one of his greatest events.. The quality of Arnold's suffered in this one without Thor, Shaw, zydrunas, and now injured Mateuz and Caron..
amazing strength.......yes technique and legs etc....but very few human beings as we see...can do this...
Really good to see Thor here great choice to represent.... and the child hall is nowhere to be seen ..... let’s keep this trend 💪💪💪💪
What's Kirney's nickname?
When is ESPN, CBS, or a big sports network gonna finally pick this up?!
Oleksii Novikov is the best strongman in the world ever #nowarukraine🇺🇦
Bullshit
He is definitely one of the best. He has by far the best technique of any Strongman. I hope he wins!
Odd Haugen, Martins' friend, shouldn't have given him that third rep. We'll see if it affects the final standings.
Man, would love to see Kearney or Caron win this.
Typed that comment before I watched Caron lift. Unfortunate.
1st here? Great event! Let's workout!
No
kearney impressive asf
2.5 pts for not getting any reps is so stupid.
Novikov will win this for his Country watch
rob kearney is NOT playing around!!!
I lifted for biceps🦾 145 kg. Can you?
probably the heaviest event there is. I mean, lifting a dumbell with rediculous wide handles that weighs more than a stove overhead ... Meanwhile Novikov is handling it like a toy.
25:41 when it actually starts
I wish Brian was in this event because him and Oleksii are the best dumbbell lifters in the world I believe. Brian beat him by one at world strongest man 2020.. after Arnold made fun of peoples freedom I doubt Brian will go to another Arnold’s though. I don’t blame him either
Martins is my favourite strongman but he shouldn't have been given that 3rd rep. Makes it worse that the ref is one of his former coaches.
I disagree to be honest, I think he had it. Maybe his legs gave the impression that he wasn’t stable, but he had control at the top, at least that’s how I see it…
I’ve seen way more leaniant calls for the dumbbell at giants live
That’s what I was saying too but after watching the replay a couple times, there was a brief moment of control.
It was a good rep
Should not of counted
👍
