I love this- my Louisiana grandma made this too. She added a diced hot pepper for some kick, a can of whole tomatoes along with including shrimp to complement that sausage. Mmm- Mmm good!

Cabbage cores are good eating. Not everyone likes them, but my mother cut cabbage, I got the core. Now, I take them and grate them out and into stir fries. Don't waste that stuff.

My granny ALWAYS cored the cabbage, quartered it, salt, pepper and good stuff. We NEVER threw that away. Especially when it was Kraut canning time. Coming up the hard way nothing was wasted

Gorgeous dish! This is halushki southern style. I usually make mine with a lot of bacon, but you have the bacon flavor covered by using bacon grease to start your veggies. The sausage really takes it over the top! The cabbage and egg noodles combo is a must. Thank you for sharing.

I made this recipe for meal prep last week and just substituted real bacon for turkey bacon and I used turkey andouille sausage with shrimp. Other than that I followed your whole recipe and it was 🔥🔥. Keep the amazing recipes coming my man!!

That's funny because I make egg noodles almost every time I make Cabbage, and I always eat them together on my plate, but never thought of mixing them together. I'll add a little butter to get those seasonings to really stick to those noodles. Your dish looks great!! Thanks for sharing.

You've got to try fried potatoes with fried cabbage. Just add the cabbage to the fried potatoes at halfway. I put sausage and bacon in it and a little sugar. OMGoodness!!! Soooooo good!!!!!!!
