      I always play this for my lonely lill man.
      He belonged to my brother got injured a year ago as the others attacked him. He was going to kill him and my daughter said no she will get him back to health.
      His eyes were pecked out and he had splayed legs.
      2 weeks she hand fed him and after a month of leg exercises he was a new lill man.
      When bought him a 2 females and within 2 mintues they attacked him so we separated him again.
      We gave the girls to my brother.
      He's been living in his condo on his own ever since.
      He seems fine and absolutely adores my daughter but regardless they're social creatures and we feel bad for him.
      I seriously think my brothers option would've been better for the poor man.

      These were all born at home in an incubator, this was the last transitional brooder, before being released into a large aviary (check my other videos). They were still in the process of plumage change hence their look. They are still young and that is why they are able to cohabitate together. Once they are bigger, males in this space would be fighting with each other and not singing with each other

    you don't need special cartons to ship eggs. get that green foamy stuff for arranging flowers .. it depresses so you can put an egg in it .. place cotton or such over it. OR you get a regular egg carton (bet you have one!) put paper towel around each egg, tape, and cradle in each compartment of the egg carton. wrap carton, place in postal shipping box, mark 'LIVE EGGS' all over n dont ship when temps are cold at night. must arrive within 3 days for best luck (4 days from lay / quicker is better)

    • @DanDeeDee
      @DanDeeDee  Před 2 lety +1

      @@anirbankittu if you are having a community 2:1 ratio females to males would be okay. You do not want more males than females. The amount of space is also a factor. The smaller the space the bigger the probability of conflict between males. In a community they are not prone to breeding. If you want to breed 1:1. Check my other videos. I had a pair (Dan & DeeDee) that raised many chicks and what a wonderful experience to witness these small little creatures raising their young. I made an enclosure from a plastic container, about the size of a file box. The trick is to give them privacy. I accomplished this by putting in an artificial plant. Another suggestion just FYI (if you don't already), teach your quail to drink out of a hanging water bottle (the kind that has the little down hanging tube, usually metal with a little ball bearing inside at the end. It's so much more convenient and cleaner for them.
