Much appreciation for all of your videos. You seemed to have the teachings I've been looking for.
Thanks - happy to hear that! 😊
Thank you Justin!
Just found this channel in time because I needed to figure out how to record to text.
I almost paid for software but I didn't realize just how far the iphone has come at text to speech;
Or windows. God bless you man!
You're welcome, glad you found it here 😃
I use Otter a lot, and I’m extremely happy with the accuracy. Rather than use it live, I usually am uploading 15 or 30 minutes of some thing. The eight dollar plan gives a huge number of hours per month something like 50 or 60.
I’ve started using Descript for video editing. It blows my mind how simple editing is!
I've enjoyed a few of your videos so I trusted your input when I saw this one. As soon as I saw Otter, I thought yup, that's the super cool app I saw in a chat I once had which was so easily converted to text. Great program for transcribing a conversation, especially when voices are being criss-crossed, or when a guest has false starts when making a statement. Otter seems to split who is who quite well and the whole thing is pretty accurate. Such a time saver! :)
Awesome, glad you liked it - Hazel, PV Team
I'm on a MacBook with Monterey 12.6.5 and M1 Chip. None of your suggestions are viable for audio file transcription. Using Mac dictation will shut itself down as soon as the audio is clicked on. If using the free download of Word it doesn't have the mic icon for dictation. Google docs also doesn't have a "voice typing" option under tools or anywhere else for that matter. So, the ultimate question is do you know how to enable said Mac to transcribe audio files to TextEdit? Thanks.
Can it be useful for adding subtitles to a video??
A video which doesn't have subtitles and we can play it in the background for auto dictation?
First of all thank you for the very informative video!!
My question is,can I use Live Transcribe to do subtitles? I produce for a couple channels on here and one of my Creator's wants the subtitles typed out due to the video he is covering or covers usually holds horrible audio.
It literally took him 10 hours to type out subtitles in one of his first videos he uploaded.
I know there is software out there that can absolutely do subtitles, however I'm wondering if Live transcribe can do it?
Thank you so much for all your help.
really helpful, question, when using Temi in the editing stage are you charged for that time as well as the initial transcription
What do you do when you use WIndows+H and nothing happens? Speech Recognition is grayed out in settings and cannot be changed, however the control panel says the device (mic) is working properly. It works on an internet test, just not on my laptop. I don't use Chrome for the reasons I have trackers blocked, so that's out because I don't want Google reading my documents. It may be a registry problem, but I'd hate to reinstall Windows, I just got the laptop. HP, Ryzen 7, 64bg RAM, so it's not that it isn't up to date. All permissions are on. Any ideas? Thanks for the tips!
Woow you don't know how much time you've saved for me 😅 thanks a lot man and great video by the way ❤ wish u all the best Justin
Sounds great, you're welcome - Hazel, PV Team
Do you have in your video lists software for text to image? Wow, what a blast! on the workshop. Thank you. Wish you had a replay so I may go over again?
This is an excellent tutorial thank you so much for sharing your knowledge
So awesome to hear it! 😃
Very nice video. This is exactly what I was looking for!
Thanks, glad you liked it 😊 - Hazel, PV Team
Hi. I just posted my first youtube video today :-) English is not my native language so I decided talking audio would be a bit hard for me to start with. I used subtile text instead. Is that the recommended way to do it if you dont want to use voice and transcript, or do you have any other suggestions? Thank you for being an inspiration and covering such a variety of useful topics.
Congrats on uploading your first video. Yes, adding subtitles for the English-speaking audience would be helpful. 😊
Thank you . new here and good starter for this kind of video
I think kapwing (video editor) and Transkriptor (ai transcription) do a great job as well. Especially in Greek language which I need.
Do any of these options need speakers only? Or also works with headphones? I needed to transcribe someone else talking on the other side of the meeting
This app may transcribe the you tube shorts, videos ,WHILE ON PLAY on Android any setting available in this app let me know plz???
Hi - I can't capture the youtube voice to notepad by pressing wind+h. Can you help?
On descript how do I get the script written in another language to line up with the English video ?
I have a question do are you transcribers have the knowledge and the tools to enhance the recording that they are transcribing to get the best quality possible?
Love the video. Is this the way you add your captions to all your videos. Perhaps I'm not identifying it correctly, but I'd like to add the reading text to the videos as you have in yours. Is that called adding "captions" to video and how exactly is that done. Would love to see that. Thanks as always great content.
Justin Am planning to study video editing. And my budget is 1300$. And with that money I can buy macbook air m2 8gb ram and 256gb storage. Should I buy this macbook or is there any better option from windows or mac
Great video. Thank you. Is it possible to take an audio file and feed it through apple dictation?
Is there a way to save preset phrases and have them typed by saying 1 word?
So I did all the steps in temi to transcribe a video of mine with time stamps and it finishes so I download and try to open it and it says file cannot be opened right now. Has anyone else had the same problem?
I use Dragon Professional. I was first introduced to it by author Joanna Penn when I was writing my book. It's fairly expensive but a one time purchase.
Thank you So much for sharing the Information.
You're welcome - have a great day! - Hazel, PV Team
I appreciate your effort to make this video, can you make a video on how to remove text from a video? Thank you
Thanks in a million. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are a great resource!!
Thank you so much! - Hazel. PV Team
HELP! I need a transcription service for LEGAL videos (depositions and trials). Accuracy is IMPERATIVE, but videos can be long (and therefore, expensive). What would you suggest?. Should I bypass AI altogether and go for a human review? Should I use the less expensive Temi, have its AI spot the "orange words," and then have my staff correct those for an acceptable level of improved accuracy? I really like the "orange word" idea, so every word does not have to be reviewed! Do any other programs have that feature? Hope to hear from you soon!
Wow! it's Amazing I did it well ! Perfect work !
That's great - well done! 😃
Hi. Thanks for sharing this very informative videos. If I may ask, this Otter can record the video conference diacussion as well? Thanks.
I'm sure the info will be on their website, but I'm pretty sure it's just audio

