This is my 28th of many times asking you to listen to the Guilty Gear Strive character themes
I will ask you this every single video until you make a video of them
That's not a very high bar
@Matthew McKenna, it’s less obvious but Perry actually values his enmity with Dr. Doofenshmirtz as much as Doof does. In fact when Doofenshmirtz replaced Perry as his nemesis with Peter the Panda, Perry has an entire song lamenting it m.czcams.com/video/782tqgEwQiI/video.html
Can you react to Wilbur Soots new song "Soft Boy"?
This Video didnt show everything or? i think it didnt mention that his parent were not there at his birth. ( I dont now how it works, they problbly both left right after the birth)
If you think Doofenshmirtz’s backstory is sad, just wait until you hear how sad 2nd Dimension Doofenshmirtz’s backstory is!
i know right! it made me cry so much 😔
Lol
Choo choo?
Choo choo 😭
It's honestly tragic 😥
Some wholesome fact, Doofenshmirtz ended up being the best dad he can be to his daughter
In one episode he gave his daughter a doll she wanted when she was 7, he said that he never stopped looking for it FOR 10 YEARS
He looked for a discontinued doll, FOR 10 YEARS
He's literally the most nice main villain in a story that has ever existed, it's so cute. He's also just funny and sad
Also that he always made an effort for her birthday and actually stuck around even after the divorce, which is amazing considering his own experiences with birthdays and his parents' neglect.
It is criminal that that song was excluded in this compilation. Not So Bad A Dad is a genuine heartwarming tearjerker!
technicly 9 years. she only had one birthday episode, and in it she tunred 16, not 17
@Sam McClung He only sent him to a different dimension iirc.
"They both failed to show up at my birth" implies atleast to me, that Doof was maybe a surrogate baby. Which, in a now new theory of mine, could also explain why they loved his little brother more; he was their miracle baby
that actually makes sense holy crap
Comment to try help move this up
Omg that makes so much sense!!!
This makes so much sense.
Holy crap that makes sense
For what it's worth, Perry and Doof actually get along pretty well when there's no evil scheme to thwart.
Yep!^^
Kinda like bowser and the mushroom kingdom group (peach, Mario, Luigi, etc.).
When he’s not trying to kidnap her and fight them, he’s hanging out with them riding go karts and playing party games.
Perry even he’ll set Vanessa’s birthday up in the love handle episode
I'd even say they're partners I think the creator replied to some tweet saying something similar
Best example I can think of is the episode where Perry shows up and Doof isn't even doing anything evil, he's just preparing for his daughter's birthday and Perry lends a hand.
Doof having a horrible childhood then turning into legit one of the best cartoon dads ever will never not be ironic tbh
I think you mean iconic.
@@SirGeoGio13 the 'c' is far from the 'r' for that to be a mistake though

"Is that something that sticks?" Mathew I have great news. It is one of the most recurring pieces of canon lore about Doofenshmirtz. He is canonically, legally an ocelot.
I completely forgot about that, omg. Thank you for reminding me. Phineas and Ferb canon is some of the best lore around.
which is how he ends up being allowed to join the O.W.C.A
Thank you O.W.C.A and the O.W.C.A Files and the series finale for making this a thing in Canon.😹
You have got to be joking, what the actual heck? 😂😂😂
@arianna-qb9rd no joke, all of his backstories are relevant but this one comes back up again more than once which isn't a lot but for a doof backstory it is
Perry & Doofenshmirtz are definitely friends. When Peter The Panda replaced Perry as Doof’s nemesis there was a whole song where Perry was heartbroken and almost gave up being an agent because of a Panda. And if I remember the episode correctly, i think Doof started to miss Perry because Peter was either way too serious about his job or did absolutely nothing (not sure which one it was).
He wouldn't listen to his backstories, and would just rush to finish the mission. No fun at all.
Oh no, Peter the Panda was too serious. The one that did nothing was Planty the Potted Plant.
They’re “Frenemies”
They also resolve their relationship on a talk show for evil scientists
@@LeafRazorStorm Planty the Potted Plant did defeat Doofenshmirtz and was later scouted by OSWA to become a real agent.
You didn't see the backstory of Roger's birth. They were expecting a girl so Heinz's mother spent a year knitting girl clothes, after Roger's birth his parents forced Heinz to wear girl clothes for an entire year.
oh yeah this...

