Love the longer vids. Shorts are ok but these are great! I really do hate how technical most phone reviews are as they aren’t really useful to your average consumer so hearing your practical perspective was nice!

i read an article that after using the pixel fold for 4 days, his device died. when close, the air gap inside the pixel fold is only 0.3 mm compare to oppo find n2’s 0.8mm. That miniscule of an allowance allowed a small debri to puncture the screen of his device. This design flaw is crazy for the price they are asking.
I think the dimensions and aspect ratio of the displays make this the best foldable so far. And the consistent home screens when open and closed is a big plus (unlike some people said).
I don't think people are mad about the home screen mirroring on the inside and outside because everybody have their own preference. But what bothers me at least is the fact they didn't give us the option to choose, which is a recurring theme for google software in recent years. Samsung for example gives you the option to choose if you want to mirror the screens or have 2 completely different home screens set ups which I prefer. This is android not ios. We want choice, and we want options
I found you randomly from an Instagram Reel, and you seem to make nice content, so you earned my sub. Also, thank you for making the IG Reel where you showed how to use a Samsung device as a Miracast WiFi display receiver, that's going to be very useful!
Realized the same with the Z fold 3. Found that I was using the cover display much more than the inside display. After I realized it I brought a S23 Ultra. Looking forward to getting the Pixel Fold.
The s pen It works very well to take "rare" notes: Write complex mathematical symbols, symbology in. Electrical engineering, civil engineering, chemistry, physics. On a normal phone keyboard it is impossible to type these symbols.
Without an s-pen silo for many of us the s-pen just adds bulk and inconvenience as you also need a bulky case. Also, the s-pen does not work on the front display, which for quick notes and such like, it makes it even less useful. I would just carry a proper tablet for pen support if you need it for work, more professional as well.
Google are trying to do what Apple did, and get devs to optimise the apps for tablets. What Samsung does is cheap and nasty, just stretching apps out and that is not a good long term solution. If Google did this, what does that say to devs, apart from Google does not care about you trying anymore for tablet apps? No, that is a bad and wrong solution. Android needs to up their tablet game and Samsung just hiding behind stretched apps is a poor take.
@@andyH_England Developers aren't going to worry about the tiny foldable segment. And I didn't think what Samsung did was bad at all. It would certainly be worlds better if the app was built for the Fold but it worked fine. Don't these apps have a "tablet version"? Does Instagram look horrible on Android tablets as well?
I want to get a flip and I was wondering, it almost looks like foldables dont fully open by like 2 degrees is that really the case and is it like that on the flip 4?
In the google reveal event they showed off some type of generative AI imagery... is that currently available on the fold? for example... show me a plant made of pepperoni pizza in the style of realism.
well they have some improving to do, the software is pretty much on point like on every pixel phone, the only thing i dont like about it is the screen shape, it could be a bit bigger and slimmer
The galaxy zfold is the perfect fold best in the market its the form factor thats lacking like your sorta getting a 4:3 mini iPad main display okay that gives it the mini tablet feel but its not good for watching videos, but the cover display kinda looks like a tv remote like imagine putting the galaxy zfold 4 folded to your ears it looks so weird like your using a tv remote as a play phone, and I know they are trying to make phones as slim but the phone is thick enough to fit an oversized toothpicks spen not as comfortable i agree but again give us the opition to get the fe sized spen as a seperate accesory while putting the spen inside the phone, eventually u get used to the oversized toothpicks
Android 14 is bringing many changes for foldable’s but we will have to wait a few months for those. I suspect those that claim the Pixel is behind the Fold4 in software will have second thoughts by then. A desktop mode is also coming in Android 14.
Most people use the inside screen. But the Z Fold Community we all wanted to have a usable front screen. I never used the front screen on the Z Fold 2, Z Fold 3, or Z Fold 4. Skipping Z Fold 5 because I want to give Google Pixel a try and sales to keep Competition alive. Maybe Google Pixel 2 will get it right if not I will go with the Z Fold 6 in 2024. I will Love this form factor better I can tell.

I wonder why Google can’t “force” the screen ratio on 3rd party apps… Samsung has successfully done this with their Z Folds.

The only issue I see is that the way it opens makes it harder to use a pop socket as a stand.
