- This was one of my first National TV appearances when I was a member of The Harlem Globetrotters. One of my favourite interviews I've ever done, and gives a light hearted insight to my height.

@Will Smith Obviously 6'8" is tall, but in comparison to someone who is 7'8" it really isn't. A man of 6'8" would barely stand past Paul's shoulder. A foot difference in height is huge.

Lets put this into perspective. The tallest doctor is around 6'4" to 6'5". Tiny is 7'7" to 7'8" so roughly 14"-16" difference. Robert Wadlow was verified at 8"11" before he died so roughly 15"-16" difference between Wadlow and Sturgess so Wadlow would make Sturgess look like the doctor. !! MAN THAT IS TALL !!
he didn't even die from his 8'11 stature, but rather an infection that no doctor wanted to treat 😭
i think he could have easily hit 9'4

Stork is about 6’4” (193 cm) which is about 6 to 7 inches above the average male height. So yes he’s pretty tall, that’s almost two inches taller than me (6' 2½"), and about how tall my grandfather was.

I was less than 5’6 through high school and now I’m 5’7-5’8. Y’all are some big boys but I just wanted to say, I was surprised I kept growing until I was 21. Never hit a “growth spurt”. Just grew 1-2 inches every year. Only wish I was this height so I was a little bigger for sports earlier on so I could get a scholarship. Edit: I’m bout the same height as Goku heheh. 6’5 man, that’s tall enough. You probs wouldn’t wanna be any taller, my homies have a hard time with cars and cloths that are your height.

@@kevinaviles6462 All just genes buddy. look at your dad and mom, and usually you'll get your answer. I was about your height at that age but I was a late bloomer. You'll probably grow at least another inch or two. So don't worry too much.

The craziest thing about this… there’s nothing medical causing this. Nothing wrong with him at all. Most people that tall have some sort of disorder, but they did tests on Sturgess when he was younger and it’s just genetics. He’s simply very tall.
That's. why he can do sports and other things ,the most of that height with a disorder are disabled and have difficulties to walk.

is true what the doc said that at his height people might have weak leg bones to be able to walk or jump but this guy is a living person that can manage and control his body very well and is healthy

0:16 that's not necessarily true just from personal experience. Being 6'9 myself, I actually never had a growth spurt growing up. I was always gradual, growing at most two inches in a year.

His type of giantism is genetic, which is the really good type. There's also the pituitary gland giantism. That's the bad one. They die early in life & have tons of health problems because of the out of control growth that won't stop (i.e. Robert Wadlow, Sandy Allen, & Dolores Pullard).
well robert wadlow died of an infection that no doctor wanted to treat, it hurts my soul that he didn't live two months to be the first and last 9" human 😭😭

My mom is 173cm and my father is 174 cm. I'm 204 cm. But all my uncles are around 190. So it's actually genetic and also nutritional factored
Nah it’s genetics. Maybe some of your ancestor was around your height and got the height from them. I was very nourished as a child and I ended up only 3cm taller than my dad

I've actually never had a 3-4 inch growth spurt. They've only been 1 or 2 and I didnt grow from 7-9th grade.
I grew up to I was 20 years old. I was 6'0 when I was 18. By the time I was 20 , I was 6'4.

I’m not abnormally tall. I’m 6’1. My dad is 6’3. My mom is 5’2 maybe. I have few family members that are about 6’6. Tallest person I’ve met was Tyler Mane - played Sabertooth in X-men, Micheal Myers in Halloween movies. He’s 6’9 I think. Still toward over me
My freshman year of high school I was around 5’4 and in my photography class we had a senior named Chris Conway who was 6’10, he towered me.