Damn rogers backstory is like mine lol, literally the same thing hapepned to me
5:44 Actually, yes. (This is something that actually happened in the show. >>> ) Being adopted by ocelots allowed him to later be hired as a secret agent in the animal-only O.W.C.A. (Organization Without a Cool Acronym) alongside Perry.

It's good that he's protective of her, but I'm not sure straight-up murdering someone over one creepy comment is a proportionate response.
As one of the creators (and Doofenshmirtz's VA) confirmed, Doof is not Phineas' dad. Doof and Linda (Phineas' mom) NEVER saw each other after that date as per his own admission. And let's not forget Candice was born first.
This. Plus we know she had Candace after being a popstar and having a one-hit wonder, so obviously after the bad date.
That’s what I was gonna say! The timeline doesn’t make sense!

Doofenschmirtz and Perry always had like a frenemy relationship in P&F. They fight each other but when they are both in deep sh*t they help out the other. There was an episode when Doof genuinely was offended when no one wrecked his plans. Especially by Perry.
Looks like the only genuine relationship he had was with his daughter, his robot sidekick Norm, and his 'destiny' Perry. Doof always has dumb reasons why he invents -Inators, but really, it's just a way to get attention from people who keep him company.
His relationship with his ex-wife is also surprisingly good. They don't seem to be particularly close, but it's perfectly cordial, there is no bad blood there
@@Nellipusen You noticed that only his ex-wife was like "Your father is not evil!". And she was absolutely right.

12:40. In that episode, Roger unveiled a massive painting, which was a recreation of that painting he messed up. Doof didn't know that, and it's one of the few times his plan actually succeeds. Also, considering Roger only saw it briefly, he must have a photographic memory
I believe he did a restoration. Like he paid people to painstakingly restore it back to it's original condition and remove the stains.
@@TKDWILSON correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't roger restore the painting out of guilt and unveiled it in Heinze's name, only for Heinz to ruin it. It's been a while since I last saw the episode

Don’t worry Matthew, Perry and Doof are actually friends, they give each other Christmas gifts and stuff. Perry also shows up to important events to Doof and helps him with his family (like helping set up a birthday party for his daughter Vanessa). Perry still has to, you know, stop him from turning people into chickens and stealing all the tin foil in the tri state area, but other than that they’re pretty good friends lol
Perry just keeps doof in check in all 😂 like any good friend should~
That inator didn't turn people into chickens. It simply swapped their location with that of the nearest chicken.
Doofenshmirtz and Perry's weird friendship thing is 100% mutual btw, it's actually really sweet
You ask what community would choose one target to abuse and blame? Many of them. It's where the concept of 'the village idiot' came from.
The ocelots come up multiple times. He even tries to introduce his daughter to his ocelot mother.
What episode? I don't remember that
@@Russetfur1128 I dunno. There was an episode where his ocelot mom was visiting at the lab. It wasn't a large part of the episode. And since the show is deliberately formulaic, it all blurs together.
@@arellajardin8188 It was in "This is Your Backstory" where he and Norm created a game show where Doofenshmirtz harvests all of his most painful backstories in a big machine to feed them back into himself to turn into a giant monster. He had guest stars arrive and both his human mom and ocelot mom appeared, and both of them beat him up.
Linda was also invited to the show, but she didn't remember him at all.
Perry and Doof are kind of frenemies. Most of the time they're battling each-other, but every so often Perry helps Doofenshmirtz do something that isn't evil, it's kind of wholesome tbh. Also I don't know if I want to spoil it but...
in the series finale Doofenshmirtz turns good and quits evil!
And in Act Your Age (10 years later) we learn they play bowling every week so he stuck to it
@@GubbiGap I remember that lol
It's kinda funny how Doof and Linda just sort of miss each other.
Perry lives with her, her kids have been to his house multiple times and she's friends with his ex.
And her daughter is friends with his daughter, her son has a crush on his daughter, and her husband accidentally stumbled into a televised villain competition that Doof was a part of.
Yeah it’s honestly amazing the one degree of separation between them
Perry and Doof's relationship can be characterized as "frenemies" bit honestly, i think it evolves throughout the show
In the first couple seasons their interactions are a lot less amicable than what they become later on, and eventually, they seem more like really good friends who just do the "enemies" bit for roleplay
Also, there is an /insane/ amount of romantic/couple jokes with these two - from dressing them in matching wedding outfits, to having them go to couple's counseling after Doof "betrays" Perry with a different agent, to have them dancing together in New Years (its a pretty cute scene, honestly)
TL;DR - Perry and Doofenshmirtz are actually pretty close, and like each other a lot, even tho they're also nemesis
Meanwhile Peter the Panda is just a Thwarty Call for Doofenshmirtz.
