The justice system is so fucked, a kid who defends himself from a school bully serves 15 years but a child molester who was seen and proved doing it only servers 15 months Ive lost faith in humanity this is just sickening
I really appreciate this. I loved that movie but I'll never watch it again and haven't since learning about him. I love watching y'all because your videos are great but also because you are good people and we need to support them more.
I am almost always for separating the art from the artist and have enjoyed the _Jeepers Creepers_ films, but I absolutely 100% respect James' opinion on this and him sticking to his guns. It's always just such a shame when you find out something you enjoy came from a terrible source. But it's up to us as individuals to figure out whether we can reconcile our love with the art with our disdain for the artist, and whether or not we choose to consume the art.
Well I dont know if him not wanting to promote the movie or what ever means hes good guy in real life lol. However when it comes to this type stuff there really isnt any real answer that can satisfy every one. Movies are made by entire groups of people and chances are one of them has prolly done some horror stuff cause humans themselves are mostly terrible to begin with. But when you actually know about it that makes it feel different so when it comes to this stuff both sides are right you are not at fault for not wanting to watch the movies or pay for them but it is also true all people have all sides to them and just because someone is horrible person doesnt mean they are creative in other areas. Point being there are all kinds of molesters axe murders and serial killers who prolly could make enjoyable movies lol. So it is perfectly fine and understandable to separate yourself from the person and just enjoy the product if you are capable of doing so. Its just something thats different for every person there is no right or wrong answer and in the end it all comes down to how you feel personally and rather you yourself can separate the art from the artist.
I pretty consistently get the impression from James that he is a profoundly decent and thoughtful guy. His opinions are always reflective and never knee-jerk, he seems to have a strong sense of the importance of doing the right thing, and he's also not dogmatic about the ethical views he holds, as demonstrated in this clip. Don't know the guy personally, of course, but everything I've seen and heard from him points in the right direction.
It was actually originally worse than that, there's a scene that was cut from the theatrical release where two men are discussing how one of the main characters was molested by her step father and one of the men says "can you blame him though... the heart wants what the heart wants". Absolutely disgusting. Unfortunately I didn't learn about this vile predator until after I had watched his mediocre films. He's a danger to society and should be locked up.
I will always respect James for the level of honesty he brings to the channel and his business. Stuff like this is always why you do your research before covering certain topics
PLOT TWIST: He uploads a video called "Jeepers Creepers Kill Count" but it's just a Livestream of him hunting down and killing Victor Salva and all his friends.

I mean, prison is supposed to reform criminals, not punish them. If it's just a punishment, then the cost for ruining someone's life should be the death sentence.
I respect James's opinion because James doesn't want to promote him. James, if you're reading this, You are a good guy.
Totally agreed.
Agreed

In the 3rd movie when the older brother character says "age is just a number" in regards to a minor.

The sad part is, considering the context, it's hard to argue it wasnt a sly nod.
It was actually originally worse than that, there's a scene that was cut from the theatrical release where two men are discussing how one of the main characters was molested by her step father and one of the men says "can you blame him though... the heart wants what the heart wants".
