- This one was a surprise. I must say that the Springfield completely shocked and blew me away. I wasn't always a fan of the looks, but this one looks great to me. Not only that, I wasn't expecting the amount of power and punch this thing has. If you get a chance to, don't miss an opportunity to ride this!

Its refreshing to someone have such a good time on a test ride.
That's always the mission. If I'm not enjoying it, then I gotta find a way to do so! 👌😎
"Oh Snap" ……. pretty much says it all :) Looks like a sweet ride.
Sharp presentation with a unique perspective!!! You did your research and it was apparent, Thanks !!!
Sure thing 😎
Brandon Bicasso, I love your videos, and I enjoy how much you love Indians. If I bought a cruiser, it would be an Indian because I love that an American company is making modern motorcycles. If I were in the market for a new bike, I would seriously consider an Indian FTR 1200. That Flat Track influence is too cool. As for what I currently ride, it Triumph Tiger 1050. I may restore my bike from high school and college, a Kawasaki S-3 400, a two-stroke triple.
Great vid! Rode my Scout from Utah to California this summer, and am now thinking of getting a bigger bike. Seriously considering this year/model. Even more so after seeing how much fun you had lol
Even better with cams and a 116 😀
@@BrandonBicasso for sure! But it looked like even with a stock 111 you were holding your own with that Cheiftan.
Thanks alot!! I'll be getting one in green with the tan seats!!
Sure thing ❤️
That’s the color combo I want, too.
I just traded my Kawasaki zx14r for the 2019 Springfield Dark Horse. Looking forward to the Indian.
Wow. Big change! The Springfield is a great machine. Enjoy it! 👌😎
Cruiser life Bro 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
that was a pretty nice test loop
Agreed. Demo days there are always pretty good.
Beautiful! Love those Indians! They just get better and better!
My Dream Bike! its weird i wasn't subbed to your channel anymore. I wonder what happened. So i re subbed.
YT on the bull. 😂
Omg! What are you doin to me Bicasso! That matte white with the black Wow! I forgot about that Springfield. Really can't be buying another bike right now lol
There is always room for another bike in the garage :P
It's only paper. You can make more of it. 😂🤓😬😀
@@BrandonBicasso lol that's lots of paper
I much prefer the Springfield Dark Horse in black, over the white.
It's a solid set up for sure. 😎
White is sharp and won’t show the dirt as much! Besides, white is the most visible color on the road !
Great review. That's going to be my next bike. I've been eyeing that bike for a year now.
Nice video. Glad you had the chance to check out the Springfield and liked it. Now you know how much I really enjoy mine. Its a nice ride. the 111 ain't no slouch and is enough for me and a bit cheaper than the 116 but just as punchy. Enjoy and ride safe bro.
Honestly.. the 111 at some points felt faster than the 116. I don't know the physics behind it, but it was A LOT quicker than I thought it was. Apparently, I wasn't the only person at the demo day that thought that either.
Oh yeah... It don't take anything away from the Scout. That Scout is still a beast of its own.
Ohhhh yeah! This with the 116 is on the Hell Yes for sure. As much as I love my Lowrider S, this bike is surely tempting.
Man sooo many killer choices from Indian now with the updated Springfield and the FTR 1200, Harley has just Got to up their game big time.
Excellent video, as always!
Yep, Indian is coming strong and doing it well. Harley is putting up some good prospects as well. I'd love to ride that LiveWire.
I think my wifes Scout is quicker than my Chief but damn I love the feeling of rolling on with all that Thunder Stroke torque.
It's definitely a sensation. I love it.
Scouts the fastest Indian. The whole Indian lineup is pretty good for their roles. Darkhorse Springfield is odd, it looks great, but loses everything the Springfield brings to the table, windshield, highways bars that are standard on a stock Springfield.
@@cembanditx1 Is the Scout faster than the new Challenger? asking for a friend..
@@DFord301 stock vs stock, highly doubt the scout is faster than the Challenger. But I could be wrong
This was great. Personally I don't like fairings on bikes, so this is my jam. I wish it came in an iridescent green/bronze blend. You would look like a pharaoh riding a giant war scarab.
Ah, man a bronze would be insane. 👀 The same color as the Chieftain? Whew... I wouldn't mind one with some hangers.
