I love Marcille's completely deadpan expression. She's way too used to this stuff by now. And Laios is always hilarious and somehow always chaotic. I think he's what would happen if a golden retriever and chaotic good somehow produced a puppy.
From what I can tell, the monster that was creating the illusions was a Kitsune, hence the many tails. Kitsune do not like dogs since they tend to see through their illusions and disguises, so Laios acting like a dog is what provoked the monster.
You know if Laios was in the One-Piece franchise, he would no doubt eat either the *Munch-Munch Fruit* or a zoan-type devil fruit modeled after a silver wolf or hunting dog.
