honestly doofinsmertz is more of a mild inconvenience than an evil villain, his main goal is taking over the tri-state area but he goes about it in extravagant ways that usually end up blowing up more so bc of his own incompetence than perry
I mean, his schemes include teleporting a building to an empty lot next to it so he can see free drive in theater movies out his window, making it rain on a soccer game to see the ending of a soap opera that keeps getting interrupted by soccer games, and other very petty things that would be inconveniences at most.
He was a trainee in the OWCA, the organisation where Perry works. But he was also bad at being a spy so they kicked him out and he became a villain and does less damage then if he where still a spy. In one episode they show that the OWCA has rebuild Doofs inators

There have been multiple occasions where they've taken a pause during fights to have a nice break or hung out right after Perry foiled his scheme. This isn't even mentioning the times perry straight-up helped Doofenshmirtz with something like renewing his license or getting through evil art block.

Yeah the lore is all over the place. He's also a divorced man. Fun kid show

phineas and ferb (who are actually step siblings ferb is the dads kid from england and cadance/phineas are related to mom) is the kind of show that has a strict formula that it adheres to, with the ocasional deviation to keep things interesting. every episode phinias and ferb get an idea for a new impossible invention, or adventure they want to do. they question where perry is. perry gets briefed on the latest thing doofinshmirtz is doing and is sent to investigate. candace notices what the boys are up to and trys to get evidence to show mom. perry breaks into dr d's lab, and gets captured. dr d. explains his latest plot to take over the tri county area, and sometimes tells some of his backstory. the kids finish what they are doing, or building, perry escapes, and destroys the latest ___inator the doctor made, but not before it does something to cause all evidence of the kids adventure to disapear (which happens at the exact perfect time to make candices claims seem crazy to her mom) ferb says his one line for the episode, and perry returns "oh, there's perry"
To answer what kind of relationship Doof, Perry and Major Monogram have and who's the villain and the goodguys: Doof is technically the villain, complete with a plethora of backstories from his tragic childhood, creative -inators and the general plan to take over the Tri-State-Area (rather than destroy the world, he'd actually question why anyone would do that, doesn't make sense, like, what are you gonna rule over when the world's destroyed, huh? Space rubble? Makes about as much sense as trying to BURN THE SUN XD) He's not actually much of an evil guy, even if he tries to be and he's also a really pretty good dad, definitely MUCH better of a dad than his own was Perry is assigned to stop all of Doof's evil plans, so he goes off each day simply to thwart him and blow up his newest machine- AFTER hanging around for a bit in Doof's trap, listening to another traumatic childhood story and just yknow, just being company for a bit They have kind of a "I love my hated arch-nemesis" thing going on Major Monogram as you guessed is Perry's boss and the one who always gives him his assignments On rare occasions where he and Doof are in the same room (like one ep where they hosted a show to show off the music in the show together) they just treat each other normally, like simple acquaintances, they do tease and mock a bit, especially Doof, but they don't act like Doof is a criminal on the run or gonna try to hurt anyone or anything like that
If you want any more context for Doof and Perry’s relationship you should react to “My Nemesis.” Also you should do “Not So Bad a Dad” for a better understanding of Doof as a person
The relationship between Doofenschmirtz and Perry is complicated and beautiful. He sees him as his arch-nemesis, but also, the person he turns to when he's having relationship issues with his daughter, or having trouble confronting his drivers license re-test, largely because he has to take it back in his home country of Drusselstien. Perry, for his part, mostly sees Doof as an annoyance, but genuinely cares for the bid idiot, and even helps him out deliberately and without request, on occasion.
Doof had the worst childhood! His parents didn’t turn up for his own birth, his father forced him to be their lawn gnome after they lost theirs, they disowned him, he was bullied by multiple people, he never could keep a girlfriend, he had one friend (a balloon named Balloony) and he lost him and the poor guy got betrayed. His childhood was so bad that he had to vent it all out to a platypus instead of anybody in his family. Poor guy.
If you see this, a friend told me about an artist named Mafumafu recently and I think it could make for an interesting video seeing as how most of his music isn’t typically what you react to. Almost all his stuff is in Japanese so that would complicate things but I think it could be a really cool change-up. You’d have to follow along with the translations but the novel and intricate ways he sings about such serious experiences and ideas (which he’s unfortunately experienced a lot of) makes him one of the best lyricists I’ve ever heard. He was made fun of a lot for his higher voice as a kid too but I think it lends itself to much better performances-his range is incredible.

And after Doofenshmirtz was scared to jump from a high dive, his parents disowned him and left him to be raised by ocelots. And as a child, his only friend was a balloon. And since they had thought Roger would be a girl, Doofenshmirtz was forced to wear “hand-me up girl’s clothing”. And those are just the ones that I can think of off the top of my head.

Linda and Doof went on ONE date to a drive-in theater before even CANDACE was born, a date which Doof screwed up in multiple ways including blowing up the freaking movie screen, after which Linda immediately left. Nobody who actually watched the episode would've come to that conclusion.

