Yes, the taffy especially seems like it might do well, provided it doesn't burn. Also, on a completely different note, can you make cotton (candy?) from just plain salt?

I love the way some of the food is half opened
I can never eat freeze dried skittles without thinking about the song “Surfing on a Sine Wave” by Fearofdark ever since I went on a road trip and listened to the song in the car while eating freeze dried skittles. It is now a pleasant core memory engraved in my mind.
