After adding mushrooms, red bell pepper and bacon bits this has become one of my favorite basic comfort food combos!
Andouille sausage is pork. Just in case people don't know. I will try this with beef sausage. Thanks for the recipe. Looks delicious.
Just finished watching the video and came here to say exactly that. I love Andouille sausage and make something similar to this but on a baking sheet so the potatoes get nice and crispy instead of steamed. 🤤

Canned green beans is the only way. When Mama didn’t have sausage she’d substitute with chunks of ham leftover in the freezer from the holidays. Thank you, sugar! I forgot about this dish for a hot minute. I’m gonna bring it back into my life. Much love! 💛

I'm so glad you used andouille. Smoked sausage wouldn't be as good. I'm going to make this for friends. Might use fresh green beans and par boil them. I don't mind snappin' beans.

we eat these ingredients covered in water, and they make a broth that is divine, we also do it like a casserole. both ways are awesome !!!! Its a low cost , filling meal.
I make this all the time as a main dish. My husband loves it, never thought about it being a side dish.
Oh wow.......this is awesome. My mom ( a true southern girl), used to make a red potato and green bean mix with bacon. This is next level. I also make an Italian version...using Italian sausage, red potatoes, onion and green beans with olive oil and Italian seasoning. How I HATE type 2 diabetes......but I can try it without potatoes....maybe substitute with some cauliflower. So happy I found your channel. Peace out.

Been making something similar for decades now (bacon, potatoes, fresh green beans). With not having her recipe, this is the closest thing I could find/make that even came close to my Grandma's canned green beans (plus her tweeks) that she made for holidays and Sunday family dinners. Eating these instantly takes me back to her kitchen/table

AB I make something simular. Cajun Peppers, Potatoes & Anduelle sausage. Instead of green beans, I use all colors of bell peppers. It is delightful! I will make your version for sure to change it up! Thanks!