I went to a local Indian test day last week. I'm a new rider and wanted to try the scout bobber. It's a big difference between the ratty old 125cc from the MSF class and 20 yards on the parking lot made me shift it back to neutral and roll it back to the line. A bit above my head at the moment and I'm enough of an old fart to admit that, which the local crew appreciated. I'd rather look like a dumbass rolling it back in line than launching it and hurting someone. Oh well, maybe next year. :)
Hey, I appreciate you taking your safety seriously. No point in trying to hurt yourself to prove something. When you're ready to ride, the Bobber will be there for you. It's not going anywhere. Get those skills up and keep me posted. 👌
Just went out and bought a semi-new Honda CB500X, which is a little different but it was older yet brand new (ish) and in immaculate condition. I think I got a good deal.
Interesting. It's different, but it's two wheels. How are you liking it so far?
It's still at the seller's. Didn't have the insurance ready yesterday and today we have atrocious weather and I'd prefer not to take it out in the rain the first day. :) It's in awesome shape, recently maintained at a shop, all the usuals were looked after. Soon though!
Ah, very nice! Rain on the first day would've been a bummer, lol.
Oh my. Im not a fan of white usually but that matte white with the matte black is...ufffff
It's straight smacking!
We have very similar tastes sir. That will be a strong contender for me a few miles down the road.
Good riding and vibes is all I see with this one. Get a ride on one if you can. 👌😎
I am most definitely going to partake in the next indian demo days at the indian dealership near me. My hubby will be tired from just getting of of a 12 hour shift but he's gonna have to go anyway. I'm not missing another one this summer.
Definitely don't miss it! Have you done a demo before? If not, make sure you get your hands on everything you can!! 👌😎
Enjoyed this video very much. Got a '17 Springfield (which I love) but i'm thinkin' it might be trade time!
Good video again, be keeping an I out for your FTR review.
I can't wait to get my hands on one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good reaction when you hit sport mode.
I enjoyed this one A LOT. Had me thinking about my next purchase. It's so so smooth.
Your response on this bike make it an interesting future option. It definitely looks interesting.
Love those lounge grooves dude.
I haven't watched any Indian reviews in a couple of years. Where are all the Harley-fan-boy haters? Times are changing?
Maybe there are more indian lovers than Harley fanboy haters? 😂👍
Looks like a road king. Bring back the 4.
Another great video. That Indian is looking nice!!
I'm taking your advice, 2019 I'll start creating and uploading content.
Thanks, David! Also, good! Get those creative juices flowing and start planning some vids. When you decide to drop one, you won't have to think about it. Just ride, record and done.
Also, don't shy away from doing a video that's already been done. Do it better! 💪
Thanks! I already have it planned in my mind, now just to get out and do it 😎
That's all it takes. Once you do it, you'll feel better about it. Then, you'll feel even better once you edit and get the video out.
Good review thanks' I was wondering if you have ridden the super chief and the chieftan? and what you thought of them?
I have several videos on both. Here’s a recent one on Super Chief Limited. czcams.com/video/qfiNQ9m80Iw/video.html
cool review mate, I love the look, Indians look like Indians not Harleys, wonder if its quicker than my 114ci Fat Boy
Mm, 114 would probably have the upper
I ended up buying a new HD Softail slim with a stage one kit. Honestly it would suck the Indians headlight off.... man it’s quick and handles like a dream. Indians are gorgeous but HD still has the better bike I think absolutely now with the M8 motor and especially the 107 😊
Blowen away, but I'm wondering what bikes Brandon has experience with or comparing with when it comes to pickup and power.
XDiavel, Fat Bob/Breakout 114, Victory Magnum, Suzuki M109, several sportbikes, Scout Bobber. Lot of different bikes.
Pretty good cross section, thanks for posting. I'm going to search to see if you review your Scout, I'm interested in the rpms at hwy speeds and vibrations and Rear Shock comments and or upgrades.
Vibrates a good bit in the 80-90 range. Stock suspension isn't adequate on crater roads.
Indian was smart enough to give it right side drive.
