Yeltsin was actually a pretty shrewd operator. Far from the drunk buffoon he was portrayed as. After all, as the USSR fell apart round everyone's ears, he focused on building and condolidating a power base for himself in the new post Soviet Russia. Once the old Union was dead,. he he was president of the Russian Federation, he stared down an attempted coup, put down a bid for independence by the Chechens, and was able to hand power over to Putin without any major hassles. Edit: That said,. he could have done the transfer to democracy and capitalisiam way better.

Он понимал что реформы советской власти не помогают, он даже однажды сказал (народ в гневе, реформы буксуют, вот и складывается культ личности Горбачева.) Потом развал СССР, вот Ельцин президент Российской Федерации, но из-за пристрастии к алкоголю он не мог трезво править, из-за чего Россия была разграблена в 90е годы, много людей погибло например в чечне (наши нынешние друзья). Мне кажется что Ельцин не хотел такого исхода за свое правление, он просто не понимал как надо править страной.