Which one is the best or easiest one to use to interpret in real time??
I was using Google translator which is too annoying, but thanks Justin for letting me know I was doing right thing but on wrong platform.
I do not have Voice Typing as an option on my Google Docs....why is that?\
great video, thank you
You're welcome, glad you liked it 👍 - Hazel, PV Team
Justin ji 🙏🏻
Very helpful for me for making my work smart .

Justin, which one would you think is best to transcribe vídeo/audio to text but all in Spanish? (I know, I know. I'm just asking because you know a lot about video :)
Sorry mate, I haven't looked in to them for different languages unfortunately.
@@PrimalVideo Hopefully you grow so much that Spanish is also covered. Happy to help in such a case. 😉
@@MrGheller have you found sth useful for spanish? (also my problem is that i have audios with both languages being spoken alternatively)
@@micamaik503 sth??
@@MrGheller ahhhh! Sth is a way to abbreviate, shorten, the word something
Thanks bro
You're welcome!
What I miss is a reliable tool for listening to people speaking in online or off-line meetings (asking permission), and in different languages and then transcribing the feed and preferably make it instantly copyable, not saving it first. This is slightly different than dictation. Why aren’t there any tools specifically dedicated to this? I’ve searched extensively, but found nothing or people simply misunderstand the situation and point me solely to transcription software. Online you preferably access the audio feed internally and not via a microphone. Otter can do this, but only for English.
On a PC this is not setup by default, just like a Mac you must set it up first.
Once you do, it works very well.

You are enormous. Just heard you again on this subject.
Thanks - Hazel, PV Team
Great information
Nice - glad you liked it! 👍
But those apps only uses in English language only😢 I try to convention to my own language "Hausa" Doest work clearly..
thanks for this;)
You're welcome - Hazel, PV Team
Nice video. Would love more focus on translations. I'm from Denmark and it's pretty much only Google and Descript that's really up for THAT task. Otter looks GREAT - but it's English only.
Thanks - hope it works out for you! 👍
So helpful
So glad it helped, Lisa 😊 - Hazel, PV Team
How do you get the text punctuated?
im currently learning the german language and im trying to find an app or a software, which can give the opportunity to convert an audio (from a podcast for example or a tiktok video) to a text. i have already try a few, but they don't work when it comes to fast speaking...
any of the recommended softwares on the video can work for what i ask? in general any syggestions would be very helpful 🙂
Did You find anyone bro

