Would you say Air Bnb's has more Pros or Cons ?
We started Airbnb 3 months ago after we bought the property in 2013 and stopped doing the traditional rental, everything you mention in the video is absolutely true, everything !!!!
Has it been profitable?
Thanks for sharing. I'm glad that it has been working for you. At the end of the day, it has pros and cons like anything. All the best
Would also like to know if it has been profitable
Done Airbnb x 5 years - all your points are spot on. It is far from a passive way to make additional income , but the extra efforts are rewarded. I’ve not had any security safety or theft issues. Most guests are local. Do not accept payments outside of the platform- this is sure sign of a bad guest.
Thanks for sharing. You make some great points. I agree. Rather stick to platform guests only. One advantage can be the higher yields, and that makes the work worthwhile. Thanks again, all the best
I've been with Airbnb for 3 years and had exceptional service, until this year. Since February I've had delays with payouts, support agents take days to reply, lies about payouts being done when they haven't, excuses and the run-around with many support agents who keep repeating the same excuses and still no payouts. I see more and more Hosts complaining about payout delays so as soon as they've paid me what they owe me I'm leaving Airbnb. Rather use other platforms because Airbnb is now the worst one out there. Im still waiting for multiple payments. Breach of contract and fraud come to mind.
Wow, so sorry to hear. The property that im running is working well with Booking.com. the one I like the least is lekkerslaap. Is there any other ones you know off?

Great tips Louis. As a real estate agent, I also want to share that some sectional title properties may not be suitable for AbnB as the BC rules sometimes excplicitly state you can not sublet and/or AbnB. So if you are considering buying in a complex/townhouse/apartments for your AbnB investment, make sure you read the rules and note it can also be subject to change in the future. IMO it is more ideal to have a AbnB where you live on the property and AbnB the main house or the flatlet, or maybe you are lucky and you have 2 flatlets to AbnB whilst you live in the main house. Informative video nonetheless.
Thanks for your input. This a great point . I think most people will miss this, but it's very important to be aware of this. Just imagine buying a propert only to find out you can't use it for short-term rentals. Thanks for watching and sharing your insights 👏🏻💪🏻
You know your field. Very good points.
Thanks for your insight, champ. 👏👌... I always wonder if people are making good returns on short-term rentals, and I agree with you. It fluctuates, and sometimes you make money, and sometimes, someone else is.
That's why I will stick with long-term rentals instead , easy to manage, and doesn't depend entirely on seasons of the year.
Thanks for sharing. I agree with you, you make some very good points. It's also very difficult to project your income for short-term rentals, so your calculations are very vague.
Thanks for sharing 👏🏻💪🏻
Impeccable timing for you to upload this 😅, I’ve been looking into AirBnb investment. Thank you 😊
It's a huge pleasure. I'm so glad it can help. Thanks for watching 😁😁
I converted two of my apartments in a high tourist town on the mosel riverin Germany into Airbnb's. Ran them for 3 years. I kept a close eye on revenue from these. The conclusion is we made the same amount on a permanent as we did as an AirBNB. 2 weeks before covid, I pivoted to permanent tenants. Running and airbnb was not worth my while. We had 4.8/5 stars and in the best location in the town.
This is some really good feedback. Thank you for taking the time to share. This is insight you won't find anywhere. Appreciate the input 🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@louisreynhardt if you need more information, happy to provide it. Keep up the epic advice. Going though all your vids now
Hi. My brother in law has been doing an abnb. He has and still is making very good money. Massive risk is the criminal element in South Africa. There are many security, thefts and dodgy things that happen. Based on just that. I couldn’t do it. By the way he has 5 stars on airbnb.
Wow, thanks for sharing. That's something that I missed. The criminal side of things can be risky. Thanks for adding it to the video. All the best.
Thanks for sharing 💪🏻

U welcome to do a video on being an Uber owner in SA....
Thanks, this doesn't really form part of my channel niche. Im sure if you search on youtube, you will find something
Rather not...I've been one for 3 years...sleepless nights
@hyronbooysen2817 uber driver or air bnb owner ?
@@louisreynhardt uber owner...I'm doing Air B&B since December 2023 and it's doing very well...
Haha lekker gelag vir "20%, that's a fif of your income"
Ek en Engels is nie groot pelle nie 😅🤣🤣
I get the importance of catchy video titles but there a difference between catchy & misleading...
If you dont like it, dont watch it. It's 2023, not the year 2000.
If the info is not valuable to you, or teaches you something then you dont have to watch it. I believe that the value should be more important than the title. Hope that you can understand this.
Morons like this need no attention
How can I contact you ? I already sent an email to you for discussing about a business
I might have missed your email ? Just add a clear title and a clear message of what you want to talk about. It might be seen as spam
