Boats thrown all along the shore in Abaco, homes either significantly damage or destroyed. Groups of people huddled up in the homes that aren't completely destroyed waiting for relief with no way to leave the island.
SORRY FOR ALL THOSE THAT PASSED, MAY YOU ALL REST.
SAD
Iam so SORRY Bahamas that you have to go through such devastation😞.I'll keep you in my prayers.there are no words to describe what you all endured and or have to now deal with the aftermath of this horrible storm.may God bring you all comfort and peace in this difficult time AMEN.I sure hope that people are there(and more coming)to help Bahamas.may God bless you all!
Thank you on behalf of all the people there
The cruise ship industry should help by sending aid and even ships to house people.
God help the people affected by this storm.
I agree. For the money they've made off the Bahamas destination with their cruises it would be good karma.
That might work near Freeport or Andros, but not Abaco. Insufficient depth. It's not called MARSH Harbour for nothing.
They are all pledging money.
@@karlarps9878 How can people help? Air drop supplies? Infastructre doesn't seem to exist anymore. Back to the Pioneer days for the survivors.
That is a great idea. Why aren't they doing that?
It doesn't get much worse than that. Those poor people.
0:13 I have NEVER seen a spud barge of that size, with equipment on deck, capsize from a storm. That is absolutely insane... godspeed to their recovery.
Prayers to the people of the Bahamas.
A video of Hope Town & Elbow Cay, Man-O-War, Scotland Cay. The video cuts back and forth but I believe the following time/locations to be correct.
0:00 - 0:50 - Man-O-War harbour
0:50 - 1:20 - Hope Town Settlement
(1:15 - 1:18 The brave, strong, amazing people of Hope Town!)
1:22 - 1:42 - Man-O-War Eastern harbour
1:43 -2:09 - Elbow Cay North End and Hope Town Harbour entrance.
2:10 - 3:18 - Elbow Cay White Sound & start of South End
3:18- 3:45 - Elbow Cay South End to Tiloo Cut
3:46 - End - Scotland Cay
Is that the schooner W. Albury at :11?
Can you even imagine how those poor people feel, when they see a helicopter flying over? Put yourself in their shoes. When they hear one, they think helps coming. How sad it must be for them to see it fly away!
I'd be thinking "Damn, maybe I should have only built a million dollar house and spent the rest on a helicopter, then I could leave too!" 🤔
As you can see there’s really nobody left on the island. Keep in mind some people want to remain on the island to rebuild what they had.
I was flying that helicoptor and I flicked a couple of half smoked cigarettes out the window for em.
@@samstarr7766 , That was you...Can you send Newports next time??
Kathy Carver I was just saying that😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 mi nooa they’re saying “people don’t care bout wi”
The US Coast Guard is on site, saving lives!
Prayer going up for Bahamas 🙏🙏🙏👍
Do you have any video before this video started? I would like to see further North.
Heartbreaking to see my homeland like this, but thank you.
There are many videos out there, both North and South. We are sending supplies to get their houses habitable, at least temporarily. The few houses that are habitable are shared by many families. I have spoke via Sat phone. They are tough but took a heck of a beating. There are two Satellite phones on the island, very bad reception. The sick and infirm have been evacuated. No phones, internet, electricity. Around a dozed boats are usable over 100 were sunk. Most docks are gone. This was an extreme storm. In all Man O Wars history, they never lost a home due to a hurricane. They like build the strongest homes in the world, all threw bolted from peak to foundation. Some older homes date back to the 1800s. Had this storm hit the Jersey Shore like the tropical storm a few years back, I cannot imagine the deaths and distruction. Please pray for all the injured and missing in all of North Bahamas.
I appreciate your commentary as of course that soon into it we were not clear though of course I imagined it was very very bad, so sad for everyone
May Yah restore all of you, in His Faith, that you never need fear, again!
😭😭😞😞 I pray for everyone affected
Is there more of the footage from Scotland Cay? Specifically on the Guana Cay end of the island. Thank You.
love and healing sent out there to all the people and animals wild life too.
Painful to watch. My heart is bleeding for this amazingly beautiful place
Please see the latest post. Thank you
@Andievo4U2 please see the latest post, Thank you
My brother's house is somewhere in all that wreck. Praying for u all. God will see u through
Seascape house is GONE! My heart is breaking. Devastating. Prayers for anyone or anything with a beating heart.
Live along the coast. Or in the middle of the ocean. This is what has happened since the beginning of time. Mother nature! So sad.