I have the 2017 Roadmaster and I sooo wish it had sport mode. If it did, I wouldn't have to someday drop all that cash for a stage 1 or 2. Great review. and you are right, the 116 fuel map is sketchy or my demo ride was, with the ride modes , the 116 upgrade is a non issue, not needed at least for me .
Yeah, I didn't get a chance to ride the 116 at Thunder Beach. I did hear that this 116 possibly had a different tune, but I can say that this one was hitting in all the right places.
Sport mode is just a throttle sensitivity adjustment in the ECM. It can be programmed on your 17.
I was unaware of this. Why have I never heard of this ?
@@Roll_with_R.C. Well, whether it's reducing or adding power in the modes, there is a noticeable difference. I'd be careful with Sport mode in certain conditions.
I drove this bike, it was my favorite Indian
That’s a good looking road king
Indians look as much like Harleys as Harleys do Indians. They were always styled similarly.
I think that's always the first to go for me are the stock seats.
Good video and feedback on my future bike.
What sup Brandon... it's been a minute bruh.. but how do you like riding the cheiftain (116) and Springfield.. I've ridden both on demo days 3 times each.. I guess my question is how do you feel about the thunderstroke engine and have you had the chance to demo ride the Harley street gilde or road glide m8? Dont get me wrong the Indian is beautiful machine... the 116 ci it's a monster... but cheiftain 111ci and Springfield.. I felt there was little lack or delay on the throttle response.. like when you twist the throttle to give some gas it thinks about it oh you want me go fast lol.. where the Harley big cruiser line.. especially the road glide I felt it was better over all bike and eats the wind like butter with shark nose fairing.. dont get me wrong the Indian is beautiful bike.. I'm just comparing the thunderstroke engine vs the Milwaukee 8..
I had the chance to ride that Springfield about 3 weeks ago and I had the same reaction. I have been trying to figure out how to sell a kidney every since lol
Love the enthusiasm.
Got a 2019 114ci road king special. Love it. Test drove sn Indian. Good American bike. Just clunkier trans and less refined to me. Competition is great for the consumer. Cant wait to see what Indian's answer to the 114 will be.
Awesome! Glad you at least got a chance to test ride it. Also, Indian's answer to the 114 is the 111, lol. If you want to go a step further there's the 116. After riding the 114 Fat Bob and Break out, I think the 111 is plenty. 👌😎
Traded my 2016 Softail Slim S for the 2019 Springfield Dark Horse.
Love that bike!!
Love my Springfield. Though my Springfield is a 2017, so it lacks all the cylinder deactivation/ride mode features :(
I've been hearing that it's a software update so I would check with a dealership before ruling it out. 👌😎
Boom!
Less weight but also a lot less wind drag too and this is why this bike feel so peppy when you wind out the throttle.
Good analysis, David! You could definitely feel the difference.
Lloyds cam air intake and Rush pipes. It's aliiive!!!!
That'd be a killer set up!
Just the right amount of torque, lopey from the cams, and the right amount of growl. And a little better fuel mileage. And still be reliable.
That matte white is what they were using on thevictory....its sexy
One of the best colors imo!
It reminds me of a Victory motorcycle.
Havent watched your videos in a while , seen 3 tonight . Did you get the dark horse??????
Nah.. Nothing new yet.
Beautiful scoot
This is a beauty...
You’ve got skills with your editing on the intro. Great video but kinda long. I loved the Springfield but I bought a scout cause it’s a lot of bike for a lower payment. All those Indians need a real tach that you can see.
Yeah, test rides are just long like that. I try not to cut them down since it's normally a chill ride.
Thats a Beauty bro!!!! Wowwww...
You got that right! 👌😎
@@BrandonBicasso You think you would trade your 109 for the Sprinfield??
@@BrandonBicasso You think you would trade your 109 for the Springfield?
Nah, but I'd trade my M109R for it. I still enjoy the quick around the town feel of the Bobber.
@@BrandonBicasso i got you!!!
did the springfield dark horse bug bite ya? u seemed to be having hella fun on it bruh
I had a lot of fun on it. Comfortable and smooth ride. Didn't feel like I was trying to hard. The bike did everything for me.
Maybe stage 2 cams and it would be perfect
No one complains about their bike having too much power :)
Not gonna lie.. I was thinking the Springfield had more power than the 116. The way it felt anyway.
