  • Water is life! Water is, without a doubt, the most important resource to all living things. Natural waterholes and vernal pools are beneficial to all wildlife species and act as their own ecosystem, offering benefits and relief to frogs and salamanders, to deer, turkeys, bears, and everything in between. They become an instant attraction when implemented on your property and make for great trail camera locations, hunting set ups, a spot for a photography blind, or just general wildlife enjoyment and observation. They make for a great tool to introduce kids to the outoors and nature as well!

They're Danners! I'd look up their snake boots on their website.

So true. I have a 3/4 acre pond and it's got waterfowl in the Spring and Fall, frogs, fish, deer, turkeys and other critters. I love it.

That’s awesome Kurt! They create so much life and it’s so enjoyable to watch wildlife use them.

Do you need to fill in water or rain does all the job?

If there's good run off and it's sealed well (with a liner or bentonite) rain water is plenty enough and will hold water long into drought! I've filled mine up to "get them started" but have never had to fill them up because they ran dry.

I’m in Virginia as well at my water hole I put a fake floating alligator and set a camera… you should see all the animals creeping up and not knowing what it was. Hilarious 😂