Didn't the creators end up confirming that they're in a relationship? I feel like I saw that somewhere.
@@Russetfur1128 i think dan povenmire does a lot of perryshmirtz mentions in his tiktoks but besides that, dunno
@@AkumaTh I love how that's an actual thing that came out of Doofenshmirtz's mouth and it was while kidnapped by Peter the Panda's actual nemesis.
@@onesmolbean5823 I think they did an interview once where someone asked if Perry would ever get a girlfriend, and both creators at the same time said no because he already had a boyfriend.
My favorite fan theory is that Perry isn't actually meant to be someone who stops him, but instead a support animal that listens to his childhood trauma, so that Doofenscmirtz can air it out and then stops whatever he builds to motivate him to move past it.
Perry and Doof are frenemies. They fight for good or evil most days but when they’re not fighting they really enjoy each other’s company and Doof actually gives Perry a fighting chance instead of killing him on the spot. He’s a good guy.
🎶They like disliking one another🎶

As a child, i couldn't ever understood his Backstory, i couldn't understand.
And used to laugh at it.
Now after years, I'm watching it again and now i realise how sad it really is.
it was kind of the point, something some people will laugh at because it's absurd but once you think about it it's depressing and disturbing.
Fun fact, Doofenshmirtz is a play on words that can mean "fool in pain" (doof = fool/stupid, schmerz = pain)
I never noticed that.
There’s actually a whole episode involving Doof using all of his tragic backstories to turn himself into a giant monster. “This is your backstory.” Season 3, episode 61.
For a mad villain who tragic family abuse of a backstory, this guy really give his only child a lot of care and love just to show that he maybe a villain but he not a bad father. I looking at you, Homelander and Omniman.....
Like one said, become the parents you needed when you were a child
Fun fact, Doof's mother used to sing bedtime stories about a fictional creature (Der Kinderlumper) and how it would get him. Meanwhile she sang a very nicer version for his brother about how it woulb bring Roger presents.
Doof being raised by Ocelots is actually a whole plot point for an episode where he uses the fact that he was adopted by them to get a job as an agent in the same organization that Perry works in that only hires animals as agents
Doof and Perry are friends... except for the fact that Perry has to thwart his evil plans. BUT they both do realize and respect that thats just his job. Thus, "frenemies". They respect each other and expect the other to uphold their role in their dynamic.
When Doof is having personal/family problems, Perry usually helps him out as long as his plans arent evil. He also helps Doof out of mortal peril (usually by Doof's own making). Doof takes serious offense whenever someone else threatens Perry and their dynamic. They also (sometimes) apologize to each other when they realize they've gone too far and actually hurt the other's feelings.
In the end, Doof does come to the good side and they're able to be truly friends-- except for the fact that theres hurt feelings because they dont see each other so often anymore, but thats a plot for a whole other series!
Phineas' Mom does actually become a Pop star (well, kinda).
Also, throughout the series, Perry is his only friend. There is also love muffin, but perry is always there when he needs it. That is probably why he creates a new inator everyday of the summer. After a while of being neglected sometimes you give up on trying. The show is so great because it's one of the most episodic shows out there, expecially because every episode is the same plot, but there is still a lot of lore.
Loreeee i love lore
Doofenshmirtz's Christmas song is a hilarious contrast to his onslaught of emotionally-scarring backstories lol
🎶I really don't hate Christmas! 🎶
theres actually is some progression between perry and doof you should watch the episode about his daughters birthday. it fleshes out his relationship with her AND perry very well. also incredibly heartwarming
I really love how Doofenshmirtz never became a sociopathic ahole and still turned out to be a great person and father despite his traumatic childhood.
Doofenshmirtz and Perry's relantionship is like a mix of nemesis/BFFs/married couple. They are enemies, but they also have this close bond that sterns from the very fact they are nemesis and Doof shares his past with Perry while explaining his plans that caused them to actually become frienemies. And the best part is that, whenever there's problems between them, that is always described as if they were married. Take Peter the Panda as an example. Peter is basically Doof's "new flame", because he got bored of Perry as an enemy.
