In the last sequence of:
1) Activate Cloud with Aerith
2) Hold priority
3) Pod Yuffie into Eald'narche
4) Resolve activation
5) Pod Cloud into Alphinaud
What makes the order action abilities of Aerith > Cloud > Cloud necessary or more optimal?
This is what I'm wondering, it doesn't seem like it makes much of difference in the combo.

I always worry, when I post anything off-meta, that some poor new player is going to overinvest in a deck that I don't consider 'good enough' to take to a Materia Cup. Alas, this is one of those times.
Of course, everyone has their own definition of fun, but mine is "not losing Turn 1 to a Brynhildr"...

It's possible, but it doesn't increase the number of turn 1 kills, which is usually my main concern with the deck, especially now that LB Cloud just craps on the "Ramza, Pass Turn" hands.

This reminds me of the Shikaree - Eald'Narche combo. Ever considered adding a Lyse into this for extra damage?
Yeah! I miss those days. The Shikarees were cool, but largely I feel their niche is done better by the Locke/Cid Haze combo decks if you're playing for value, or stuff like this if you're playing for speed.
I've tried Lyse a few times, but feel she's in the worst possible element - there's really not a good Party deck in Earth apart from Avalanche, and they're usually better off spending their tech slots on busted cards like The Demon.
I will cross my fingers for a Scion party deck in the future!
