Every interview Justin had, he took opportunities to drag her name through the mud. Take the Barbara Walters interview, for example. When they broke up, Justin went everywhere laughing and joking about this. He did this to damage her image. Naturally, due to the sexist nature of the industry and society in general, this only damages Britney’s image and does no damage to his image. The constant disparaging of Britney was embarrassing, rude and vindictive. Some of what Justin said about this was just plain disgusting and could have been avoided entirely (e.g. talking about going down on Britney). Justin doesn’t stop there, he also takes any chance he gets to take shots at Britney. For example, he bashed her career decision to do Crossroads. Let’s be honest here - if Justin had been offered a movie, he would have done it in a heartbeat. Justin also dissed Britney during an acceptance speech at the Brits in 2007. Even if we ignore the fact that the break up was 5 years prior to that at the time, this is absolutely deplorable. Britney was in the midst of the worst year of her life and experiencing a mental breakdown. She was getting attacked at every angle in her life and of course, he just has to pile on because she is an easy target. The mocking doesn’t stop there and there are so many examples (He mocked her in 2008 while inducting Madonna into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame; during a 2009 SNL skit; he called Britney a B**** at a 2013 performance; bringing up Cry Me a River as an example of his suffering in 2016 - a full 16 years after the song's release and making fun of Vegas residencies in 2018).
Don’t forget how he dissed Prince. Then he had the audacity to pay tribute to him at the Super Bowl. The Súper bowl he was allowed to perform while Janet is still blacklisted. Problematic!
He basically shat on Prince's grave when prince said in a interview that holograms were considered demonic If you know anything about Prince and a real Prince fan , you would know Prince would've never agreed to that if he was alive .
And even after all that, his 2nd Super Bowl performance was a snooze fest. Imagine if he had brought Janet onstage, and apologized right there and stood up for her. At least that would have been some sort of justice for Janet after being so disrespected.

I was in high school when they broke up and all the fans knew (through a site called angel wire ), that he allegedly cheated on Britney with a blonde overseas and Jenna Dewan when she was still a back up dancer. There were pictures online too. As HUGE fan of NSYNC and Britney, all the Britney fans knew she wasn’t innocent either and that she cheated with Wade, however, Justin took advantage and made it seem like he didn’t do anything at all.
I’m with you on this. Justin Timberlake definitely wasn’t innocent in the whole endeavor, but I believe the documentary brought it up to point out the hypocrisy, double standard, and cruelty of the media that allowed Timberlake to benefit off these women.
I was absolutely disappointed (I was a huge NSYNC fan back in the day and liked him tho JC was always my favorite) when he did that radio interview and the radio host made a deal with him that if Justin confirmed that he had oral sex with Britney, the host was going to spin Justin's single an x amount of times, and Justin agreed and confirmed to get those spins.

To be honest I don't believe either of them should be blamed for what happened at the halftime show. It was planned that Justin Timberlake would tear off her black bustier to reveal her red bra but something went wrong and the bra came off with it. It was all an accident. But I do believe he should be blamed and heavily criticized for not coming to her defense afterwards and not attempting to take the blame away from her. I'm not sure if it would have even helped any at the time but at least he would have been doing something to try and help her.

When they broke up, Justin went everywhere laughing and joking about this. He did this to damage her image. Naturally, due to the sexist nature of the industry and society in general, this only damages Britney’s image and does no damage to his image. The constant disparaging of Britney was embarrassing, rude and vindictive. Some of what Justin said about this was just plain disgusting and could have been avoided entirely (e.g. talking about going down on Britney).
Justin doesn’t stop there, he also takes any chance he gets to take shots at Britney. For example, he bashed her career decision to do Crossroads. Let’s be honest here - if Justin had been offered a movie, he would have done it in a heartbeat. Justin also dissed Britney during an acceptance speech at the Brits in 2007. Even if we ignore the fact that the break up was 5 years prior to that at the time, this is absolutely deplorable. Britney was in the midst of the worst year of her life and experiencing a mental breakdown. She was getting attacked at every angle in her life and of course, he just has to pile on because she is an easy target.
The mocking doesn’t stop there and there are so many examples (He mocked her in 2008 while inducting Madonna into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame; during a 2009 SNL skit; he called Britney a B**** at a 2013 performance; bringing up Cry Me a River as an example of his suffering in 2016 - a full 16 years after the song's release and making fun of Vegas residencies in 2018).

I was in high school when they broke up and all the fans knew (through a site called angel wire ), that he allegedly cheated on Britney with a blonde overseas and Jenna Dewan when she was still a back up dancer. There were pictures online too. As HUGE fan of NSYNC and Britney, all the Britney fans knew she wasn’t innocent either and that she cheated with Wade, however, Justin took advantage and made it seem like he didn’t do anything at all.

I’m with you on this. Justin Timberlake definitely wasn’t innocent in the whole endeavor, but I believe the documentary brought it up to point out the hypocrisy, double standard, and cruelty of the media that allowed Timberlake to benefit off these women.

To be honest I don't believe either of them should be blamed for what happened at the halftime show. It was planned that Justin Timberlake would tear off her black bustier to reveal her red bra but something went wrong and the bra came off with it. It was all an accident.
But I do believe he should be blamed and heavily criticized for not coming to her defense afterwards and not attempting to take the blame away from her. I'm not sure if it would have even helped any at the time but at least he would have been doing something to try and help her.

You know what, even if we consider Justin's apology all these years later, assuming that he somehow learnt from his blunders and is a good man now, we cannot forgive the industry and the audience. The absolute misogyny, blatant sexism in this scenario is heartbreaking. He went around talking shit in interviews, releasing over-personal songs, earning dollars on someone else's pain and sufferings. People go through break-ups and it surely hurts like a mf, and artists should definitely write from their experiences but banking on it by putting someone so horrifyingly down never sits right on me. His apology means shit to me. Moreover, his image remained spotless after everything. Even the last year's scandal with his co-star did almost nothing, which goes on to explain how very privileged the male gender actually is.