Can you do a Text to Audio or go over the various narration options out there? It looks like you haven't covered this before?
Its not something we’ve covered yet, but take a look at Descript!
There is a difference between transcribe and dictate; they are not identical, as you are eluding. Your video is for dictating.
Nice & Thanks :)
That's all right 😊
I have a question that I been trying to find and no one has made a video about it. So I will like to kindly request you to make a video about it.
What will happen if you reach 4 000 Watchtime and you have over 10K Subbies and you chose not to monetize your videos through CZcams Ads.
You even go as far as not adding any links in your descriptions as you aim to earn through your videos using CZcams Premium accounts when they view your videos.
Hope this make sense:
Simply this mean, you do qualify for monetization but you do not want Ads and you do not want to send people out side CZcams. You want your followers to engage in CZcams and stay in CZcams. So you use CZcams Premium to earn and the CZcams Join to earn, is that a good solution. Can you break down the merits and demerits of this strategy
Yes, but how do you have it so that when you are talking in an Instagram reel that you just have your like what you’re saying written on the screen
There’s an instagram sticker to add captions
Hi man how your day going
Idk if anyone had any ideas but I’m looking for a speech to text setup for a live presentation. A presenter who is has a wireless mic on them standing at a podium presenting a slide show to an audience. We record these presentations both video and audio and just looking for an optimal way to get live text in let’s say a word document that can be shared as the presenter is talking in real time. I know about Apple and windows dictation features but I’m not sure what would be best for live presentation in my example.
The problem with all of these apps and web sites is that they don't recognize any other source of audio, except your mic. So, if I'm having a conversation with a person, IDK, maybe via Skype or Zoom, it won't recognize other people's voices. So, it's not that useful.
I love Descript, I use it all the time, although it can be time consuming (I guess it doesn'r speak Yorkshire lol). I am also going to try out Rev next time.
i REALY APPRECAITED DE VALUES
Thank you, Russellson - Hazel, PV Team

What about linux?
what about Linux ?
Translation to Japanese and back would be interesting. I have a handful of Japanese friends on Facebook, when they post or comment in Japanese, the translations are mostly unintelligible.
Yes, dear people, I hope you healthy
Mandatory 3:11 ad up front - quite a premium to pay just to hear this update,
Not sure if you have any control over this or not.
I'm back in the US and tried again. No long, mandatory ad. Perhaps it was just because I was in the UK?
I just found out that you can easily transcribe your recordings by using the "Dictate" function in Microsoft office word.
Cool 😎 - Hazel, PV Team
What about Linux users?
some of these web based options should work fine
Amberscript is best for German Language, if any interested here.

davinci resolve does NOT have this... not happy Justin!
all is advertizment of different programme.
Those are dictation tools not transcription tools.
Dude. Seriously. Is there NO OFFLINE software application, a stand alone software application, ONE TIME FEE!, and bam, you download your software and off you go? I do not want to pay a per minute rate, either one time or monthly. I just want to download the application like Microsoft Word, or whatever, use the product for how it is designed, import my video, select subtitles, and then output the transcription. This whole BS where all of the entities seem to be in collusion with paying exorbitant fees for some thing so simple that I can do using a voice recorder and Microsoft Word, or Google Docs, is ridiculous.
Please help if you know of an offline stand alone software application that will transcribe videos. Thanks
P.S. I have literally about 3 terrabytes of video, and probably 4000 hours of independent audio to transcribe. So, obviously I can't sit around and wait for my phone or recorder to play back a video while Google docs transcribes. And I am not going to pay close to $20,000 for a transcription service.

Hello, i am actually building a softaare for the same that can ve helpful. We can get in touch to get more inputs from u kn the requirements, thanks !
Teme at $15 per hour of transcription is a rip off.
I'd rather have a cap per month and then pay for any additional time needed at a reasonable rate.
I transcribe 8-12 hours per week and this would add up fast.
Hey. Iam building an offline software thaf could bw useful esp. for doing unlimited transcriptions. We can get in touch to get your inputs and requirements thanks !
otter is only for English oO
You missed every Linux option.
Opp
It would've been nice if you could've just taken 20 seconds to tell us how we go about uploading the transcript. Otherwise very good video.
Thanks for the feedback - Hazel, PV Team
That way to find out to Mr beast
Im I'm douche I use a app then run text through a ai for grammar lol free money.