Chieftan is lighter than the Springfield according to Indian's website. I need to test ride this ASAP.
Whaaaat? I would've thought it was the other way around.
@@BrandonBicasso Me too but I checked them out online today while researching baggers. About 12 lbs. lighter.
It's lighter, but everyone says the springfield feels lighter because of the rake angle
Ah, didn't think about that.
So Brandon, what's the difference between a chief dark horse and a Springfield dark horse?!
I look at the Chief as a less pretty Springfield and without bags.
Chief dark horse has a longer rake so it's more stable in straight line but less responsive in corners. Also, Springfield should have air adjustable rear shocks...the Chief has a manual knob to adjust the rear.
I don't know why I didn't see this video before. This is the bike the color everything that got me interested in the Indian brand after Victory went to hell. The new Springfield has the bigger motor and I'm watching this right after the Challenger came out. Indian just makes for very hard decisions now.
Hey, subscribe so you don't miss it next time, lol. I didn't ride the new Springfield at the demo yesterday, but listen.. the new 116 is on point. It's a lot more refined and smooth on power delivery. Definitely check it out if you haven't the opportunity.
@@BrandonBicasso im subscribed! Have been for a while..thats why i wondered how i missed this... It was maybe 12 vids before your accident. Which im glad you recovered from. Im gonna try to ride both next spring. Johnny ks is getting a delivery in dec of the challenger
I bought my indian chief vintage in august, and i specifically bought it for the beautiful valence fenders and the wire wheels....😬😬😬😬
I feel it! I bet it looks fantastic in motion.
@@BrandonBicasso it looks so effing beautiful...whenever i'm in a touring mood i take out the Indian, i also own the Rocket 3 Roadster, the ducati panigale and a Harley Fat Boy...😀😀😀😀😀
What kind of response do you get from people when they see it?
"A rocket strapped to my couch" hahahahahahahahaha
All I needed was a cup holder and snacks. 😀 That rocket would've taken me anywhere I wanted to go.
Actually been considering trading my bobber for this bike. I'm torn🤔🤔🤔
Mmmm, have you ridden one yet?
@@BrandonBicasso Not yet, I was already considering the 2018 dark horse but then my dealer told me to hold off and check this one out before. I know I can't ride that bike and not take it home🤣🤣🤣🤣. I always appreciate your content. I gotta catch sometime when you are back in Ga. I wish the Springfield dark horse came in like a denim red, that white looks good but if I make the trade, I may try that.
I'd like to see it in a burnt flat cherry or red. Ugh, gotta stop riding these bikes, lol. Also, I'm doing more state to state rides so I'll def be in the area soon.
@@cmaddox1766 you end up trading in? I'm going in tomorrow to look at trading in my Scout for the Springfield DH
@@HoustonT17 I am currently eyeing two 2019 models 5 hours away from me. Was not happy to hear that my dealership doesn't ship bikes. I am chosing the 2019 over the new versions because I like the 3 lamps in the front. Don't know why they were taken away on current models. My new dilemma is deciding am I keeping the bobber or trading it for a Springfield DH. I am attached to the bobber but don't want to neglect her once I get this Springfield.
Love that bike
You and me both!
Brandon Bicasso I am seriously thinking about trading in my victory high-ball for that bike you killing me here stop making videos like this I'm going to be trading my bike every other month LOL
Lol, how do you think I feel after riding it!? I get asked on the spot if I wanna sign papers. 😂🤓
Da Baby moment at 1:30
😂
Lmao that's bike I'm thinking about. Not willing to sell my first bike though, two tone blue white 2018 scout. 8500 miles on it since July. But that Springfield...
Wow!! I got my thunder black 2018 scout in July and only got 1100 miles on it. I'm a bit jealous. Of course I don't have the endorsement yet, just permit and have to ride with someone who has it.
How did I not know you were in Bham
Gotta get it together, Nick 😌
Brandon Bicasso I know man ... well if you do any rides let me know man buy you a beer or something enjoy these videos man keep it up
Will do! I don't ride to Bham enough, but I plan on making a crap ton more trips there. So many areas to explore ; )
Trading the 109 for it? Lol
