@@velvet3784 who himself didn't even build beautifully like this. He only built big and used the most boring and ugly version of classicism one can imagine. He started the destruction of German beauty long before the bombs dropped. So people who find classical architecture controversal, don't realize they are more in tradition of the bearded man than they think. Imho, building beautifully like in the old times is a stronger position against the Nazis than building ugly and functional. It's unbelievable how brutally faschist many of the buildings from the 60s and 70s and even later look, despite being built by "modernists".
Sometimes i daydream about what my wonderful country would look like today if that stupid war didn't happen... everything that came after it was a mess (i still like the BRD, i just don't like it's look. Back then there was a sense for beauty, nowadays everything is boring and functional). I love Videos like this! How great it is that photography was invented before the old world ended! We gotta be thankful for that.
Bitte kein Systemwechsel, das bringt mehr Probleme als es löst. Klassische Architektur ist wieder ein bisschen im Kommen, wir müssen nur für den großen Durchbruch sorgen. Sowas wie finanzielle Spenden an Rekonstruktionsprojekte sind weniger aufregend als ein Systemwechsel, aber dafür realistischer und weniger... naja... blutig. Falls es aber doch dazu kommt und das neue Regime einen Architekten für klassische Architektur braucht, meldet euch bei mir!😉

Mit all den klassischen Gebäude und Standbilder sah es aus wie eine alte Römische Stadt. Es WAR einmal den schönste Metropol der Welt!