Junto a Tom y Jerry son la mejor pareja de nemesis
10:26 The creators of this show hate this theory so much that they flat out disprove it every time someone asks
No, no he most definitely is not alright. Why do you think he's a villain to begin with? Oh and speaking of the Doof, you should hear him sing The Kinderlumper, fantastic song
The thing is he *thinks* being a villain is the way to go but it really wasn’t since he was just a really great guy and a good loving father who just has the worst luck.
Isn't the fact that he was raised by ocelots an actual plot point in the future, though? Since he becomes a part of same organization that Perry is on, because he was legally adopted by the ocelots that raised him?
He gets into the OWCA because of that twice, actually. Once during the season 3 episode "Agent Doof" where an invention so utterly fails that he decides he's not very good at being evil and becomes a good guy, and in the "OWCA Files", a TV special that was supposed to be a pilot for a spin-off series where he and a few other animal agents team up with Perry as their leader to take down villains.
Fun fact: perry and doof actually do end up being friends in the spinoff series milo Murphy 😁 you should watch it!
Both of his parents failed to show up to his actual birth.....
HOOOOOOWW????!!
I'd say he's adopted, but that would mean his parents actually chose to have him, and I doubt that would be the case.
Could be they had him and then bailed as soon as they could. Like when the doctors cleaned him up they made a break for it.
Wait until you find out because of the ocelot raising doof is considered an animal and can join perrys team to stop mad scientist
Yeah, Dr. Doofenshmirtez has a really sad backstory.
Yes he was adopted by ocelots. He is legally considered an ocelot which is why he doesn't get arrested for his criminal attempts.
Dr D honestly has such a sad and hilarious backstory
Doof and Perry are sort of friends and I do believe they get closer as the show progresses, with Perry often times actually showing genuine concern and care for Doof's unfortunate situations and helping him out, etc, to a point that some would even say that they're more than friends by the end, which I think it's fair to assume that they become platonic life partners eventually, because the last chronological adventure we see of them is Perry helping Doof through his mid-life-crisis in an episode that takes place several years in the future
In answer to your question: Doofenshmirtz was tricked by his parents into thinking he was going to the Store, but actually boarded the boat to America. and after he was aboard, there's a short scene with his parents celebrating that he's gone.
5:42 this is actually kind of important! Later on, he is allowed to join OWCA (where all the agents are animals) under the technicality that he was raised by ocelots. I don’t think there is ever an explanation for WHY he was raised by ocelots, but it continued being canon.
Yes, the ocelot thing does come back. Phineas and Ferb was a show with some amazing continuity and even seemingly random gags do come back into play.
Also, Perry and Doof are Frenemies, and as such, they do have some moments in the show where they don't fight at all and are actually pals for the episode 😁
I love how since he was raised by ocelots, it made him legally an Ocelot so he was able to join OWCA for a short while
Doofenshmirtz is, canonically, legally an ocelot. Which means he was allowed to become a field agent for OWCA for a short period of time, which only allows animals to become field agents. Doofenshmirtz's childhood is really sad but also weird.
The silver lining is that instead of being one hundred percent traumatized he took his experience and made sure that his daughter was not put through the same situation
Yes thank you the voice actor of doof even says that date with Phineas's mom lead to nothing and had to remind people he said he never saw her again lol
It makes me wonder why he's so hellbent on taking over the tri-state area and not wiping his hometown off the map
Small steps. Start with taking over the Tri-State Area then take over the world.
to one up his brother
@@erubianwarlord8208 he has tried that before well at least embarrassing him
Someone up there said it's because Linda (in the car scene) jokingly suggested him to start small, like the Tri-State Area first.
Yeah, the Ocelot thing sticks, he's now legally considered an ocelot, but I won't say why that's important incase you want to watch the show
The creator of the series, disprove the theory that phineas' mom and doof are his parents on his youtube channel.
More Phineas and Ferb content my beloved :D
The fact that Doof's brother becomes MAYOR. Even in adulthood, the dude keeps showing his brother up, lol.
I've always wondered how Phineas, Ferb, their friends, and Candace would react if they knew more about Doofenshmirtz, his tragic backstories, and how he's not so bad once you get to know him.