I saw a theory which makes a lot of sense about Doof. Doof was a trainee at OWACA, but it's so bad at doing anything that he is more successful for OWACA as a supervillain. Basically, while he is free, he invents -inators some of which OWACA copies and causes other supervillains he works with to be caught, so essentially Doof is an unknowing R&D department and double agent for OWACA.

phineas and ferb (who are actually step siblings ferb is the dads kid from england and cadance/phineas are related to mom) is the kind of show that has a strict formula that it adheres to, with the ocasional deviation to keep things interesting. every episode phinias and ferb get an idea for a new impossible invention, or adventure they want to do. they question where perry is. perry gets briefed on the latest thing doofinshmirtz is doing and is sent to investigate. candace notices what the boys are up to and trys to get evidence to show mom. perry breaks into dr d's lab, and gets captured. dr d. explains his latest plot to take over the tri county area, and sometimes tells some of his backstory. the kids finish what they are doing, or building, perry escapes, and destroys the latest ___inator the doctor made, but not before it does something to cause all evidence of the kids adventure to disapear (which happens at the exact perfect time to make candices claims seem crazy to her mom) ferb says his one line for the episode, and perry returns "oh, there's perry"
Trust me, if you knew Doof’s full backstory you’d be amazed he’s as well adjusted as he is

To answer what kind of relationship Doof, Perry and Major Monogram have and who's the villain and the goodguys:
Doof is technically the villain, complete with a plethora of backstories from his tragic childhood, creative -inators and the general plan to take over the Tri-State-Area (rather than destroy the world, he'd actually question why anyone would do that, doesn't make sense, like, what are you gonna rule over when the world's destroyed, huh? Space rubble? Makes about as much sense as trying to BURN THE SUN XD)
He's not actually much of an evil guy, even if he tries to be and he's also a really pretty good dad, definitely MUCH better of a dad than his own was
Perry is assigned to stop all of Doof's evil plans, so he goes off each day simply to thwart him and blow up his newest machine- AFTER hanging around for a bit in Doof's trap, listening to another traumatic childhood story and just yknow, just being company for a bit
They have kind of a "I love my hated arch-nemesis" thing going on
Major Monogram as you guessed is Perry's boss and the one who always gives him his assignments
On rare occasions where he and Doof are in the same room (like one ep where they hosted a show to show off the music in the show together) they just treat each other normally, like simple acquaintances, they do tease and mock a bit, especially Doof, but they don't act like Doof is a criminal on the run or gonna try to hurt anyone or anything like that
Doofn and Perry are frienimes, and thier friendship grows stronger as the series progresses, by the end thier just best buddies
The bratwurst joke is actually even more insane with context: because the context is Star Wars lightsaber battle.

If you want any more context for Doof and Perry’s relationship you should react to “My Nemesis.” Also you should do “Not So Bad a Dad” for a better understanding of Doof as a person
Doof has a weird frenemy situation with Perry. Its kinda hard to explain, but its like a relationship
The relationship between Doofenschmirtz and Perry is complicated and beautiful. He sees him as his arch-nemesis, but also, the person he turns to when he's having relationship issues with his daughter, or having trouble confronting his drivers license re-test, largely because he has to take it back in his home country of Drusselstien. Perry, for his part, mostly sees Doof as an annoyance, but genuinely cares for the bid idiot, and even helps him out deliberately and without request, on occasion.
I believe there is a compilation for all of Doof’s backstories alone
Doof had the worst childhood! His parents didn’t turn up for his own birth, his father forced him to be their lawn gnome after they lost theirs, they disowned him, he was bullied by multiple people, he never could keep a girlfriend, he had one friend (a balloon named Balloony) and he lost him and the poor guy got betrayed. His childhood was so bad that he had to vent it all out to a platypus instead of anybody in his family. Poor guy.
I feel like if Mathew watched at least one goddamn episode, he would suddenly understand it all.
TO BE FAIR Doof isnt really a super villain, everything he does has zero effect on anything he intends it to.
If you see this, a friend told me about an artist named Mafumafu recently and I think it could make for an interesting video seeing as how most of his music isn’t typically what you react to. Almost all his stuff is in Japanese so that would complicate things but I think it could be a really cool change-up.
You’d have to follow along with the translations but the novel and intricate ways he sings about such serious experiences and ideas (which he’s unfortunately experienced a lot of) makes him one of the best lyricists I’ve ever heard. He was made fun of a lot for his higher voice as a kid too but I think it lends itself to much better performances-his range is incredible.

After she realizes her continued existence no longer makes sense, it immediately ends. So it was a Time Clone
Half of these don't make much more sense in context, but Doofenshmirtz really is a living meme. Perry is his nemesis, but they have a frienemy vibe.

In the first phineas and ferb movie, the whole plot focuses on perry’s double life as a secret agent, and that phineas and ferb get mad and have to come to terms that perry used them as a cover, and they become friends again and fight stuff but then they get their minds wiped immediately because they can’t know or else perry is immediatley relocated and taken away

* fun fact: ferb is actually phineas step brother, lawrence is just their step dad. phineas and candaces real dad isn’t actually shown in the show :P a lot of fans used to think doof was their dad because doof and linda went on date when they were younger but the creators said it’s not true.

Phineas and Candace's real dad IS shown in the show... it's Lawrence. Being a stepdad is still being a real dad, he just isn't their biological dad.
Also, Doofenshmirtz isn't Phineas' dad because that's just stupid. Linda and Doof went on ONE date to a drive-in theater before even CANDACE was born, a date which Doof screwed up in multiple ways including blowing up the freaking movie screen, after which Linda immediately left. Nobody who actually watched the episode would've come to that conclusion.
He does know that the throat of a humpback whale is so small, a human fist could barely fit in its esophagus. This is due to their diet of krimp or fish, not giant macaroni n’ cheese.

I saw a theory which makes a lot of sense about Doof. Doof was a trainee at OWACA, but it's so bad at doing anything that he is more successful for OWACA as a supervillain. Basically, while he is free, he invents -inators some of which OWACA copies and causes other supervillains he works with to be caught, so essentially Doof is an unknowing R&D department and double agent for OWACA.

I think there was one episode where he had to throw himself a birthday party and no one came to it and then on his way home he was mauled by bats
he fell down a cliff and got a fire hydrant stuck in his leg or smth and that seems pretty traumatic idk
his mother never let him play in public pools
he was made fun of for being a wimp a lot
I think I remember an episode when his dad got a dog and named it onlyson and basically treated it better then his own child