Do you have more footage of the settlement? My grandmother's house was just out of the shot after the post office dock. Just trying to get a visual for her. If you've got footage of the houses between the post office dock and the lodge, I would love it. Thank you!
God be with your family’s 🙏
Any aerial video on Freeport yet?
Is this all Abaco, or is at least some of this from Elbow Cay / Hopetown?
CinemaDemocratica i believe most of it is elbow cay, from north to south. It looks like our house, close quarters, has survived.
Oh I feel so bad for Hope Town. :/
Alot of those homes are very expensive, block well built homes. Totally destroyed. This hurricane was a beast. I'm glad it's staying away from my orlando area home
@Michael Randolf Um, ok happy breathing
@Michael Randolf Just comment the same thing over and over again please.
Alot of the structures are still standing and can rebuilt...
These people I know well, great builders, they will rebuild, this storm is the second strongest in history, 5mph under the strongest
one mighty storm
The world as we know it is coming to an end.
Yes indeed these are PERILOUS Times ....
Heartbreaking 😢
Indeed. May God replaces what He has taken ..... be patient
Any news on treasure?
Just now seeing this particularly detailed horrific video that brings tears, so hard to watch, and we knew the truth as it was happening that very night/days and now everyone must see reality, and why we all belong there helping in every possible way
Excellent footage. Great to see living people walking, waving ... now just have to get them some relief.
How and where do u start to pick up the pieces after this?.total destruction.god bless all.
The same way Japan did after the tsunamis. Takes a lot of work and effort, but they will do it in time. God bless.
The resources Japan could bring to bear dwarf what is available to the Bahamas. Without massive international aid, the tourist driven economies of the abacos will take many years to recover.
In reality we know the rebuild won’t happen. This is the start of this devastation along the east coast. This is to help bring in the NWO with a huge cost to lives, lifestyle and income. I sure pray for justice against those who control the weather. This storm is engineered
@@rexierabbit3280 Hurricanes are far different the. Tsunami's....
They could get hit again by the end of the month
@@Lisaj4431 Dear Lisa, these are very hard working families. Man O War Cay is full of innovative Christian Individuals who build fine hand crafted native boats, carpentry, hand crafted furniture, homes and they are not reliant upon tourists. With our help, they will self repair within 18 to 20 months, this is not their first hurricane, it is however by far the worst to hit any where. It is the second strongest hurricane in history, 5 mph less than the strongest. Gusts to 235 mph estimated.
2:03. Where are the former colonists? Abaco needs help!
Mr. D needs help to get to Nassau the Capital of the Bahamas where they have plenty of Hotel rooms to house those that lost their homes.
@@peterepoet2535 , this reminds us of Hurricane Katrina. Where New Orleans had been devestated and the government response to aide the poor has been slow.
Like a war zone🙏
We need to get in there and help those people we need to get them off that Island there's nothing there for them God have mercy
Let’s start with the most important step: prayers to the Lord Jesus.
@@stevecoyle1 already been done here on this end
Good, continue.
@@stevecoyle1 Prayer is useless. God is useless. GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO SOMETHING.
wow that huge house swamped and blew off its foundation, on its side. at 3:03...
YahshuaLovesMe that's what I was going to comment on! How does that even happen??
YahshuaLovesMe no, wave action on top of storm surge of 15 to 20 feet for 30 hours, beat the shit out of everything, not the wind.
What is the Bahamian version of the Cajun Navy, and how do we fund their supply chain? South Florida can handle the volume. Boats communicate by VHF, every one of them has a generator, in addition to capacity for cargo, passengers, and fuel.
Last days critical time's hard to deal with!
Alright arrogant
So sad sending prayers 😢
Oh wow Brett, you done it again honey. Going out worrying, thinking of other people, risking your like as well if all you do is spread a love dureing these heartbreaking times. All of our towns dureing florence would definitely never compare to what these people are experiencing but I still remember when you came out by all of our towns. I live in Scotland county and I remember you going to alottttt of places dureing that time. I cant remember.....i think Lumberton.....a few places. I think. I was trying to find those old videos. Please be safe on your journeys and I always keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Truly heartbreaking.... understatement
Can you be more specific as to which island(s) in the Abaco chain this video is? Tx
Xavier Quinones looks like Marsh Harbor
@@johnnyhayhurst196 I noticed some Elbow, Scotland at the end but wasn't sure what island it was at the beginning. Thanks
@@flyinglightsport9911 all of the first part of the video was(edit) MOW then Elbow Cay starting about half way form the North End through the settlement and the harbor. Then it Jumps to White sound all the way down to the south to Tilloo Cut then the video seems to Jump to Scotland Cay and teh Runway looks like its in one piece
@@chuckbarnes5825 First 50 seconds is MOW harbour.
