I smoked 2 days before my knee surgery, not realizing the effects it may have on my anesthesia. I was scared and went 1 full day without marijuana. On surgery day, I spoke to my orthopedic surgeon and the anesthesiologist; they both assured me that it wouldn't be a problem. My anesthesiologist literally shrugged it off and said, "eh, it shouldn't have a big effect."
I am sharing my experiences to hopefully ease the nerves of my fellow 420 pre-OP friends. This was my 3rd surgery. I will be getting another surgery soon.
Edit: Today, I had had my 4th and hopefully last ever surgery on my knees. I stopped smoking 3 days before surgery and had no issues with anesthesia. You will be fine if you stop a few days before surgery (:
I tore my MCL in high school, then ACL in college playing football. ACL reconstruction failed and had to be repaired; this alone required 2 surgeries due to tunnels from original surgery being too large.

Guys I smoked weed up until literally 12 hours before my surgery (only because I wanted to get 8 hours of sleep and then 4 hours worth of time for getting up and going to the surgery. I told the surgeon before and he said that the only problem is they have to use more anesthesia so as long as youâre ok with that itâs all good đđ»

I can't speak of major surgery because I had minor surgery. Gallbladder removed. Got taken to my knees one day from sudden pain. Went to the ER and needed to stay the night because I needed it removed asap in the morning. I went home smoked 2 huge joints went back And had my surgery later on that day. Everything was prefect. Discharged myself 6 hrs later. Went straight home and blazed up. I don't take any pills of any kind. Just don't like them. Helped with the pain.

I smoked like 6 backwoods the day before surgery and smoked one at midnight to sleep. And woke up fine and surgery was smooth, everything went good and I smoked 24 after surgery and been smoking since then everyday. Itâs been 10 days and I smoked like 3-4 backwoods I think today and m about to roll one in a bit. Donât worry about long as you donât pull hard ur fine. Doc just say that to not make you smoke. I smoked a lot and m fine

I just had my appendix removed because I had acute appendicitis I smoked about 2 days before the surgery and all went fine. I woke up with about a 3/10 on the pain scale and hasnât hurt much since. I smoked about 6 hours after the operation and so far it has helped reduce some of the pain and mellowed out my body. I think smoking is fine after surgeries just be careful and if your body tells you to stop, stop and wait about a week or so and see where it takes you
Iâm on day 4 since my laparoscopic appendectomy. Would it be okay for me to start smoking again? I can see it being highly beneficial for my certain situation.

A BBL is one of the most dangerous surgeries out there! It has the highest DEATH RATE. Once you got it you need to keep getting it cause your body doesn't store fat naturally there and it will eventually go away. Also they puncture your connective tissue with the needles which will lead to irreversible cellulite. Just look at unphotoshopped pictures of Kim K's monster butt. She looks like she got Lipdemia but only on her butt. The healthiest and cheapes thing you can do is hit the gym. The only "good" surgical option is sculptra body filler but then again you need to keep getting and paying for that just like lipfiller. Working out is not that difficult really. Also accept that the whole big butt thing is just a trend I remember when I was growing up during the Paris Hilton and Britney Spears era I tried so hard to get a flatter and smaller butt đ Trends come and go..
I worked out for whole year and because of my body type i will never get the curves achieved through a bbl. I still workout 6 days a week squats, weights, cross fit, zumba, etc. soms people is not lazy for the small minded people. People just want curves that everyone is not able to achieve by going to the damn gym.

I went for a consultation for a BBL and they told me if I failed a UA for Marijuana that they would cancel my surgery! I ended up going with a different surgeon! My surgeon said to stop smoking weed 6 weeks before and after but they never said they test.

@@lilfinesse4524 I waited till the 3rd day after extraction. I smoked and made sure I brushed softly and rinse with warm salt water every time I finished smoking and I was fine. No dry socket and itâs been healing nice over all.

I smoked the same day, about 4/5 hours post op. I didn't pull to much when smoking because I didn't want to dislodge the clot that had formed and brushed my teeth after every time I smoked. I had no problem at all. Just be carefull and look after it. My dentist said my bone grew back perfectly and that I can now have my implant to replace the missing tooth.

Canât sleep very well after hair transplant surgery, took co-codamol and promethazine-didnât help much as I kept waking up in mild pain and severe itching on the scalp. Then had edibles the next few days, worked brilliantly. đđŸ
That's what I'm doing ..the edibles but it's not same so after watching this I think I'll roll a joint lol ..hope you got good results

Hey guys! I had my open rhinoplasty yesterday. My surgery was an hour long, I had my bulbious tip shrunk, my nose lifted and a lot of bones (hook/bump) taken out to have the smallest nose ever. When I woke up, I was in 7/10 pain and couldnât open my eyes even though I was waking up, so the nurse gave me liquid pain killers through my hand needle and it went away. It was hard to eat because I have a strong phobia of puking after medical procedures, so I ate a few fries, a few veggies and lots of water through a straw. Iâll est ice cream and yogourt when I get home. Tampons are removed after 4 days, and the mask after 7 days. Whenever I feel any pain higher than 6/10, I take my pain killers. My throat is dry due to using the AC, but I got throat lozenges and syrup for the throat. I highly recommend avoiding AC and just staying cool with fans or staying inside if itâs too hot out. Day 2-3 are the worst according to docs and other rhinoplasty patients and after 72 hours, itâs smooth-sailing from there. Iâm not looking forward to today or tomorrow, but Iâm strong, got my family around me and lots of meds. So far so good! Best of luck to you and your surgery, donât be scared itâs not as scary and dramatic as our brains make it out to be! đ

definitely not yet cause the sucking could mess with your stitches or cause infection. try to wait till the holes/stitches are healed. i wonât lie.. i took nose dabs after i got mine out. it was brutal but better than nothing. you could also try edibles
