Great for Europe, Ford, what about the US? We need a PHEV Cargo Van!!! There is a fantastic huge demand for PHEV cargo vans now, yet no one will supply them to North America. I'm a happy Prius Prime owner that wants more interior volume, and the PHEV RAV4 is not the appropriate answer by a longshot because of its insufficient volume along with numerous other inefficiencies. Chrysler Pacifica PHEV is a little small, please help us Ford!!!!!! I'm surprised Toyota hasn't offered a PHEV cargo van yet. Ford's 2-5 combi seating is for Europe only, when will Ford offer this to North America? Please add PHEV cargo van functionality such as 1) allow the 2nd row of seats (bench seats 3-5) to be completely removed, and easily put back in again each weekend, to use the work week daily driver vehicle as a family weekend vehicle 2a) allow 2nd row seats to be taken out of vehicle, leaned up against outside of van on a clean tarp with DIY padding behind it, so 3 people can sit on it outside for tail gaiting parties with light rain 2b) allow 2nd seat to be cleaned with mid-range pressure from garden hose pressure-cleaning attachment 2c) build the 2nd seat from weather resistant tougher material than front 2 seats and users can put an aftermarket or DIY breathable cushion on it to save wear and tear 2d) or sell an aftermarket waterproof cover for the seat to be used outside in camping situations 2e) sell an entire replacement seat as aftermarket item since it'll wear out sooner, especially when we re-sell it 3) allow integrated sound/heat/vibration insulation on the back cargo sides up to the windows bordering and protecting the batteries, so it also automatically/dually/additionally protects the other cargo inside the van 4) make the floor of the cargo van a flat surface, insulated well for thermal vibration and sound 5) minimum 4 tie down points in the back floor of the cargo, considering thermal breaks, are 6 better, or not needed if 4 are done right? Add two more ceiling tie down points just above the windows to make a minimal narrow temporary two child bunk bed that can be disassembled every morning for more head room 6) Plan for easier to build start points for additional DIY wall insulation capabilities such as DIY spray foam, thermal breaks, or easier to use 2" foam board insulation 7a) Air Conditioning HVAC system that optionally reaches back of cargo van, or can be easily switched off so that it only focuses on front 5 passengers, or that back seat is switched off so that it only focuses on 2 front passengers 7b) Optional punch out for DIY DC fan in optimized location for best cross-air flow that can run independent of vehicle HVAC system for use car camping to dehumidify air QUICKLY, and use fresh air only on mild days or evenings to save HVAC costs or tell us that you have adequately provided such an amazing HVAC system that a MaxAir fan is not necessary anymore hurrah 8) Rear doors that safely accommodate a good sturdy 2-4 bicycle rack WITHOUT having to install a hitch bicycle rack 9) Options to help car camping such as low profile strong attachment points (removable while driving) for portable solar panel's 4 corner grommets such as tucked in near windshield wiper attachment points and at front of roof rack above windshield, so that portable foldable solar panels can span the windshield, or hang down the front engine hood to attach below the front bumper 10) sturdy thin basic generic FLAT (1/16" - 1/8") x (18"-30") x (60"-80") metal perforated platforms to be bolted to roof rack AFTER vehicle is parked, that nest and pack away inside vehicle for travel, perhaps integrating attached to 2nd seat 3 seater while moving, that can be bolted to top of roof rack as PLATFORM only when stationary accommodate any old off the shelf, already owned 2 person stakeless tent but instead the generic tent loops clip into the metal platforms at generic points. Make a slide out lightweight extension beam from roof rack, only for use when parked, to overextend roof rack out over front windshield, supported by tie ins tucked in down by windshield wiper attachments, to act as supports for various items such as shade for vehicle from a teardrop pop up, or portable solar panels, or an advertising sign for business while parked, a sturdy support in wind 9b) make an aftermarket airfoil scoop to perfectly fit roof to roof rack 10) from extend roof rack sides with optional metal platforms that fold out or bolt on either side of 2 main roof rack platforms, so that any generic 3.5 person backpacking tent can be put on roof platform, again stowed with the other metal platforms flat along 2nd row 3-seater, with supporting legs that extend down to ground on angle to rest next to each respective tire for support e.g. such as each leg base stabilized by thick bungy strap around bottom of each tire with quick release to pack up quickly and