I think the conductor could be used to control the direction you go at a split by just looking toward the track you want to go. Put one on either side hooked up to a T-flip-flop and hook it up to a rail switch
Also because they don't respond to different color hats you could like filter trains based on the hat the conductor is wearing

A bunch of ideas:
You should try to survive on top of a create mod train moving through a bunch of obstacles, you can use other mods like parcool, epic fight or elenai dodge to have better dodging and other stuff, you can also switch the themes like from the overworld avoiding stuff like lamps and then in the nether where you avoid stuff like ghast fireballs
You should make create mod contraptions based on your friends, where each one describes their personality and you can showcase them to your friends, some could also include stuff theyre good at, like parkour or something
A rubik's cube which can twist and turn, but upon pressing a special button, the cubes will form into legs and move around a bit to create a statue, or a house
Make a whack-a-mole game with a point system using the Create mod

Surviving on top of a train with obstacles reminds me of that one Miniclip game, ''Gold Rush''. Ah, what a great game it still is lol
Give the conductors some kind of pathway system and I can see them pressing the buttons and acting like little minions.
For the driver, if you wear a different hat, it won't activate. So you can for example put two drivers of different colors next to a turnout, and change your hat depending on where you want to go

(2:38) in speedrunning, any% speedruns are basically just beating the game as fast as possible without worrying about any extra completionist goals, as opposed to 100% speedruns where you beat the game as fast as possible while completing each and every possible completionist goal (i.e. grabbing all the collectibles, finding all the secrets, etc.)
This is a nice add on, create mod and it’s community are a bunch of cool people, the conductor is cool, I still like using critters as my conductors tho, but it ads some extra functionality and variety which is cool.
The semaphore is like the barrier you made in one of your first creat kod trains video. It is supposed to be on the ground.

No it's not, a semaphore is a type of signal

Semaphore is the type of communication that uses two flags held by someone at different positions to represent letters. It used to be used where we would now just use a radio for communication. Sometimes it can still be used in loud in environments as a backup like on an aircraft carrier deck. This is not to be confused with the hand/baton signals that ground marshals give pilots for taxiing to a parking spot, although those signals probably originate from semaphore.
So the semaphore signals get their name from the flag communication method.
any% means to complete game with any percent of extra missions done and any percent of extra content used (usually it's just "complete main story as fast as possible with no sidequests", but if sidequest can make main story go faster and that will shorten the time, it also could be completed)
100% means to complete everything in game (and find all of content, it really depends on game)
What's really interesting is the low% category, which usually has some really long times because the idea is to beat the game with the least progress possible and that often requires quite lengthy processes to perform certain skips. From memory, there's a low% speedrun for LoZ: Twilight Princess which is like 25 hours but completes the game with, I think, only 3 items. There are two ways to beat the record, either do the same thing in shorter time, or, unintuitively, beat the game with fewer items even if it takes some arbitrary amount of time longer.

The conductors can be used for so many great puzzles
Conductor is the mob to fill the void after coper golem
but with more use because all ya do is look at em and i suspect it works though non solids. meaning hidden door activations
With this new knowledge of Create Mod trains, I challenge thee to find a map of the Island of Sodor, and replace all the tracks with ones from the Create Mod, in order to make it more realistic. Just an idea, but anyway I love your funny content. Keep up the good work!

ive noticed that the train tracks and signals in create act like the ones in OpenTTD where you use a chunk of rail with 2 signal detectors seperating that chunk or block from the rest of the rail, cool.

Loved the video @Shalz! Can't wait for the next video man! I have an Interesting Challenge for you with the Create Steam & Rails Mod. Build a Railway Line that uses the New Rails in the Mod to Show where the Train is Going with the Semaphore's. Either that or We go back to Checking Out Air Defenses with Create Mod, Create Aeronautics Mod and Create Big Cannons Mod.
Yes, you can build more Trains with more Track Variations or you can Build an Airplane (or several) with Create Aeronautics and try to defend a Base from them with More Airplanes or even Build Anti-Aircraft Guns with both Create Mod and Create Big Cannons Mod.
The conductor is basically the copper golem plus extra.

You could hide the conductor behind a wall and make like a eye-scan-thing, but your friends wearing no hat or diffrent hats would be wondering why doesnt it work on them

The conductors would be better than a train observer for if you're wanting to only change the track sometimes. Like if you had a fork in the tracks that usually goes right but you decide you need to go left, you could just look at your little conductor buddy in a little outpost to the side of the track and he'd switch the track for you

Try making an artillery cannon that is controlled by conductors. Like if you look at one - cannon rotates, look at another - cannon shoots. That would be pretty cool.
With the hat mans, you could make a crossing and the direction you are going depends on that hat you’re wearing

any% just means that there's no minimum amount of the game you need to complete for the run to count. As long as you meet the "win condition" you have a time.
