These machines can easily cost $1,000,000. Moreover, from my experience, it breaks down after 1 wash because it is made of the cheapest metal and and changing chemicals is difficult, you have to climb a ladder to change chemicals! I recommend investing in a Washtec car wash because it is easier to replace chemicals and it uses less water than a washing machine (I know because I have it because I replaced this Chinese shit with Washtec)

These are good for "maintenance washes" on well pre-treated cars. If you have a ceramic coating, wax, or graphene sealant done from the last time you *hand washed* your car properly, nothing would stick to the surface so strongly that a good touchless wash cant get off. But if you're _not_ someone who took the time to get their last good (hand) wash protected, and you're coming with bug guts, bird droppings, and other road grime thats been accumulating and sitting on the vehicle for more than a day, these machines, more often than not, won't get the job done.

A small business idea is for you to buy a gas powered lawn mower, a scythe and plant shears, put it on the back of your 2001 RAM and go out advertising your gardening business. You'll spend 20-30 bucks a day in gas, but one job will give you minimum 80 buck, probably 100.
On the other hand, for an in-bay automatic car wash you are looking at a minimum of $250,000 per bay according to ISS. They estimate roughly $150,000 in equipment plus a $100,000 building as a minimum startup cost.

Personally I find that they don't do a quality job for the $14 they charge. So I put a few gallons of water in a bucket, grab my garden hose and wash mitten and a bit of car wash soap - and I do a great job in about 10 minutes for something approaching free. No wonder people claim they won't ever be able to retire. They are driving expensive cars to expensive car washes while paying people to do their chores for them. Not unlike paying someone $50 for a $10 dinner that you could make at home.

50 years....a single bay wash will cost you $6-700k on the light end. Charge on average $15 a wash. Even 20 washes a day is $300 pet day. $300 x 7 days a week is $2100 a week. $2100 x 52 weeks is $109k. This is an extremely low average of washes per day and some wash cycles can cost the customer up to $25 a wash. So your yearly total would be somewhere between $109k and $160k on the low side. Add it in a place with salted roads during the winter, and you be fine.
