  • Introducing the Sawyer Tap Filter, a new addition to Sawyer’s line of high-performance water filtration systems.
    The Sawyer Tap Filter removes biological contaminants, guaranteeing immediate clean drinking water when you need it most. Great to use when traveling, during boil alerts, or in emergencies when safe drinking water is compromised, the Tap Filter is easy-to-use and will filter to up to 500 gallons of clean drinking water per day.
    It’s the ideal component for use during natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes, fires, and earthquakes. Hitting the road? Consider the Tap Filter your pocket-sized peace of mind for all questionable sources -- campgrounds, festivals, events, in RVs, and when traveling internationally.

    I really like how there is an Adapter to thread onto your other models to make them work similar to the designated one...big upgrade:)

    Love the product and adapters! Looking forward to buying those adopters for my Sawyer squeeze. I didn't see it mentioned but it appears that you are using the same water you are filtering to backwash. Better to filter then backwash with the filtered water right?

    What is the product lifespan of the Tap filter, assuming a gallon is filtered everyday and backwashing is done monthly?

      I have seen multiple websites say it filters up to 100,000 gallons. Sawyer seems to like to cap everything at 100,000 gallons nowadays. It’s not the one million gallons guarantee, but still sufficient for the lifetime of a person.

    Hi. Is it ok to use your water filter products (mini, double threaded, squeeze, tap, etc) with a portable manual water pump or siphon without damaging the filter itself? I understand max pressure for your filters are 20psi. Trying to improvise a durable portable survival filter system vs those pump types commercially available.

    • @SawyerProducts
      @SawyerProducts  Před 3 lety +2

      yes as long as you allow the filter to pop off when excessive pressure is reached

      fluoride is one of the toughest to filter out ann unfortunately the ONLY thing thht can filter iit is an expensive reverse osmosis system....but then you need a system to "'remineralize"' the water, cause RO strips all the "necessary nutrients"' from the water.....
