Doug having to explain 4 times that the trap card doesn’t do anything while Farfa actively ignores him and fixates about the card doing something is peak Farfa.

@@Aides1128unless you built the vernusylph version, the deck has literally 0 non staple URs in the main deck - and the only thing vaguely resembling a deck-specific UR is dragite who also sees play in stuff like swordsoul and punk. I even played dragite in tearlaments for a bit when I was using the branded in high spirits package, since ecclesia being a tuner and reino being a water meant any hand with BIHS + a tear name could negate evenly. Every UR you spent will be useful in a bunch of other decks so it’s really no big loss.

Traptrix is stupid good in sealed
So much access to one for one removal. Even without Sera, this was always gonna be an uphill battle for a 5Ds archetype lol
Traptrix is just good. Theres a difference between deck not being meta and not being good. Traptrix inately in its concept is always good in any format, as blanking the normal summon has only recently stopped being a huge deal. theres formats where you could be playing a better decks, but its never a bad deck, its only better or worse relative to the format
Traptrix is just a very good deck in general. The only reason it isn't a higher tier deck is because it's not great going second and gets absolutely wrecked by Evenly Matched.
The reason it's better in sealed though isn't because people have to normal summon more like people think. It's because the deck's going second weakness can't be exploited because you can't really pop off with the "play by yourself" combos to set up insane boards on turn 1 that meta decks tend to have usually.

The odds of farfa Legit pulled a traptrix UR from outside the pack is crazy, especially one so useful for the deck
To be fair I could easily see him winning without it. He had pretty good opening when he could have been fucked by Mbt's luck and have only traps for 10 turns or only monsters for 10 turns.
It really didn't have any impact. The card is only really good for initiating combos, and without Sera they weren't possible. Had he pulled Sera, then the card would have been insane.

One thing I really appreciate about Doug is that he doesn’t touch drama, politics, NOTHING of the sort. He just does his thing and I really appreciate that about his channel.

Farfa complaining about no Sera pulling Pingu from outside the pack. Pingu is admittedly much much better with Sera but still a crazy good card
It really doesn't do shit without Sera. There's no card you can grab on the turn that you can summon now without Arachnocampa either.
It's a good card, but honestly Allomerus is probably better in sealed. Being able to steal a monster you just killed off with a trap is a game winning play in sealed.

@eljay7723 Allomerus has another effect that let's you detach to Special Summon a traptrix from the GY. The Icarus play always loses, too.

I have also seen Dyna Tank. Every time I have seen it was in a youtube video, where the person encountering it would remark: "this is not a card"
I love Roulette and Saga, and Farfa is always a joy to watch. But I have to admit, it seems like every episode recently with him has been "I have no time to play so here's a pile and I won't think or read" which hasn't been the most enjoyable viewing experience. I hope schedules open up more and we can return to good old "I have to play and I'll read my cards but still ignore them" Farfa gameplay soon.

I would have just played all copies of Reckoned Power in the deck on the offchance that it could work. I was really rooting for Doug and I think he had some good tools. Probably not enough to 100% beat Traptrix but he had a tiny bit of a chance.
Oh absolutely. He's already playing the "reveal to pop a monster"... destroying the entire backrow would be way better in most situations.

Aw man, the thumbnail made me think they were actually gonna play Charmers this week. Like seriously, you’ve played Assault Mode and have the VENOM pack still on there. At the very least, you should do a series at the end where you play all the low-power packs that were taken off the wheel.

Just fyi you can set the monster and force farfa to commit a monster which gives you a target or he goes to BP which lets you take out the trap and the monster anyways without exposing yourself. Tornado could have cleared the XYZ.

A little sad not to see Garunix(?) and circle of the fire kings, but that's a 2 card combo for only a 2700
Better then the temple of the kings but to be fair that combo is funnier and farfa wants to pull it off at least once so it will stay in the deck. Also temple is interesting with traptrick

I have a question I need help answering.
Can Stardust Warrior Negate the Summoning of Cosmic Blazar Dragon after cosmic used its effect to banish itself.
When Dzeef mentioned Duel Links it got me wondering if Links Roulette would be a viable thing to maintain. I haven't touched DL in ages but I vaguely remembered the boxes in that game being really expensive?
There's also character skills to consider as well...

@@zainsalmon4694 The japanese name of the archetype is Koakimeiru (which is what we call them too) but koa = core and kimeiru = combination of chimera and mail. So they could've at least went with Core Chimail.

Reckoned power only works if you start first? Are you sure about that? It's sealed traptrix without sera. You can survive at least 1 turn. You start second, set up some traps, reckoned power included, pass turn, eat the damage, then end phase you pop all the backrow and then you start playing.
Screw the analyzer, your only weakness was their backrow disrupting your normal summons, so 2 common crafts on more backrow hate, so you can have in the deck 3 reckoned, 1 cosmic, 2 common backrow hate cards and icarus attack.
Koaki meiru even back then was less a deck more individual type support lol.