As a fun fact of doof, he isn't evil because had a really awful life, he Is evil just because linda suggest that to him
Linda just suggested that instead of trying to take over the world, he could start smaller, like the Tri-State Area. He is "evil" out of an obligation to his backstories, as was pointed out by Vanessa in the series finale.
I'm learning fly me to the moon on my new ukulele
nice! v chill to play on uke
Despite doof having a horrible childhood and being a villain he's a really good dad
Example: there's this one episode where Vanessa went camping with her friends and doof accidentally hits a bees nest and the bees get close to Vanessa and he covers himself in Honey from the bees nest AND JUMPS A CLIFF into water but ya know HE COULD'VE DIED!
We do see that Doof and Perry and friends/enemies relationship through the series. A way that I see it, Perry is more there to stop Doof from causing even worse damage, at least in the seasons. We also see, in the future, that instead of fighting each other, Perry and Doof meet up just either play chess or go bowling.
11:24, there’s a spin-off where Doofenshmirtz invented time travel
Perry and Doof are best frenemies
Yep!^^
Dr D's parents and Bro are the worst, but Dr D is a REALLLY GOOD DAD to his daughter. Within the show, I don't think we we ever see his daughter interacting with her paternal grandparents or paternal uncle. Pretty sure Dr D kept her away from those toxic relationships!
His brother Roger was really only a jerk in their childhood. As an adult, he's actually pretty nice and even took years to recreate the painting of Doof's he accidentally ruined when they were younger. Doof only still hates him due to jealousy. As far as I remember Vanessa actually likes Roger, but they don't see each other much.
They really hammer the point about Doof and Perry being best friends home in Milo Murphey's Law
After all of this abuse he went through, he still manages to be an amazing father to his daughter Veronica, honestly one of the saddest backstories but he put all that stuff in his past and became a loving and caring father unlike his parents.
The creators made another show called Milo Murphys Law which got 0 love from the network and the second season features doof quite heavily
I KNOOOOW! It was so good, but was canceled due to it not being popular

Doof low key “cheats” on Perry with the Panda as a nemesis and it’s classic relationship drama. They’re definitely friends.
Because of how he was raised and his trauma he's THE BEST DAD IN THE UNIVERSE
Theres an episode about him making an inator that gets more power the more depressing the backstory
My theory is that Dan Povenmire and Jeff Marsh simply underestimated how many kids watching would know how childbirth actually works.
I love Doof, his Backstory is so depressing, but it couldn't be funnier when they tell it. Yet he's a phenomenal father
I JUST watched Kevin Temmer’s Doofenshmirtz animation and then I get a notification of you reacting to the tragic backstory of Dr. D!
Not that I’m complaining, I love Doof’s character! But I can’t help but feel that I might be seeing a pattern here…
I feel like Perry is more like his Doof’s babysitter rather than a secret sgent.
By the end of the series Doof and Perry basically are friends. They start friendly rivals as sometimes they could get along for a bit until Perry inevitably has to stop him so his Inator of the day can clean up whatever Phineas and Ferb invented before Candice busts them. But as the series goes on, it just evolves until they genuinely become friends.
They still do the thing but it's like the wolf and Sheepdog skits from Looney Tunes. Off the clock buddies, on the clock enemies....only with less violence and much more singing.

Mathew: I hate mint ice cream
Me: who hurt you? Did mint ice cream show up in your nightmare?
To be fair it tastes like tooth paste. Not everyone likes it.
Yeah, Doofenshmirtz has probably the most messed up backstory I'm aware of. As for a run down.
His birthstory: Simply put, there are instances where the mother doesn't even know she's pregnant until she gives birth. So, what most likely happened is that. She didn't know she was pregnant until she gave birth. As for not being present, his parents likely tried to abandon him at birth. Sadly, stories like that also happens in real life.
Surprise birthday party: Yeah, sounds like someone had pity on him to allow it to happen. Perhaps the only surprise of that party.
Ice cream: I disagree, I enjoy mint ice cream. As for garlic ice cream, that sounds disgusting, and I like garlic. Sadly, not the worst I've heard. As an fyi of worse I've seen of food. Bubblegum topped pizza, fruit sushi, and pepper jelly. Actually things that people made.
Parents and others being abusive jerks: I don't think anything needs to be said. I should point out that such a thing does happen in some small towns. Although, it does explain why he works so hard to make his daughter happy. Even if his help at times is short sighted.
