Paul Sturgess is a total legend. Really lovely guy... he does primary school motivational visits around the UK.
His football career has sort of dribbled away with him playing very little with Stoke but he could have a great career as a TV personality. He's just brilliant, so entertaining
Firstly he's played almost every game for Stoke this season, even if it's cameos off the bench, also he's 37, his career has hardly dribbled away he's just old now

Being a pretty tall person myself (6ft5) it's always a strange experience to meet someone taller than you, because you spend most of your life having people talk about your exceptional height and then in one moment you're made to feel small.
Me and my whole school met Paul sturgess he came to train each year group for the whole day he is awesome and he gives great advice and support

Loughborough lad. My mum was a good friend to his dad AND we both went to the same school. I used to love looking at his school year photo; he towered above everyone else. Good ol' Tall Paul.
i saw paul play with the harlem globetrotters in 2013 at the motorpoint arena in cardiff. all the players notoriously have their own nicknames, paul's was "tiny". after the game, the players line up toward the exit to sign merch and take photos. i was about 5'11" at the time and quite a bit taller than the kids around me so i didn't want to push to the front for a photo and to get my basketball signed. i think paul must have noticed this though because he reached over like 9 kids, took the basketball off me with one hand like i was passing him a tennis ball, signed it then passed it back to me. they all seemed like great guys but i won't forget that moment.
One of the strangest, and funniest, things I ever saw on a football pitch was an England match a few years back.
Crouch was coming on as a part of a double sub. Officially the tallest player in English Premiership football at that time.

@@aidanfeeney4894 yes 6’5” feels pretty normal, when I was 6’5” I was seeing 6’7” guys all the time and I wanted to be that tall, now I am 6’7” and it’s crazy the difference 2 inches will make when you’re already 6’5”. I feel sort of like a giant even though I still see taller guys all the time like 6’8” to 6’10” range.

He'd be too awkward. Running would probably be a problem. And he probably suffers with joint issues. It's all very well being super tall, but he would be way outside the normal height range limits as determined a long time ago by mother nature, so that's bound to be problematic. Same as super short people.

@@chilled99 yeah, it is indeed above average. But not everyone is average. I'd say I meet a person as tall as me or even taller at least a few times a day. There were always people taller than me in school, in college. Now there's lots of people at work that are taller than me. I don't know how often you going out, but it seems too me that not that often at all, otherwise you'd be "freaking out" way too much.
