  • Watch Brian aka Dr Shave take off two days worth of growth effortlessly with the Outlaw Stainless Steel Double Edge Safety Razor! Is this the best safety razor, ever made? We'd say so.
The Outlaw meets market demand for a high quality, machine-tooled, stainless steel razor that delivers a closer shave than a standard type DE razor, such as the Merkur 34C or Muhle R89 safety razor. with a larger blade gap of 0.72mm, wider and lower profile head, the Outlaw is a razor that gets the job done in one or two passes. The Outlaw is for men who want a fuss-free, close shave.
The Outlaw benefits from a low-profile head making shaving under the nose and sideburns easy! Made from 100% machine-tooled stainless steel, the Outlaw is built to last.
Get rid of ANY skin irritation with the Outlaw Safety Razor, including razor bumps, ingrown hairs, redness and more!

Learned how to shave with a safety razor thanks to this man. 4+ years later and I've saved hundreds of dollars (and ingrown hairs) thanks to him.
Thank you, Brian. Glad to see you're still innovating. Been using a 34C ever since but this Outlaw Stainless has me seriously considering switching. Sadly it appears to be out of stock now. (And if only there was U.S. distribution!)

Hello from Antalya, Turkey Brian. A friend of mine from Edinburgh has just come over for some dental treatment at our clinic and he's brought me The Outlaw to try for 6 months. I shave with it last night 28/2/2023. All I can say is WOW. I thought it might have been like my Game Changer .84 but it's totally different. It's way more efficient. The audio feedback you get from The Outlaw tells you where every whisker is. I wish I could buy one over here. At least I've got one for 6 months. Great product.

I found that best for me with Polish "Wizamet W-11" set to 3rd position is shaving first all against the grain, second with the grain and grand finale against the grain. For foam production I use liquid grey soap "BiaƂy jeleƄ"(White stag). Perhaps one pass would be suitable for daily sharing but I shave when hairs get at least 5mm long that is 5-7 days interval.

6:36 "take too long to shave with a safety razor...." it may be that some are not comfortable and are less efficient...fair enough, however it's part of the whole 'raison d'ĂȘtre'...it's an experience. Does this brand have faster shipping or cheaper if it is inside England? I am planning an upcoming trip to visit my sister over there so I was thinking I could get an Outlaw set.
I never used a safety razor before, at first I was using those normal razors and as I grew to dislike them as I would always get burns so I just switched to machine shaving.
For a period I didn't shave and just grew by beard as I have an enviable one, coming from my peers, and only trimming it every now and then. Eventually I cut it to zero and thought I'd keep it down with the machine BUT I always wanted to try out a safety razor as those seemed to give you more control.
Got to try them out form my friend and I got no burns and no cuts so I decided that I'm eventually going to switch myself from machine to safety razor.

Hello Mr Bryan, could I ask you a suggestion? I've got a sensitive skin but a really coarse and hard beard. Currently the best combo it's shaving after a hot shower, with a good lather and the best razor it's the Mulhe R89 with a Personna Platinum blade. I would like to buy a stainless steel razor and I'm not sure if this version it's too aggressive (I tired the Ikon B1 slant and the Maggard V3A that for me are too aggressive) and so it's better to switch to the mild version of the Outlaw (but I've got also a Feather AS-D2 and... sometimes I feel it's too mild). So could I consider it an efficient but not aggressive razor (more or less like the Mulhe R89) or should it be better to choose the milder version?

    • @ExecutiveShaving
      @ExecutiveShaving  Pƙed 3 lety +2

Hello Davide, I hope you are well?
Go for The Mild Outlaw - this is a closer shaving razor than the R89 and the AS-D2.
Once you get to grips with it, you will only need 2 passes and that is good, fewer passes is better for the skin.

Is there such a thing as a 2-piece safety razor where you spin the entire handle to fasten the blade rather than just the bottom part of it?

Yes, the Merkur 37c and 39c are good examples.

@@ExecutiveShaving No, on those you only spin the botton part of the handle. I'm looking for one where you spin the entire handle.

I see. My father, who's 78, claim to have owned and used one for most of his life, one that used to belong to his father. So it was very old. Now that razor is gone and so I bought him a Merkur 39C to replace it. Unfortunately, being so used to his old razor, and having reduced eye sight, he made the mistake of feeling the handle (which was firm) and then proceed to shave. Of course the blade was loose after cleaning the razor after his last shave. He didn't notice until he started feeling the burn. He had cut himself over large areas of his face. It was an early birthday gift and this happened on his birthday, only an hour or two before his guests arrived. I was very sad to find out this happened. Hopefully he will not make the same mistake twice, but I figured having a razor more similar to his old one would reduce the risk further. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to reply.

@@viperracing2889 That was such a a shame what happended to your father. Only two months or so ago, my handle came loose (my fault for not tightening it up after changing the blade) and I nicked my skin. Thankfully I saw right away what I had done and apart from one nick I was OK but lesson learned.

Andrew - you'll get the same results from a OneBlade, this shave like a cartridge razor but delivers a much more comfortable shave, these razors have a pivoting head - NO CUTS! Read more here: www.executive-shaving.co.uk/oneblade-razors-comparison
