My Mother joined the NOI in Los Angeles 1966 after Malcolm died when I was 3 years old. We spent some great years there in the late 60s until about 73 when Temple No 27 moved from 56th and Broadway to Santa Barbara, which is now King Blvd and Central Ave. in Los Angeles. I remember Minister Farakhan coming to visit our Temple in the early 70s. I still love that man, though Im no longer a Muslim. In February 1975 at 11 years old, my whole family traveled in an old Buick from L.A. to Chicago to see Messenger Muhammad speak. We were in a hotel room just days before February 26 Saviors day. I will never forget the news flash on the radio that said he had died. We were in disbelief and silence. Shortly after, his son Wallace started to make so many changes that my Mother took us out of the Nation.... But til this day I still have love For Elijah Muhammad, Minister Farakhan and the Muslims. They taught us a lot and really cleaned us up. We ate healthy, with no pork, no alcohol, drugs or any other poisons. Now Im 52 and still trying to stay strong in this crazy world....

He was a strong advocate of separating the races, and even asked the U.S. government for one of these "united" states as a place for black people to live separately from whites. Why are you in such denial? Elijah Muhammad's own son Wallace Muhammad said the exact same thing that Malcolm said about his father. But that is besides the point, I don't have an issue with Mr Muhammad's personal life. My Issues are with his claims and his kufr that he taught. He claimed that he was a muslim and a messenger of Allah, but much of what he taught was against the very foundation of the Islam. The first foundation of the Islamic Aqeedah is Tawhid. The second is the belief in the Life After Death in which every human being must give an account of his or her actions in their lives on this earth. Without these two beliefs you have no Islam, in fact Allah subhanahu watala in Quran refers to these people as kafirun. Many of the people in Arabia during ayaamul-jahilyiah, did not belief in Tawhid or the Life After Day. The Quran addressed these people in many ayahs throughout. The next major issue that I have with Mr Elijah Muhammad is that he claimed to be the Messenger of Allah subhanahu watala (auzubillah), when the Quran clearly states that Prophet Muhammad Ibn Abdullah (salalahu allay hi wa salaam) of 14 centuries ago was khatim nabiin. Also the the Prophet (alayhi salatal-salaam) said that there would no more Messengers or Prophets after him.

After 18 weeks meeting with African leaders, Malcolm flew back to New York at the end of November 1964. He was soon confronted by an issue of the Nation of Islam newspaper, Muhammad Speaks, featuring an attack on him by Minister Louis X (known later as Louis Farrakhan). Louis X wrote:

He tried to get others on his side by calling them, but they refused to go into court for him-to disgrace me after I had worked for 33 years trying to bring the knowledge of Islam and of the God Allah to the 22 million black people here in America.”

Because I did all I could and when the turned back on me I was so surprised, I was all but speechless. But when I thought over it and what He had taught me, then I soon regained my Post and stood up again. And so I don't follow no one down that, you know, turns back on his heels. Now this is the thing when we say Lot and don't follow it up, that don't go for nothing. As the Holy Quran plainly teaches us mere belief counts for nothing unless carried into practice. If one of these captains here say I will take my fruit and I will defend this Temple to the last drop of blood in me. But if we never see him even try to convince someone trying to scandalize the Temple, that you are wrong, brother this is the truth. If he never speaks up then, how can we expect him to go out here and spill some blood? The same. The inherent NATURE or BEHAVIOR of the white man (according to the lessons) to do evil especially to darker people. You obviously haven't read the NOI "Supreme Wisdom Lessons". Those so-called "lessons" explain exactly what was taught to Elijah by his teacher W D Fard and not what you're trying to explain. When referring to the "devil", Elijah was not speaking of literal skin color, but of the "race" of white people. The brown race, the red or yellow race, and the white race are races of people. Malcolm X, Farrakhan, and especially our president, Barack Obama are all of the black race, though their skin color amy be yellow, red, or white. This is because they had white or other non-black relatives somewhere in their immediate family, possibly a parent or grandparent. Nonetheless they are black people. Can you follow the logic here? As far as reforming the devil; to every rule there is an exception. In other words, you can apply an exception to any rule that you create. The "lessons" are a question and answer session between Fard and his student, Elijah Muhammad back in mid 1933 before Fard's sudden and unexplained permanent departure from the NOI circle.