These are the most graphic and disturbing images I’ve seen yet of the devastation inflicted by Dorian on Elbow Cay and the other outer islands. Footage starts in Man O War, then continues to the North End of Elbow Cay (0:50) followed by Hopetown Harbor and the downtown. It then follows along the (western) Sea of Abaco side of the island to White Sound, the South End and Tahiti Beach. There’s no footage of the eastern shore from the downtown to White Sound. Final images are of Scotland Cay.
Wow 😮
Word on Facebook is that the animal shelter on Abaco was also wiped out. Incredibly sad situation.
The dogs were all moved beforehand apparently so they are all safe
Moved to where?
@@marioharris0680 they said that on their fb page. I don't know where as they didn't list a place.
@@marioharris0680 there are places on the hill a quarter mile South. All dry. Wind blown in the extreme though
@@Ravenskyes48 man o war community page
the entire island looks demolished, so sad.
70% severe damage
I'm surprised you guys weren't on the ground to catch the before, during and aftermath of Dorian. You might have caught some award winning documentary footage. Pray for my country. 242 to the world 🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸
Wow this is terrible hope they can recover
Their gov't charged them 75.00 a person to take them off of the island. They have no food or water. Only what the U.S.. gave.
Disgraceful
More funds from International help. Not US
Another update. Many wives children and men have been evacuated as oof today Saturday September 7 2019... very serious... Marsh Harbour evacuated, a very lot of deaths there. Few numbers released as of today. Catastrophic event.
I hope yall are dropping supplies and sending rescue boats..
Yes, lots of things have started. Today a barge arrived from Spanish Wells. Good folks
Are you?
Please post the full footage of the video. We would love to see the other parts of Elbow--- if our house made it. Thank you
Sarah Linder it all looks pretty destroyed... sending prayers
So sad to see the devastation. There are people who live here that are trying to make a living. Tourists only care about their vacations! These residents need our help and prayers!
This hurricane Dorian pack outrageously strong wind , and strong winds and water moves everything in its way ...... I live through a few tropical storms & Hurricanes, But nothing like this......I have ever seen....where I am from.....
Muy triste!
Oh my that island is practically in the ocean
This is a very sad situation to witnessed. Mother nature ain't playing.
Shellyman Studios This is not mother nature. This is a result of their geoengineering programs.
Russ Redfern#16 🙄
Shellyman Studios There's plenty of information about geoengineering. It's been going on for several decades. I use to do work for NOAA and NWS. I knew something in the mid 1990's 1995 to be exact. I'm not going to explain on here it would take too much time.
@@russredfern167 How do you explain 85 degree water temps??
Russ Redfern#16 I used to think that the idea was crazy, but I'm starting to agree after doing some research.... shit is scary.
At 3:02 to 3:12 is that house on it's side! Good Lord!
Yes, the house was picked up whole on South Elbow Cay. Not build by MOW carpenters. Not bolted to the footer, I would guess.
Military landing vehicles should be brought out.
I'd bet most of those fiberglass boats are salvageable.
😢MUY TRISTE. RECUERDO AL HURACÁN MARÍA QUE FUE DESTRUCTIVO EN NUESTRA ISLA 🇵🇷.😭
Some boats made it!
Check 4:04
Raised up high on lifts
A house of pain .
So sad....
They have a long road ahead of them....🤦🏾♀️🙏🏾😭
Why on earth would anyone live so close to the ocean, it's like daring Mother Nature to strike.
Why weren't they evacuated b4 the storm hit?
ThEY had Warnings. They didn't have anywhere else to Go.
prayers :(
0:00 to 0:50 is Man of War Cay. I can't recognise anything else.
Abaco Inn, the docks, Sea Spray...😭
Gone unfortunatly.. I liked those places
could see having a summer home there but never would want to live there full time year round.
That's why I would never live on the hill with water at when I was young Matt Dingle I'll move far away from here
with the kind of winds reported, velocities of 220mph, THERE SHOULD BE NOTHING LEFT. I think we was lied to about the wind speeds in the Bahama's, just as we was lied to when Dorian went up the East coast of the US. MOO.
Streets cleaned up awfully fast ,given the amount of destruction.
Probably just that the water ran things over them easily. Things get hung up on complex terrain, not flat.
Yes, the residents clear degree quickly for any needed medical rescue, none needed on MOW.
