An adorable scene from "Don't Look Back" (1967, D. A. Pennebaker) where Bob sings Hank Williams' "Lost Highway" and "So Lonesome I Could Cry". I own nothing.
He said that Like a Rolling Stone was inspired by this hank williams song, so i'm pretty sure when he is typingy on his typewriter in the movie right before this song he is writing like a rolling stone
Does anyone know what chords Dylan is using on Lost Highway? I think he's using E major at the start but then the camera turns away from his left hand. Also which flatpicking bass note fills is he using on this? I'm a beginner guitar player and would love to play this the way Dylan plays it. I've seen this song played with G,D and A. Also C,F and G. But I'm certain Bob's using E major.
e a b7, f a# c7, g c d7,g# c# d#7, a d e7... pick a key and go my man! the blues, folk, and early country any song you want it's the sweet spot of chord progression... fuck write one; speed it up its punk and will never die. Thank God
No voice, no original, memorable melodies. Just very plain music with some lyrics that appealed to some people. Nobel prize for literature? Do they read any thing or is it their liberal conscience that colors their judgement in an area that should be completely apolitical. If you disagree, and I hope you do, poop on you.
Thank God for your folk music music 🎶🎶 my heart and love 💕 Elizabeth

" last verse is like a rolling stone." Reminds of a song Dylan had not yet written.

Geez this is the most prophetic thing ever coming from a 1960s revolutionary icon like Bob Dylan.
Dylan is a HUGE Hank Williams fan and I am a huge fan of both these geniuses!
Bob sings Hank, two all time greats.
His soul is very musical. And verbal.
He nailed that hi note in "I'm so LONEsome I could cry" ☝🏼👌🏼
Austin Holland the only time I’ve heard Dylan not nail a note is in the last waltz, one of the “I shall be released” lines his “I” is an insane squeak
@@RandomEarthCinema Common, he misses so many notes.
Wonderfully imperfect ... This is the way that Dylan make it .
.............The two iconic songwriters cross paths.............So cool.
This is historic! Imagine being in the room!

That is how you kill a Hank Williams tune. Probably the worst singer I have ever heard.
+OldJoeClarke Ok, now fuck off
OldJoeClarke How do you know i'm a baby?
Bob Dylan is a great singer, you need a slap bitch.
+tubbythug92 Are you tone deaf as well as stupid? That attempt at a song was just noise, a really bad noise.
+Rolling Stone Someone squeaking through his overly large proboscis and being given a god like status, you are damn right I don't get it.
