My boyfriend and I did it together. We met two other skiers on the ascent and decided ski down with them as a team of four. The Emmons route is best for a ski descent!
Great video! Out of curiosity, roughly what time of day did you summit? Most videos I've seen show icy ski conditions up top, but it looks like your group had relatively good snow
Skiing roped-up would be damn near impossible. Also, I'm sure that they were only hiking as a rope team for the most technical and crevasse-dangerous sections. For the vast majority of the Rainier climb skiers will hike on skins.
@@tan6802 The summit is apparently not the most dangerous part... Part of the way down, have to take off skis for that section, where you could fall in and become a permanent resident/ ice cube.
that's so amazing! definitely on my bucket list of things to do! also great choice of music!
so badass!!!!
Awesome !!!
Super respekt guys!!!!!
Awesome! Did you go with a guided group or with friends? I'm looking into trying to ski it as well.

Fancy seeing you here...
5:30 Wooooooooooo!
Why music?
I just want to gear the wind, sound of skis on snow, and conversation.
I am a newbie. You’re roped up for the ascent, but not the descent. I don’t get it.
