- Today I went for every Hollow Knight achievement in anticipation for Silksong. And these achievements were tough! To unlock every achievement, I will have to do everything the game has to offer, including embracing myself for not only steel soul mode, but also pantheon 5 for the Embrace the Void achievement, easily one of the hardest in the game. Let's see how I'll fare after I 112% Hollow Knight
Now that I 100%'d Hollow Knight, I'm even more excited for Silksong!

I actually redownloaded it just to try PoP. I was really enjoying it until the very last saws. I would say I beat the other portions of PoP with ease other then the last part. Finished it in 45 minutes!

I've done 7 runs and died to abs rad 3 times. Some people take 50+ attempts so I feel lucky to have been just a few slashes away from completing the game's hardest achievement. Hope I get it soon.

Honestly isn’t too hard to do if you just make sure you can consistently beat every boss before you try it.
@@seabass3818 im at 30ish attempts. gotten radiant on all bosses in the training area, still cant beat pantheon 5. I lose focus and my hands starts shaking when i get to pure vessel.
Radiance is a She.
She is the goddess that was causing all the yellow corruption stuff and the one the Seer was talking about.
Kudos for completing the most difficult challenge.

I got most achievements, beat every boss on ascended (except for markoth and absolute radiance) but the only thing I was missing was beating pantheon 5.
I have a history of bad fails, but by FAR the worst fail I’ve ever had has to have been my pantheon 5 fail right at the end. My first time playing in months, I play pantheon 5 and I make it to absolute radiance. I get to the last phase. I was doing a certain strategy when I fell from my platform due to nerves and ended up dying. I didn’t save meaning absrad never unlocked so I could practice it. I’ve never played hollow knight seriously again ever since. I could probably do it, but the sheer amount of time and skill it would take for me to do it again would be too much for a game I don’t care about anymore.
A similar thing happened in Celeste, I was doing chapter 7 deathless but I ended up dying at flag 4 and that death basically sent me into a downward spiral that would make me quit the game due to not having motivation and being burnt out.
Same almost happened for geometry dash twice, I died at the end of thanatophobia from 51%, which is the biggest fluke I’ve probably ever done ever, but I ended up not playing the game for about 1 year before coming back and beating thanatophobia. I also died at 88% on acu but for some reason I just don’t feel like playing it anymore. I don’t want to beat acu because too many people have done that for a first extreme but at the same time I’ve only beaten a single insane demon and 4 hard demons so acu would be quite a jump.
So basically moral of the story is don’t die like ever

I got this game for free on my PS plus and put it in the library and forgot about it until the 2nd one got announce which sprouted my curiosity, so I installed and play it now is one of my favorites I stared playing it around 8pm only to notice once I stop playing it was already 4am, if it made my time flew and if it did this, then it is good to me

Congratulations, I remember taking around 5 attempts with Pantheon of Hallownest although with lots of training. Right now i'm doing All Bindings and while it is fun, sometimes i really want to cry because it feels like you have to do hitless

P5 is the one thing I’ve never been able to do, I’ve tried so many times, like my third try I made it to absarad, but since then I’ve never even made it it to p4.
It took me hours of practicing bosses that I was uncomfortable with outside of the pantheon. Give it a few more times, what kept me going was that I made it there once I can definitely make it there again :)

I’m still Grinding the ascended bosses just to get practice to get through it. In my last play through I got to the Nughtmare King and maybe got one clean hit before he got me, apparently there’s only 2 bosses left after Grimm? Sad thing is I’m doing this just to get to absolute radiance where I can hopefully get them in one try, but I’m realistic about that…
If you’re grinding ascended then you definitely got this Joshua! The only thing for practice technically ascended is way faster so when you do p5 you’re going to be used to ascended speed which may mess you up. I have faith!

That room with all the explosives. I died so many times the first time I explored it.
And the speedrun of pantheon 5 with all bindings - No hit was completed just few months ago.
All bindings as:
Max. 1/3 soul - a spell cast
Nerfed nail dmg.
Max. of 4 masks.
No charms.
With all bindings and do it hitless.
Not getting hit a single time.
Was not a fan of the explosive room lol. I also seen that, was very cool to see someone play with such perfection
I remember when I did speedrun of the 112% under 5 hours on steelmode, still the proudest achivement in this game
I like how different the perceptions of what's difficult are. Radiance and AbsRad were incredibly hard for me. NKG and PV were pretty much my comfort split in p5, but Zote and Markoth were my run killers. Also White Defender really messed me up
I think that is what makes HK so interesting is that somebody can have an easy time on one boss and someone can struggle on the same boss. I think Radiance I got extremely lucky for, cause AbsRad DESTROYED me. Surprisingly PV didn't end my run at all but I struggled on PV all the times I practiced him.
As a person who also beat the pantheon of hollow nest, good job!

The NKG fight is so rewarding, probably my favorite boss in all of gaming.
20:40 the mantis lord is technically a different boss. These are the sisters. But I generally agree at the fight is when you start feeling the flow of the game and how epic it is.

