      Hi David. I’m in Northern California. I’m wondering if you have a program like a “ride a long” type program where someone who is learning about this business can shadow you for a weekend- of course paying you for this program? Have you thought about these workshops? I’d be happy to be able to sign up for this service.

      Awesome! Thank you for watching. No I do not warm the trays. I've tested both warming and not and there's not a difference. It's either going to warm-up slowly to the temp you set in settings or you select "skip" and it immediately starts the pump.

    • @freezedriedbusiness
      @freezedriedbusiness  Před rokem +2

      It's probably not hot enough. If you have the software version 5.0 or higher, there is 'Candy Mode'. Before selecting START, push the CUSTOMIZE option and adjust the heat to 135. Then SAVE and START. Let me know how it goes!

      @@dustyschuhmacher4169 when it gives the warm tray option play around with warming times, the longer you warm the trays, the greater the expansion. If you have a HR small, you’ll,have to cut the jolly ranchers in thirds or they will expand too much and make a huge mess.

    • @freezedriedbusiness
      @freezedriedbusiness  Před rokem +2

      If you have the latest software 5.0 or 5.1, Candy Mode is an option. Go to customize before you start the machine and adjust the temp to 135. Then press start and run them for two hours, they should pop within that time frame. On a large FD, usually the top and bottom trays vary on popping so 2-4 trays will perform the best.

    • @freezedriedbusiness
      @freezedriedbusiness  Před rokem +4

      FD Jolly Ranchers tend to harden-up and shrink within a 1-2 months in the buckets I use, especially if they are not kept in a cooler area. Since they only take a few hours to do, I wouldn't worry about getting too far ahead in your FD schedule. I typically run a few cycles in a day then package the next day or two for any event the following week or delivery to a wholesale customer. Hope that helps!

    • @freezedriedbusiness
      @freezedriedbusiness  Před 4 měsíci

      135 degrees for 2-3 hours. If you have the older software you can bypass to just kick in the final dry process which is essentially candy mode. Select "start", once it cools the chamber for 15 minutes select "continue", you should then see it as freezing. Press "cancel" and it will prompt you with the defrost options and in the middle is "add final dry", select that and then close the drain value. This will start the "candy mode" process on the old software.

    • @freezedriedbusiness
      @freezedriedbusiness  Před rokem +2

      $8-$10 per bag depending on the candy and time it takes to cut them. You won't find a public case, most settlements are confidential. You can search on some of the Facebook forums for cease and desist letters and fines for infringing on the trademark, lots of people have received them. It's not something to mess with, just come up with a different name for your products and only list the brand name in your ingredients.
