I don't like it when these compilations include plays like that. It's 4th and 10 at the end of the game. If they don't get it, its over. QB was just doing everything in his power to make it happen. Didn't matter if he got sacked for 30 yard loss or only gained 5, game was over either way.

Idiot ref. That foul is enforced on 'succeeding spot' which was the point after. Funny how the refs know enough to throw flags for pointless celebrations but not enough to know the actual punishments for them.
@@bigpoppa1234 Usually that kind of penalty is enforced on the kickoff, but the other team actually has a choice. In most cases you'll take it on the kickoff for field position, but since the PAT was more important than the kick in this case, MSU took it there.
@@pronkb000 I read that on a few sites looking for the answer, but I couldn't find any reference in the laws to dead ball fouls like that being anything but "on the succeeding spot". I'm not an expert and didn't spend too much time on it, so I might have read an old version that didn't offer a choice.

2yrs later, but I’ll explain. That was not a punt but a kickoff. On a kickoff, the ball is live and either team can recover and advance. The ball is also still live when it goes in the end zone.
I think on the first play Burrow might have done It on purpose.