Nicely done on beating this dude! I originally cheated to get the embrace the void cheev, but someone inspired me to get it legit after seeing a video. I deleted the old achievement and went ahead and got it the hard way. Took me 5 attempts to do it. I had to both do all 16 bindings and leave Zote dead to do it too. Even for someone skilled like me, this is a bit much. It's satisfying to complete definitely, but PoH is flawedly implemented.
The White Palace and Path of Pain I had a moderate time dealing with. It's challenging yes, but with experience with Super Meat Boy I got by them alot easier than others lol.
21:16 Sums up Elder Hu perfectly well! He's by far the most forgettable of the Warrior Dreams.
21:31 Ditto, these guys are surprisingly agile for their thick frames. They swing their nails faster than you would expect.
21:34 Don't mind Uumuu as others, but it's a real pain in the ass to save lifeblood masks for later thanks to RNG.
Must of been real satisfying to get it after giving up on it, congrats! It was a definite challenge for sure, so much at stake when you get near towards the end

Having the lifeblood cocoons is the one of two times I think Lifeblood is useful. Even if having them is mostly for the last 7 fights. GPZ is also unpredictable enough that I made myself redo all the bindings just so I didn't have to fight him again, it makes no sense why Failed Champion is after him and Markoth and not before lmao. Making Absolute Radiance an endurance type boss in a boss rush that's also an endurance test is flawed game design in my book. Although you did have a good strategy for the last phase of AR, nail bounce off her at the top of the screen because the orbs of death vanish once it fully leaves the screen. I would've probably beaten her on the third or fourth attempts had I known that lol.

I once did the Joni's repose dark room without lantern, though it took me quite a long time to figure out. Lantern is basically required. One day, I may attempt that dark room in deepnest. That will suck.

To answer your opening question, yes, multiple times but the one that comes to mind is Bioshock. I thought it was gonna be really scary and it put me off because I'm a baby but years later i tried it again and i ended up loving it
I'm still holding off of Bioshock, but it's apparently one of the greats so I should get to it soon haha
@@uTobias for sure BUUUUT on steam I had no issues with the achievements... fast forward 2 years and I had multiple achievements glitch on me, idk if I was just super unlucky but fair warning ⚠️ Experiencing something less drastic in Bioshock 2 but some achievements aren't popping first time etc. If you don't care though I'd recommend playing it on steam, however I'm assuming you want that juicy gamerscore, could be wrong (:

4 attempts, but after training each boss in the hall. there is no point doing 30 minute attempts to practice a boss that kills you in 20 seconds. I did the attempts only to unlock them and trained. Also I believe having a defensive build is essential. I could heal 2 life while moving allowing me essentially to always heal during some of the harder boss fights (Grim or Pure vessel).
I beated p5 three month ago, and now i’m trying to get all of the bidings on p5…it’s been 3 month, and i only done the nail biding…it’s gonna take a loong time

my friend wanted me to help him to do platinum hollow knight in 1 month. If I play with shareplay, everything laggs and I cant poggo correctly for skips. REMEMBER THAT I NEED TO DEFEAT TRIAL OF THE FOOL AND THE EMBRACE THE VOID AHHH
I got to the end of pantheon 5 and died. I knew I would die but it still hurt.

I really think they should have made Sisters of Battle have a shared health bar, and when that health bar is depleted you get to land a finishing blow on each of them. I also think they should have called white defender The White Knight Ogrim.
Would of definitely been interesting if it was like that. Also, why Ogrim?

The only complain I have about the 5th pantheon is the inclusion of uumuu and the dream warriors, not only they are cheap, boring and gimmicky but they outright kill your momentum.

a couple of notes on charm choices:
grubsong is not a great charm because it falls into the category of "just dont get hit lol"
quick focus is ok but it does not compare to the sheer amount of dps you lose out on for not using shaman stone for the same notch cost.
i personally really like steady body because of how much it helps in a couple of boss fights but it's mostly a crutch.
a lot of people really like dream wielder, but i can never efficiently make use of the faster dream nail.
nailmaster's glory is also a very ok charm, just because a couple of fights really benefit from it, but it's not great since nail arts reduce the amount of soul you get.
quickslash is an insane charm that works with every thing you could do, for both getting more soul and dealing more nail damage
strength is very good because it is more damage
edit: also the reason your runs took SO long is because of the lack of shaman stone, it's insane how much that charm increases your damage output
also worth noting is how unclear the game is about what the dream nail actually does considering he didnt even know hitting enemies with it gave soul
I was definitely considering the Shaman Stone but I just went with Quick Focus + Grubsong as a crutch, personally cause my play style is very aggressive and I take a lot of damage, so any mistake I made could be somewhat helped with those. Perspectively speaking, after I was done and rewatching my runs that I did, those two saved my first couple runs in beginning but did not help towards my last runs at all and I should’ve switched out to other stuff like Shaman Stone. I didn’t realize how busted that charm is!
@@OcaenNam The thing is you have to relearn all the fights without quick focus because there are way less windows to heal. In the end its more of a time sink

Nice! Though I don’t recall seeing you use the Howling Wraiths/Abyss Shriek ability much/at all. If you use shaman stone and get all 4 hits on the enemy you’re talking 120 damage with it being 30 per hit, that being said, it’s 20 damage per hit unmodified. Considering how many enemies you sit under and can hit, you definitely opted to make it harder for yourself by not using it 😂😂

As someone who have done all achievements for Hollow Knight on Steam, I can tell you that there is one quality that will save your sanity: Patience.
I started playing Hollow Knight 2 years ago and this achievement was my end goal. I knew it is going to be hard so i have put myself beforehand to do all bindings on first 4 pantheons and after all that I got on FIRST TRY to Absolute Radinace (i was stock on P4 mask binding for long time and at the end i managed to no-hit Pure vessel every time after I passed it and this helps you A LOT). After that it was just practise on Absolute Radiance in Hall of Gods until i can constantly beat it on base difficulty. Next time I needed to do entire P5 4 times (and i was always dying on Radiance) after I FINALY BEAT HER. So people, take as much time as you can for other achievements and do everything that could help in P5 and if you want what is the real feeling of fighting in P5 and finishing all the achievements, just watch the masterpiece that is - "Pantheon of Hallownest vs one shitpost" by Albin Strid

For me it was actually really easy because I had atleast 200 hours of play time making it really easy 😌