leave 11) sturdy connection points underneath the cargo van, outside, for tie downs and/or cable locks while gone from camp in case wind comes up, for items such as sun-heated water jug for shower water, outdoor bucket toilet, folding chairs, dusty greasy camping stove, outdoor beer coolers meant to stay in shade under vehicle, bicycles locked and wedged under vehicle for wind, kayaks locked and wedged under vehicle for wind, SUPs locked and wedged under vehicle for wind, folded popup teardrop shade structures that partially shade vehicle with suction cup mounts that are always folded away when everybody leaves camp for a hike and stowed under cargo van, because they easily pop up again in a few seconds when one person comes back to camp 12) two sizes of vans, one low roof to compete with Ford Transit PHEV 2024, and one tall roof over 70" tall to stand up in. 13a) Overhead storage above driver that is sturdy enough for an owner to ADD ON TO IT AS A FLAT SUPPORT WITHOUT DEMOLISHING IT for an additional 2 kid minimal bunk, simple, slim, and compact, while main DIY sleeping would be below in cargo portion 13b) two removable screw in mount points in inside of lower side ceiling, just above windows, similar to tow eyes, to support the weight of the aforementioned minimal bunk, that can be removed when not needed 14) ensure the front 2 seats are flat enough for one person to stretch out, to sleep on in emergency if the entire cargo van is full to the brim with unusually large moving load, ensuring a parking brake doesn't poke the middle to ensure a good night's rest. This way one passenger can sleep in the hotel room half the night, and the other passenger can sleep in the vehicle to prevent theft when folks move, trading places halfway through the night, as thieves target very full unoccupied vehicles in hotel parking lots. 15) provide appropriate small dual gas generator mount points under the van, even if it means transporting the small dual gas generator on the roof rack until you get to camp, and installing the gas generator in place underneath the van only after parking in place at camp. It's not necessary to provide the brackets, just the attachment holes. 15b) provide generator 30-50A hook up. 15c) provide shore power hook up. 15c) bidirectional charging.15) solar panels on roof integrated to charge car. These would be different than portable foldable solar panels which most folks I already own and would also use when a shady place to park is available.16a) Provide appropriate roof cable knockouts to allow DIY install of aftermarket security cameras to van, since the technology improves all the time 16b) Provide ample firewall knockouts so we can install our own DIY DC-DC converter to van 17) Provide immediate quick aftermarket manuals so DIY can start immediately instead of waiting 7 years for a good aftermarket book. 18) optionally, not a must, an indentation in the flat floor that can be hidden storage, or can be perfect place for a DIY build for a quick 3 minute indoor shower clean up in an Amazon $14 BINO 14" x 11" x 5" collapsible bin surrounded by a $3 shower curtain that temporarily hangs from 4 magnet hooks on the ceiling, and folds away when not in use. 18) Provide wind, rain, humidity and motion sensors fed to a vehicle phone app for the vehicle with NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE that indicates change indicated by user set thresholds to sleeping occupants with a wake up buzz if a windstorm approaches. If a subscription fee is needed, then provide ample knock outs so we can install this ourselves to avoid the subscription.19) Provide a vehicle phone app so we can adjust the HVAC on our phones while lying in our car camping bed without having to move to front of vehicle to adjust the HVAC. Provide the vehicle phone app with more ODB2 maintenance diagnostics available to read on our vehicle phone app, so we don't have to rely on lost misplaced miscellaneous ODBC scanner components and cables. Provide innovative side attachment points that minimize wind resistance, such as flat aerodynamic screw plugs while driving that can be replaced with larger screw in pegs while camping, to provide shade opportunities that can be attached to vehicle when parked in long term camping, that you can sell as aftermarket opportunities, so that we can buy the tall version cargo van and keep it parked outside our house all days of the year, because it is too tall to fit in our garage, yet still provide shade for it using these attachment points. It could be similar to the existing tow eye so common to many existing cars. These are not outlandish requests. Most of these are appropriate 40 year old concepts that shouldn't be relegated to aftermarket afterthoughts.

At last......I wondered what would become of the Transit Connect when the Tourneo Connect made its debut, alone, in 2021.