The paradise now is hell ... unfortunately
Not for long, we will rebuild.
The place is wrecked. What a catastrophe !
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💙
We need start sending boats to these people soon.
Hope everyone is fine, I hope you can make home out of cement this time, much more strong.
No it really, cement or concrete is strong but wood used properly flexes. No houses lost in any of the multitude of hurricane to hit. This is the first homes down. I have witnesses many concrete block homes distorted in lesser storms. Thanks, say a prayer for all the survivors, no deaths, no injuries on Man O War.
Wow
Tbm, as pessoas moram praticamente dentro do mar! Quer o que?
Does anyone else find it especially tragic that only the wealthiest homes appeared to have survived.
that's all hedge fund money in point of fact. billions upon billions actually. "no quarter given..
Such a tragedy.
@@annasummers5348 the other Doolittle was just in the Abacos. Total dicks out there. Was glad he came home alive.
@@georgedoolittle9015 bull crap, most homes are local folks working hard on MOW CAY. The local carpenters and contractors build for anyone. But a lazy crook departs quickly
ay padre celestial pero es que eso era de esperarse en un lugar asi en medio agua y sin montañas mas la magnitud del uracan, las casa demasiadas cercas del agua no es para menos. Que lamentable
That's where P.J
And, his 3 children got washed away ~~~♡♡♡ ~~~ He saved his wife. Then went into the WATER, for the 3 children!!!
Not one tree left standing...let alone buildings. Looks like trees been pounded into ground.
I wonder what the impact will be on insurance companies.
Were there,people in that HOUSE?????
They're going to have to re-chart that whole island now.
Any time I watch Bahamas Life reruns on HGTV and they show folks buying property in Abaco and surrounding keys I feel sorry for them because little do they know what is soon to come.
Not really anywhere to land.
Soon Treasure Cya airport will open, Sandy Cya airport to the South is open... Marsh Harbor will open soon for emergencies and military. USAID is getting started.
Not as bad as I first imagined. Perhaps rebuilding is possible.
They will rebuild, I will... It is very special as the people are. Honest, strong and good down to their toes.
@@DC-uo5hy You do know that it will happen again, my mom lives in midwest, tornado ally, she finally moved after her second home was destroyed.
Are you high?? How much worse can it get?? Most of the houses that are still standing were flooded to their roofs, so whatever was inside is ruined. There are dead bodies everywhere, the people there say you can smell them constantly. No food, no water, no electricity, no internet, no gas, barely any shelter.... Yeah I don't see how it could be much worse
Is anyone going to rescue those poor stranded people that i saw in this video???
The coast guard has a list of individuals to evacuate. Sick, elderly, women, and children first. Efforts are underway but it is all but impossible to get boats in the area (because of the debris and sunken boats in the harbors, plus no place to tie off), so I believe that most evacuations are taking place with helicopters currently.
@@ModernSpinster Ok . Thanks for the info.
Che devastazione. Sembra cambiato anche l'aspetto fisico dell'arcipelago, zone intere sommerse... E la (poca temo) popolazione sopravvissuta? Come fanno ad andare avanti? Una catastrofe per gli esseri viventi e per le terre!
Beyond first wave aid, I should probably make a donation of lots of concrete. If they stay there they will need it.
If you were to go there
You can smell the bodies
Any word on how Deep Water Cay fared?? I really miss the $110 per person dinners there...not!
Wish we could let them know that we know what has happened to them! Love prayers supplies and money are coming!
I think many folks are aware at this point. According to various FB pages that are communicating with parts of Abaco via sat phones, US Navy ships are currently anchored off of MOW Cay, and Coast Guard and other helicopters have made contact. Freeport likely has similar updates now that there's some internet service and some folks are still on generators and in touch with the outside. Fortunately, supply lists of needs were being shared as early as Monday, but the weather hasn't been favorable for boats to get in and dock. Apparently seas are flat calm as of earlier today, with some sun.
Today is Friday after the storm, the residents already cleaned the streets of Man O War, supplies are already starting to trickle in. NEMA Bahamas FEMA is slowing down direct shipments to these islands from the US. They want all to go through customs inspection in Coolers Town or Sandy Point first. They want of vessel and goods confiscation. This from Bahamas Customs in Nassau
There is absolutely nothing left!!.. I feel so bad have they ate do they have clean water to drink! Is anyone helping them! It's sad there waving at the helicopter 😭😭
Scotland Cay starts at 3:46 > end
Where will they put all that debris? No land fills.
Fire for the degree and garbage until the trash facility reopens on Abaco
