The motion capture actor for Chris Redfield in RE5 (thus the boulder punching) was Reuben Langdon, who is also the voice and motion capture actor for Dante in Devil May Cry, so it was someone who was no stranger to absurdity.

That enemy must have been Boulder's cousin, it follows that it would be taken out by a Chris punch. Chris punches are like Kryptonite to the Boulder family, its in the lore.

Chris is one of my favourite characters in Resident Evil and you can very well see why

Looks like it has a similar one bullet kill to other RE games. Headshot stagger an enemy, then you can "super melee" within the right window to finish it off.

I think so, least in the highlights he pretty much always went to his inventory

you would think that trained soldiers might have some clue on how to defuse bombs
They most likely do but with alot of diy bombs the bomb defusing training they may go through is most likely thrown out the window as well let's say if you cut one or all the wires it goes off anyway, what then?