Raised by Ocelots: Obviously inspired by stories of children being raised by wolves or monkeys. Such as the girl who was said to be raised by the dogs. Whom was unfortunately tied up in a shed and kept there, which the town didn't see a problem with. Shocking the disturbing reality that may have inspired his history. Surprisingly, his Ocelot story ties into his relationship with Perry the Platypus. It's like, they were friends and then they kinda aren't, but still is. Can't wait till you see that one.
Ballooney: Yeah, that get's darker when Ballooney returns.
"Ended up in America": Yeah, that was funny.
Fan theory: Yup. That's where it comes from. She did at some point become a pop star and he does meet her again when she is a pop star. However, no details were mentioned other than the fact that they did meet again later. Not much of an explanation as to why she stopped being a pop star either, aside from the theory that she got pregnant and had to give up being a pop star because of it. Again, nothing thorough enough aside from a couple passing remarks.
Poetry. Either he was losing his mind at that moment or it was just a callback for humor and nothing more.
Roger: He did feel sorry and tried to restore the painting. Unfortunately, with Doofenshmirtz being short sighted in his awareness, accidentally destroys the restored painting.
Buying sausage cooked by someone on the sidewalk: I don't know. comes out good to me. Though, I tend to favor other foods. Then again, I also pass by a lot of people who do the same thing with corn on my commute to work. Sometimes a small street wagon, other times out of a food truck. Don't knock it til you try it, all I'm saying.
Panda: Has made a few appearances, such as when the space aliens show up. The space aliens also tie in to the return of Ballooney: Though, I think that's during the second visit from the aliens.
Other things, like the big fingers: I don't think I need to say anything more.
and don't forget wearing dresses
I'll answer your question.
He's not alright, he's greatest rival is a platypus.
Dan povenmire is on record stating that the two actual characters of the show are Doofensmirtz and Candace. They're the ones that have a story arc throughout the series, and the ones where the events of every episode stick. At the end of season... 4? We see Doof having tea with Norm, Perry, and Vanessa and generally having a good time together.
Sad thing is that his parents tricked him into getting onto a boat to America, both parents dancing and celebrating once the boat took off
The worst part is, his brother Roger is the mayor of the trustate area lol!
Also the episode of the last clip is actually about Doofs and Perrys relationship, you should totally watch it!
The “Only Son” bit gets even worse when you remember Doof has a brother.
In the episode Act Your Age which is 10 years later we learn that Perry and Doof now go bowling every week and he retired from evil. In the episode Last Day of Summer he also helps save the world and reconnects with Perry and his daughter in the process. So yea they did become friends!
suprisingly Doof is one of the best fathers in cartoon history
Peter the Pandaaaaa
Perry got reassigned and Peter replaced him
They both hated it. Perry quit his new assignment to go back to Doof and Peter went instead. Now Peter and Villain B whatever his name is are married.
They are like enemies but Perry really cares about Doof
Doofenshmirtz got an even sadder backstory than guts
Honestly I'd absolutely try a Doofenshmirtz Quality Bratwurst
Yes the ocelot thing sticks in an episode it’s actually brought up as a technicality for him to join the secret agent animal organization Perry belongs to when Doof tries out to be a good guy since being adopted by a family of ocelot qualified him as one apparently. While he still lived with the parents he seemed to be feed nurtured by the ocelots despite many attempts at pleasing and somehow still living with his parents though disowned from the biological family.
I’m so excited that p & f are coming back with more episodes on Disney+
And still, after ALL this, he ends up as the nicest father and just a very nice human being. He was only evil because the thought he had to be. BECAUSE of his crappy childhood.
doof and perry actually are good friends and perry does value him. search up “when we didn’t get along - phineas and ferb” and jt should pop up
Please check out The Amazing World of Gumball episode called ‘The Shippening.’ It’s basically the creators of the show calling out their fans in the most hilarious way.
Please please react to more Phineas and Ferb songs! Especially "Time spent together" and "Kick it up a Notch" are very underrated bangers
they do bring up that he was raised by ocelots at least once more. Also Doof understands he had a horrible childhood, that's why he does bad things, or at least that's why he believes he should do bad things. In one of the last episodes it's one of the plot points between him and his daughter. She calls him out on doing evil because he feels like he should when in reality he's just a good guy who had a horrible childhood. After that he gives up on evil and becomes a secret agent working with perry and the other animals because again, technically since he was raised by ocelots he qualifies as one. it all comes full circle.
